Well, now there are three!  DH19 is laying down on the right of the other two.  Let the adventure begin! This video is made possible because of Dale Hollow Eagle Cam, Dale Hollow Marina Association, and Twin Lakes Telephone Coop.. and is for educational purposes only. 

As Dale Hollow Eagle Cam (DHEC) enters its 7th season watching the life cycle of these magnificent American bald eagles, Obey & River.
This eagle's nest is located on Dale Hollow Lake, a 30,000 acre reservoir located on the Kentucky-Tennessee state line.

Dale Hollow Nest - DH17 and DH18 Caught in Fishing Line - 4/23/23

Prayers needed for these 2 precious little ones... they have a chance at a good life if they can get free. Prayers for you sweet juvies 💜



River trying to remove fish line for DH17 & DH18...


Both eaglets are now entangled in the fishing line. River tried to pull it off, but was not successful. DH18 appears to have some injury to it's foot and some swelling. Both eaglets are still being fed, but it is unlikely that they can remove the fishing line on their own. DHEC has stated many times that they will not interfere, but there is a lot of pressure to intervene. Local media and USFWS are aware of the issue. April 26th, 2023: One Dale Hollow eaglet was been rescued and is under the care of the American Eagle Foundation (AEF). The remaining eaglet appears to be physically healthy and remains in the nest.
