Saturday at DNN appears to be about the same as Friday.  All is well with the Norths.  At the changeover in the posted pics, DNF flew off to the South of the nest, followed by MrN.  He returned in just a few minutes.

And Sunday starts as a repeat of Saturday.  Changeover from DNF to MrN about 6:00, before daylight.  And MrN called for help about 8:30, flew to the Love Branches, and shortly after DNF arrived with a big load of fresh grasses.  Could be another egg today.

DNF has a fondness for the 2:00 hour this season. Second egg laid just before three today, 2:49 PM to be exact.
MrN brought her a large fish about 10:00. There were shift changes before DNF returned at 2:00 to begin the laying process.
Next question -- will she go for a third egg?

What a picturesque scene at the North's home this morning. It's extra special knowing there are two beautiful eggs there, as well! Hoping for a calm, successful season for this pair.

The Norths are taking good care of their two eggs today, but so far, not showing off both of them at the same time!
At changeover about 9:30 AM, MrN brought some grasses, deposited them on DNF's back, then they both left the nest for a short mating session in a nearby tree.  So perhaps a third egg???

In closeups at 10:30, the view includes a length of binder twine next to MrN.  See blue marking in pic.  Binder twine is used to bale hay, and probably got picked up with a load of nest materials.  It could be hazardous if it is tied in a loop.  So hope that it gets buried deep in the nest soon.   :o   :o

My question of the day - What kind of bird did DNF get served to her?  Hawk? would be my guess.

But then, again, that claw looks like a turkey claw????

OK, no more guesses/choices.  I'm quiet.

Don't blink!  You'll miss the action!  We got a glimpse of both eggs about 1:00.  A red squirrel visited nearby about 2:00.  Between then and 3:00 there were background sounds that might have been some kind of visitor or intruder, and DNF went on flapping, screaming defense at an unseen threat right about 3:00.  She settled and MrN took over by 3:15.  He was more alert than usual also.

But wait . . . there's more   :D

Another changeover at 4:00, when DNF came with new grasses.  Then one of the eggs had its first extreme closeup.  Finally, MrN brought a pheasant for dinner.   Watch on the rewind if you like eagle consuming prey up close and bloody.  This afternoon will make some great video.

Quieter on the North's nest today, with changeovers as expected, and  several views of the eggs.  Cam ops are doing a great job!

Afternoon delight for the Norths.  About 3:40, DNF is on the nest and calls to MrN, who is perched above. She flies to the tall branches behind the nest and calls some more. He joins her and they mate.  He returns to the nest after a few moments and we get a peek at the eggs.  Maybe soon there will be a third egg.

While all the eagle activity is going on, there's gobbling sounds in the background.  Could be wild turkeys or pheasants or a rooster at the farm.  Very early spring is mating season for lots of species.

Pheasants on view under the nest tree early this morning, a male and a female.  Better be alert or they could be lunch!
On the nest, all is well.  MrN and DNF kept showing only one egg from daylight until 5:00, when both were visible for a few seconds.  It's funny how they can still hide the eggs with all the different cameras this year.
