LANI  Great Mother's Day post  ;)

BAZI  I'm kind of the family representative to the Oak Park kids adventures.  One grandpa and grandpa live in Green Bay and the other in Door county.  On the Dad's side the grandparents live in Grand Rapids Mi.   I live 30 min away  LOLOL   In the past, we have all been together but illnesses and difficulties driving have changed those events.  Nowadays tho videos can be made so that is a help.

KAREN   Thanks for the look back  ;D

tig - Glad to hear you are done with the monitor.  Ohh, 86 is too hot the be mowing.

karen - What a great pic from 1939.  Glad to hear there was no falls in putting the coleus in the ground.

baz - Good job on the walk.  Jeff's uncle did post that the boat is fixable.

Good Night, everyone  :)

LisaG I do also have a large collection of CA big pine cones.  They are in a wicker basket at the base of the fireplace downstairs.  They got "imported" on a trip we did to San Fran for a wine cruise down the Napa River.  Driving through the Redwood areas you see the cones.  Don't know if there was a ordinance, we gathered some up anyway.  I bought a cardboard storage box 2' x 4' and layered them out - checked the box as luggage.  I always start to wonder at what the security xray personnel thought when they saw that when it passed thru.   LOLOL

Did a long day outside today, 10 - 3.  Took it real easy.  Lots of breaks  -- lots of looooooong breaks.  I do a little bit I'll do again tomorrow.  But, I have a dinner meeting so I'll be short.  I'm estimating about 3 more days of aches and pains.

Lots of cars/visitors on the block for mother's day, or grandmothers' day for our group.  Hope you all had a nice, fun day.  Lots of memories to pop back up.

Glad you researched tsk and found that old mailbox pic.  I found it too.  But with this new machine and new programs I just couldn't get it to copy to send or scan.  And, since Darien has gone into the rules and regulations habit they no doubt have a rule against the siren setup.   ;D

I hope I'm back inside tomorrow to get some time in watching the Key Bridge procedures.

Back tomorrow - have a pleasant evening all.

P

Just got back  home a couple of hours ago.

LISA- just went back to re-read your Sat. post. Yikes! Jeff's uncle is very fortunate tree missed the house. Glad the boat
is  safely repairable and  not total loss.

TSK- your great niece is greatly talented.  Does she have aspirations in the' performing arts' ?  Good performances always leave
one 'breathless'. What you said is true of a lot of families nowadays

BAZ- cheery yellow posies today. When are you gonna post a baby photo?

KAREN- very nice nostalgia for today. Relieved there were no 'accidents' in the garden today

OG-many thanks for the Mother's Day wishes. And, I did have a wonderful day.

Good Night Everyone...SEDs.  🙏 's

Since I love museums and history---For Mother’s Day  we went to
The Frist Museum for the Visual Arts , downtown  Nashville.
We toured the soon closing exhibition ‘Monuments and Myths’

https://fristartmuseum.org/exhibition/monuments-and-myths/

Here are a few of the   several snaps I took serving as  my mementos.

Apologize for the angle of the 'note' on the Victory model.  But that was how it positioned when uploaded .
And, wouldn't rotate.

Went back  home and  since it was Mother’s Day celebration  we dressed for the occasion. And, had  very nice dinner at Nashville’s Union Station.

We each had -shrimp cocktail with our favorite cocktail drinks
Jim- short rib
Me-Ora King Salmon

On the way  out, Jim noticed a couple he had flown corporate for Mars Pet Care as their Chief Pilot in their Flight Dept.
So we stopped by their table, as invited, we sat and chatted and had another cocktail.
It was so nice to catch up.
