Lisa, great pics of the new favorite hangout for HM and HD, up at the far end of the creek.

The goslings have gotten to look more like adult geese in the past few days.  Smaller in size, but darker feathers coming in.  Baby birds don't stay babies for very long.

It was good to see them, maybe they will hang out there more often now that the geese don't seem to be around.

Juvenile bald eagle perched on dead limb upstream from N1 early this morning, then probably the same eagle on a round bale at the farm up the road from the horse barn about 9:00 AM.

Watch a muskrat gathering den materials at the edge of the Pond about 9:15 AM.

Thank you all for the pics of HM and HD. Apparently, they have built another new nest? I wonder why they did not have a clutch this year.

lil - They started building a nest in the tree where I have the red arrow in early April, and cam ops have not shown them there in that tree lately, so maybe they have stopped and are on vacation.  It seemed like they had a clutch this year, as we saw them taking fish from the pond over to the other side of the bluffs, that was about a week before they started building the new nest.  Maybe something happened to the hatchlings...we will never know.

HM was spotted upstream this morning right past the bluff ledge behind the leaves.

Lisa, seeing a rainbow is always special!  This time it was a double rainbow, and on the video rewind ALL of it is in view for just a moment.  I got both ends in pics.  Even more special to see HM and HD perching together.

Yesterday morning, a sub-adult was perched upstream bluff side, stayed for a while and flew off.

A few pics from Deocrah this morning.  The raccoon visitor in nest, and laid down on Y.  Not sure who, but a lil before 8am, a BE flew downstream and behind N2B area.

Lisa, love those long views of flights up and downstream at Decorah.  Seems to be hazy or misty in the whole area this morning.

Pretty sunrise in Decorah this morning, A GBH on the tree across the farm, and HM upstream with a fish.

A real treat from Decorah this evening, CamOp says, we are viewing Mom & DM2 nest N4 with a view of D40! Take a peek on rewind if you missed it.
