13 degree wind chill this AM  LOL  from 73 yesterday.

KAREN    Gosh that would be terrible for the penguins..

OLDGUY   I'd say you got your money's worth out of your 1995 range!!   Dwarf kitty like Claire's Lulu.  :)   Emily Barton is one creative little girl.  Art work is beautiful too

PHYL  Newman looks lonely..   Someone got creative with tools  LOL    RRP  6 Goldens now.   :o

Good Morning Beakers!

Busy day today, Sophie goes in this morning for her spay procedure and they both get their second injection of the Feline Combo vaccination (for FHV-1, FCV, FPV, rabies, and FeLV}. Then I have a dentist appointment, then Ed has a dentist appointment. Then a meeting with our Financial Advisor and finally to pick Sophie up after 2:00. All this on the coldest day! 9 degrees right now, high of 35. Then it will be 79 on Sunday!

tsk, wow, some bad weather there! None of that here, the wind has actually calmed down. No snow at all (they kept predicting it!}

Phyl, not good news for Grindavik... Thanks for Amy's Blog. I would love to see a golden eagle! I have onlky ever seen the one they have at The National Eagle Center. Very interesting bird sculpture!

oldguy, you are right, from summer to winter...and then back to summer! Crazy!  Thanks for the links, will watch them a bit later this morning.

Lani, yes, when I joined the forum it was 2011, you and calhound were already there, and it was called The Decorah Lounge then. I lurked for a few months and then jumped in! It was also the year we watched Jewell on the NABC bear cam.  I think Iremember when we were watching the 3rd egg hatch in Decorah there were over 130,000 viewers all over the world! It was on Ustream then. Bob had no idea what he had started back then.  It was a good thing.  Love all those little dogs lined up for bedtime!

BL, glad to hear you and Pip made it back to home base!

Sneaky devils.  Wood Ducks.

From the Kruger Natonal Park

Brrr......thought about you last night tsk when I looked at radar....glad it all worked out at your abode.

oldguy - thanks for sharing that info on your new range.....Very interesting looking. Please let us know how you end up liking it or not after install. I have a much older one and know someday it will need replacement.

My range was old when I bought my house in 1999...so I have no idea how old it is. Knocking on wood. It's a gas oven/stove and I love it. Self cleaning too so I think it might be a Sears brand?...the only thing that doesn't work on it is the clock.

Ah, I see it's a Kenmore continuous cleaning solid state ignition range..long liver!

Off to start a crockpot meal...Later

Yep, not a good night around Chi Town.

They'll make decisions on the several possible reports of tornadoes.  They alerted us all day long, but always hard to see and deal with.  As tsk said it stayed north and west of the main corridor.  I actually felt at the beginning that it was going to e north of me, maybe just rain.  Nope, I got lots of hail and lots of rain; a bit too scary amount of popcorn-sized hail beating on the mansion.  Two worst areas mentioned and shown on morning news was Geneva and Lake and East Chicago burbs.  Temperatures also took a big dive.  Before the front slipped in it was about 73 - Got up this morning to a brisk 28.  Under the afghan last night.

Just to mention/remind ya'll - tsk and I are about 20 miles apart.

Yep... I stayed under the covers this morning. No going out and risking walking on ice for me. I'll be watching the memorial and prossesion for the murdered first responders on TV later this morning.
TSK, Puff.... Glad you both checked in. I hope you don't have hail damage. The wind was wild here.
Lani... Love the pups pics (under blanky, not robes)  ::)

Oh! And I get to watch Iowa at MN on Peacock tonight!
