Phyl, love the JB classic nature video of the lone black wolf.... sweet pic of gorgeous cats in front of the fireplace.

Lisa, Love the arrow sign. LOL!  ;D  ...  I'm sorry your dad had the same treatment from BellSouth.  :( ...  I just watched the KC Chiefs land in Denver, and it's snowing... Sounds like you're ready to hunker down... Please stay safe and warm...

Clynn, The giant pinecones would be great Fall, Christmas and winter decor.... Love Harley and Honey's photos, especially the wreath sitter.  :-* ... love the "Silent Letters" video.. LOL!! I listed to it twice... darling pic of the SWFL eaglets... don't know what to say about turkey mourning poor dead cat. Never have seen that.  :'( ...

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, hope you and Mike are doing well, I know you missed the girls being there for Christmas. Life is always changing... I look through the pictures of my cats often, just like I go back through the years and see how Talon and Bella have grown... Here is a picture Erin sent me, Bella sitting at her new desk, in the dark...

BL, thanks for posting the Beakers Location link again! Maybe you could post it every new year, we are all getting older and more forgetful about the 'safe and I'll remember' place we put things!

Lisa, funny how those extreme snows stick in our mind! I remember the blizzard of 1978 when I lived in Springfield, but I have seen pictures of the 1967 blizzard in Chicago and remember hearing about it on the news. I think it was over 20" of snow. The picture of Lakeshore Drive sticks in my mind:

tsk, do you remember living through that? I have been driving on Lake Shore Drive and I just can't imagine it with that much snow. What a mess

Phyl, hope the bad weather isn't as bad as they are predicting, you and Jim stay safe. On the radar it looks like we are in the path but then it dips south and we are spared...this time. Mom's driveway is hilly, I won't even back down it any time of the year! Blacktop road with ditches on both sides. I have backed into that ditch in younger years! Luckily there is space to get the car turned around. Mom doesn't walk down to the mailbox anymore, we have forbid her. She has neuropathy in her feet and uses a cane. Not going down that hill. Either the help brings her mail in or she gets it from the car before she heads up the driveway. Love the cuddly good night picture!

Book Store...

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

TIG   Speaking of Camper's photos.  Does he have a few from your vacation out west to show us?

CLYNN   Awww look at Miss Bella - growing up into a big girl.  :D.  Actually I didn't move to Chicago til July of 1969  But we had a major storm after that that paralyzed the city and burbs.  I remember the 20.3" in 1979.  Didn't realize Mom lived on a hill.  Nor did I realize she still drove!!!

Currently: 36F  rain/snow mix , High  50F  , Low 35F

Hope all those getting   heavy snow fall from this winter weather are warm and safe inside. And, enjoying their fireplaces this Sunday.

CLynn-- sorry about your mom's health issues, esp. her feet. And relieved she has neighbors that help the mail and other things.    Bella and her desk are a perfect fit so many buy children's furniture too large allowing for growth.  Oh and those snowfall pictures ...I hope the weather doesn't get that bad for any of us as Lake Shore Drive. Whew, relieved your mom doesn't get the mail and other stuff... ;)  When my mom had her stroke she'd just moved back her and was settle in a town house that had courtesies for seniors.    Such a quaint looking bookstore  :)

Lisa---how are  B & B kitties this  AM... doing well I hope.

Tsk--I luv orange juice and there's a tall one too  ;)

Prayers for:  Victims of natural  and Man-made disasters plus those who rescue them. The Fallen / Our Allies in Defense of our country. And   #47.   Police and First Responders.   'Little Gray' and 'Little One' and  all abandoned, abused , lost cats , stray, unloved, homeless  and feral cats.

TSK.... I have not yet seen the pictures! I'll need to give him a nudge. He was busy this Fall with senior pictures for 2 young people, and Christmas pics for the "Navy" family and in between he prepared for his camera club meetings, etc. Sigh.

I very much enjoyed watching tennis all night from Australia.
I won't spoil the news in case BAZ hasn't seen it yet.  8)

Just 11 hours left until kickoff!

Good luck to all Minnesota Vikings fans tonight !

I did not realize the Vikings and the Lions have the same record this season.

I would love to see Kansas City VS Vikings for the Super Bowl.   ;D

Phyl, love those beautiful winter wreaths, I wish I could design one like that! Not good at coming up with the ideas but good at copying! The 365 is so soothing, back and forth, in and out, over and over... What a crowd at the shoreline! Thanks for the video of the best places to see eagles! I think Mom can stay in her house for a long time. There are stairlifts that we had put in for Dad, walk-in shower and she can get as much help as she needs since she has Long Term Care. She has help 3 days a week for 3 hours per day. The gal she has now is good and they get along well.

tsk, yes, Mom still drives (she passed the test in November), she goes to Fairfield (15 miles west) or Mt Carmel (16 miles west) if she needs something, and she can go to the DG Market in Albion in a pinch! Most of her medical appointments are in Evansville, IN (55miles SE) and so are Aunt Linda's, so they always go together and Linda always drives! I will take a picture of the driveway when I go in April. It's not a huge hill but enough that I don't think one could get up it easily if there was ice on it. Looking at the house from the front it is a 2 story where the bedrooms, family room and garage are but in the back it looks 1-story, the hill still goes up into the little wooded area we call the back yard. Well, here is a picture of the 79 blizzard for you:

Okay, this is gross but historical! snicker, snicker... ;D ;D
This is the largest fossilized human turd ever found. It belonged to a sick Viking in the 9th Century AD, and has been valued at $39,000".
The large, “precious” Poop, officially known as the Lloyds Bank Coprolite,
the word “Coprolite” simply meaning fossilized dung. This 1200 year old log that is thought to be the largest recorded in human history.
At 8 inches long and 2 inches wide, specimen was discovered, in York northwest England in 1972 by construction workers during the building of a Lloyds TSB branch, in an area once ruled by Norse warriors. It takes its name from institution Lloyds Bank.

BL... yes. If we win, we get a bye week and home field advantage throughout... if not, we have to play a wild card game and go on the road = failure

Clynn... Oh my...

The "moment" on CBS Sunday morning today celebrated the Bald Eagle as official.

BL, she is safely hunkered down with provisions! I just looked at TWC radar and the storm, (Blair, they have named it) got up ALMOST to Des Moines but dropped south just in time!

Good Morning Beakers...Happy Sunday!

tsk - I would hope my lil B&B guest would want some hot cocoa.  Boots, gloves, coat, scarf and snow brush for car are all by the door.   :D

tig - Oh wow, cold outside, and cold in the rink.  Brrr!

Phyl - We didn't need much, but I wanted to get some of the essentials at grocery yesterday.  Are you all getting the wintry mix today?  The B&B kitties are doing ok, fingers crossed they stay in the cat houses or shed tonight.

Lani - I am hunkered down.  I pulled out a Butterball boneless turkey on Friday, and will do that today for dinner.

clynn - Oh my, Lakeshore Drive!  Bella looks like she has a nice set up there in her room. I hope your Mama stays put with the storm.  Love the book store!

kb and tig - Good luck to your teams.

BrokenLug - Thank you, appreciate all your weather posts.   :)

karen, Puff, kb and all - Morning  :)
