Just Saw a report stating that it is colder in Kentucky then it is in Anchorage Alaska, so Phyllis no wonder you’re cold. It’s no pictures later.

Tig, Our Eagles, and press anywhere near all the California fires I can’t remember exactly where she lives but it seemed that she was in the Los Angeles area. Let her know I’m thinking of her and how she say safe.
Lani, thanks for the Alby report. The feathers on that little man are incredible. Looking to me and look like fabric. You really have to look and know that that is a real life heard I hate it that you are so close to the fire and getting all of that small it is unhealthy for you to breathe in that toxic ass family. There is a flat iron building in Chicago that is located at Milwaukee Avenue North Avenue and another That was a nice close the patio with all those plants a little chair in
street. When is the distance can’t remember anyway I always thought it was kind of interesting taking up all the available land between all those roads. Thanks for the reminder of that.,

Two weeks ago at a shelter in Central new York receive a beagle mix. Two year old who is very pregnant. Below is a picture of mama and her nine babies. She is in a foster home and is Lisa’s rollup pool see below.

Nope Zero containment with winds increasing tonight. It seems to be at east moving west, not east, for now anyway. I forgot I worked at a Chiropractic Office in Pacific Palisades for almost a year...I was doing a residency before taking boards. Love that area. Have multiple friends as well from there but they moved up to Santa Barbara so not there anymore. Loved Topanga Canyon drive especially...

Been watching live feeds now for hours.
The wind did switch to the east and also west.

It's truly apocalyptic. Air support is not happening as winds are too strong and they have a call out for more firefighters.

I've never seen mandatory evacuations down the hills right into Santa Monica..the city of Santa Monica.

Night all. I fear in the morning the numbers will be horrific.

Kb, awww {{{Ollie man}}} ...the CA fires are heartbreaking. I saw quite a few X photos and videos of the fire surrounding homes, their decks, etc... terrible  :'(

Lisa, A girl's gotta get her haircut no matter what the weather!  ... That's a lot of snow. I just read Tsk's comment,... poor mailman...  Nice to see the sun out.

Karen, If it's AE Shadow and Jack you're thinking of, I just checked their nest cam and all is well. But, I can't imagine all the wildlife being effected by the fires.... awww sweet mama Beagle and babies. I pray they all get adopted.

I've been watching Fox News Los Angeles coverage of Palisades Fire.

A quick note...As of about 10: 19 PM The Pacific Palisades / Los Angeles wildfires burned 2,900 acres and some areas were contained. And, authorities said it was moving west skipping over highways and out to the ocean. That is if the Santa Ana winds didn't blow it east. The force of these winds were predicted
to be at hurricane force reaching 100 mph.

When the Spanish Conquistadors first arrived to our western shore and ventured inland they experienced my home state's searing  hot temperatures and heat ... wildfires  stemming from just a spark of the sun's concentrated light on dry brush.
They named the land 'California'  meaning 'Land of the oven's heat'.

Overslept this morning! I think that is a good thing...    6 degrees right now, looks cold outside. But on the 'bright side' it will be in the 30s for four days, starting tomorrow!

Phyl, the fires in CA are so bad, heartbreaking to even think about. Danny doesn't live near that area does he? That little X video is so sad. I heard on the news, a man desperate to get to his house so he could save his beloved dogs. Thank goodness he was finally able to get them out of the house and leave. Jimmy Carter's service was beautiful, watched the whole thing on MSNBC. I wish there were more like him, he was a good man. He is with Rosalynn now and they are happy again...

Lani, love the closeup of RLK! I checked earlier and it sounds like they are making some progress on the Horton Fire, it said 23% contained. Fingers crossed.  Love the camping dogs!

karen, awww, what a sweet Beagle Mom with all of her babies! I am so glad she and her pups are safe!

tsk, glad to hear nothing seriously wrong with your shoulder. Did the Doc agree that it was 'puzzle arm?    I am sure you know exactly what pt you need!

Lisa, yes, you got dumped on. Wouldn't it be wonderful if all that snow could be teleported to CA and dumped on the Palisades Fire!

In Winona, Minnesota, there is a tiny community that is one of the most unique in the entire world. Made up of over 100 houseboats - each of different materials, and all moored on a Mississippi River island - this little community is truly special.
