KB - I had to replace my GFCI outlets a couple of weeks ago - it would not reset when you pushed the button - when I took the front cover off, multiple small pieces of plastic fell out.  The plastic case had shattered from age - 30 years old - I have 2 in my house, so I replaced the other as well - it had several cracks and would have failed soon.  Check your house to see how many you have and have the electrician replace them all at once.  They have a spring inside of them that acts as the trigger force to trip the outlet off - this is a constant pressure on the plastic case.

I was a might bit confused and turned around for 10 days but I ain't never been really lost.

In order to get truly lost entails not being anywhere, I haven't been able to re-create that.

If your somewhere then you just don't know where you are at the present time.

This yummy Peaches and Cream Cake is made of soft layers of sponge cake with fresh homemade chunky peach jam, lightly sweetened fluffy whipped cream with crunchy roasted almonds on the outside and fresh peaches and cream on top!

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, sweet good night kitties... Love the updates on the Royal Albies, they will soon take flight, on to their new adventure! Those sweet little sloths , how many on that branch? Looks like at least 5, all huddled together!

tig, DANG!  Hope the outage doesn't last too long!

BL, hope you never get lost! Do you have a lot of intoxicated people running into your power poles?

Puff, I was curious as to what replaced Route 66 and found this little bit. We drove 66 every summer when I was a kid, when we were stationed in NM and AZ, to visit Grandpa and Grandma:

Route 66 was replaced by five Interstates: I-55 southbound from Chicago, I-44 across Missouri and Oklahoma, I-40 in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, I-15 and finally I-10 into Los Angeles. Today, in 2024, several states recognize the historical significance of the road, and have it marked with "66" in the state highway number.

tsk, so good to hear that Tim is feeling much better, hope he is even better today! I can't even think of Ed getting off the oxycontin and oxycodone, he has been on it for over 10 years because of his back. Hope Tim doesn't have any issues!

BAZI   I did catch the Stevens Burel match last night - What a comeback!!!

KB   Hope you made it through the night!  Never saw an 82% dew point before!!  Best prepared and you lucked out!  WOW  what a terrible storm.  Amazing he caught that video.

TIG  Kind of a beautiful sunset, tho.   My friend in the UP which was also scheduled to have some rough weather said it was a really rough scary night.  Lots of debris on her lawn this AM  Just read about the power loss.  Hope it won't be for too long.

CLYNN  That was very interesting about the interstates that replace the original Rte 66.     Tim has to get off of Norco - and he will. It keeps his blood sugar over 200 and this has been since April!!!  It was 280 when he left the hospital Friday ( they did not give him insulin before he left.) But now on regular diabetic meds it was 197 the other day.  Hope it is still better this AM

Some bounce
Now that we have daylight... and Camper is up... we have 2 broken branches on 2 if our evergreens and our bench was blown across the yard. Pics to follow eventually.
The neighbors across the street have a big branch down across their driveway.
Will need to possibly postpone trip to the fair until tomorrow...

Thanks for the lantern recommendation, BL will do.

Thanks, Puff for keeping your eye up upon us.

Well, tig - that second round was just as strong as our first I read.

I have power, but no internet. I am using my cell phone data right now....will be short.

Later.
