MSU peregrine has laid a third egg!

She laid egg 3 Mar 28
Thats great - 3 eggs.  I dont recall how many she had in 2022

Egg 3  -  March 28

In 2022, the peregrines laid 3 eggs. 
All three fledged, all three banded.
See pic from 6-9-22.

Cannot see their numbers.

Awesome, four eggs for MSU peregrines.

I can't tell which parent is which unless they are right together, then the male is the smaller bird.
Since last year's hatchlings were banded, we know that this year's parents are not any of them.
Most likely the same adult pair as last year.

Situation looks normal at the MSU nest box this morning.  Rain before noon.

About 10:30 this morning, the female came to the nest box for egg duty.  The male slowly got up and left. Also a quick view of the eggs as the female settled in.

Shep thanks for the heads-up about almost hatching time at MSU.

The geese are hatching today at Decorah's N2B.

Changeover from female to male at about 11:30 AM.  Male smaller than female.  Eggs look OK.  Must be getting close to hatching time. Incubation is 29 to 32 days according to AllAboutBirds.com.
