Garrama fledged

Cilla note 14th November
Garrama (the male) fledged at 39 days old.
We found him and caught him to examine his tail as some of his tail feathers had not emerged.  I've removed the sheaths (with tiny scissors) but am still not happy with his condition, so I will be taking him to Taronga Western Plains zoo (Dubbo)  for assessment. 

15th November
Unfortunately, Garrama was euthanased at Taronga Western Plains Zoo today after X rays showed he had a severely deformed spine (birth defect) and would never be able to fly.
