Kh my aching back !  If that is a thing of the past why do so many suffer?  Lolol!
Hot again with a promise of the high Z80’s in a week or so!   During the heat, I will be without power for a while as my generator will be  installed on the fifth!   Company sending a crew from Macon as they had a cancelation but It will not be operating that day as the propane tank will probably not be available!   Would have to wait until the end of the month for the Valdosta office to do the instal.   We have all become dependent on electricity!   I have been without  for weeks and so not find it fun!  Too old now.
Tig, I thought the oldest  DQ. Was in Joliet, il .
Clynn, I was in the  Norad  facility in the mountain!   Interesting place!   Love tge picture of the kids.
My mother sewed but I never got the hang of it!   Made an outfit I never wire and did make kitchen curtains!
Lisa, did your Mother have a replica of the Middle Bay  Lighthouse?  Love that one!
Lani, sorry Mike is working longer!
Waving to all!    Seds
BL, lol

TIG  Love the idea of the oldest Dairy Queen - Had no idea!  Am sure you will enjoy something yummy.

CLYNN  Used every single one of those expressions  LOLOL   Didn't realize how many there actually were,  by golly!    LOL on the 3 friends  ;D ;D ;D

PHYL   Another quip from the doctor.  Tim said " You need a raise.  Doc responded - I did - Medicare now gives me $10.00 for the surgery  LOLOL      Bet there were no nude beaches back in the day of that beachwear  LOL

KAREN   "The Dilly Bar debuted in 1954 at the DQ in Moorhead, Minnesota—one of the oldest locations that's still in operation. According to the restaurant's website, an employee trainer put a dollop of ice cream on a piece of cardboard, stuck a stick in it and said, “Ain't that a Dilly!”Sep 5, 2019"     However the first DQ was in Joliet, IL

BL  Just got this info from one of the Aus/NZ reps last month. Chad Croft Mgr. Tangalooma Island Resort.  Kinda like getting attached to our eaglets.  Graciously mom and baby have accepted the visitors of their waters.  He said he hadn't processed something he would share when he did.  Graciously he did this.  Swimmers on the beach are thrilled and being very protective of the pair.

Yep, TSK, that is why I placed oldest in quotes.  ;D  This is the one a couple of miles from us: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/food/minnesota/oldest-operating-iconic-restaurant-state
And, no, Mr. "I was raised on Dilly Bars" decided to have a Blizzard. I detest Dillys. I had a marshmallow/hot fudge sundae.

Here are a few pics Camper and I took of the storm damage/results on Tuesday:
The umbrella was fine but the green bench was thrown across to the fence
The city tree across the street from our driveway lost a large branch
another view... and another branch a few doors down blocked us in most of the day
  The famous welcome mural

Micki Benson caught the leading edge of our storms.

Fierce winds brought down trees once again in town, and power out.

I am fine once again!

Calm waters says photographer Tim Card....this is the lake close to my house I used to walk around. 3.5 miles...it's just not safe anymore. :'( :'( Lake Harriet in Minneapolis

Calm before our predicted now enhanced storms for 5pm.

Many still without power since 3 days ago, argg.

got the back mowed.

I'm ready. So, I assume that means I won't be impacted ;) ;)

Kb, stunning lighting on this image.

Tsk, Glad to hear Tim is doing well, bless him... back to litter duty on Saturday, Lulu will be pleased. And you! LOL! ... I had to look up Dilly Bar never had one or heard of it, even though I've been to DQ, it's like an Eskimo ice cream bar.

Clynn, Dr. Greene has been closely watching the Iris/Finn and kids down by the river every day. He's like us, we're so happy for Iris, he wants to take in every moment. I bet he wishes he would have banded her chicks this year. But, he has a good ID on each. I can tell them apart too.... Love "Unstoppable You (FB) - Heavens to Mergatroyd!" Many great expressions   ;D

BL, thanks for Yusuf/Cat Stevens  :)

Phyl, I pray for a good season for Sauces and Two Harbors too. What a beautiful and devoted pair of eagles to their nests, like Big Bear. I wish the snow would ease up for that beautiful pair too.... Tent dresses were easy/quick to sew and comfy for school. Especially when wearing bikini so it's easy to go to the beach after school.  ;D

{{{Karen}}} I didn't realize you've been without power for weeks now.  :o  glad your generator will be installed soon. Take care  :-*

{{{Tig,}}} glad you didn't get any storm damage.

{{{Kb}}} YIKES! what an image of the storm clouds!  Scary  :o. Take care.

Good night!

Antali's keeping watch tonight after a very good fishing day.

PUFF  Thanks for the addendum to the Joliet DQ.  Only a plaque remains  ;) ;)

TIG  I'm not a fan of Dilly Bars either - nothing special - like a mini Snickers Blizzard  LOLOL  WOW  Significant tree damage for your 2 neighbors.  At least the branches didn't fall on roofs.

KB   Prayers for Cottage Grove  Maybe a tornado eval?

PHYL   Pond turtle 365 or alien?  LOL  Cool.

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, love hearing that Dr. Greene is as 'over the moon' for Iris and Finn as we are, especially after the years of anguish and sadness that we have had! Looks like Antali has a nice, full crop! The fish have been so plentiful I am surprised and so proud of Iris and Finn!

Phyl, very interesting about women and pants! I graduated in 1970 and it was still the rule, no pants for girls. The requirement was deleted starting the 70/71 school year. When I started working at the bank in 1983 women could not wear pants to work, and hose were required. Then they finally allowed pantsuits for women a couple of years later! And a female would never wear pants to church! The 365, I was watching that one ant walking about, then finally the turtle's head rose! 69 here now, high 81 today. It rained a lot during the night and has cooled us down!

tsk, there just are not enough Dairy Queens and Baskin Robbins around! I worked at the Dairy Del in Albion when I was a senior in HS, it was like a DQ, every little town had a Dairy Queen-like store!

SF Bay Ospreys - Richmond, Rosie, Tully and Pax

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown
