Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, enjoyed your pics of the Cane Ridge Bluebirds! I am always amazed at how you recognize them! They really love the home you and Jim have provided for them! Oh that chicken lamp! How clever that the bulb is the egg! I had to look up NES (Nashville Electric Service)! Wonder what the problem was?  Heavy rain? A heavy melting snow in the Alps! Your beef stew looks delish! I haven't made stew for a long time, Mom used to make it often!

Lani, oh no on Mike, the back is such a tricky place for issues! I hope he can get another shot soon! Sounds like your stepfather was a good cook, did he cook at home too? I wish Ed cooked! I envy women whose husbands cook!  We are getting two kittens! Can't wait, just worrying a bit about how Harley will take it! Might take a while, but we got Max and Emma as kittens after we lost Bogey. Beanie adjusted to them after a week or so of caution... then they all three cuddled together!

baz, love your Autumn walk picture, beautiful! Still chuckling about Zippo's reaction to karen's joke! LOLOL!

BL, I so agree, nothing quite like a sunny walk through the rustling leaves with a bit of a nip in the air!  Santana is playing right now...thanks!

karen, wow, an 8' tall fence! I looked up the City code: According to the City of Valdosta Land Development Regulations, fences in Valdosta shall be a minimum of 6 feet and maximum of 8 feet in height and constructed of standard wood or masonry fencing materials, which will provide at least 90% visual blockage. Maybe you could have a mural painted on your side!

Puff, it sounds like you have a wonderful collection of Christmas decor, I would love to see it after you get everything done! Maybe some pictures? I used to do a lot more than I do now, but I still do a good bit! We used to have two trees, a real one in the living room with all the metal ornaments, and an artificial skinny one in the family room with all the other ornaments. I loved sitting in the living room with the beautiful smell of the tree. A book detailing all of your travel experiences would be something wonderful! My Mom has been working on documenting her life and travels, I know we will enjoy reading it long after she is gone...

E4E,  my Dad passed away five years ago on October 10th. He was also 87...  Yes, always in our hearts ...

oldguy, congrats on winning all 3 games! Great video on the Military Thanksgiving! You are going to be very busy for the next several weeks! Love those sweet cat nannies... and George the difficult Bengal...

tsk, yes, Erin loves explaining his tats!

CLynn right you are that our loved ones never truly leave us.
I'am so glad you enjoyed the bluebirds yesterday.  Anymore, I really have to keep good notes and my thread in 'Other Bird Cams and Information'
helps me do that.
You're morning greetings are great today, esp the last two.
NES was probably doing some work over here as some new housing is being built and laying lines and what all.  I likely didn't use the correct term---but the breaks in service weren't long although lots of them  in succession. The longest was when we were eating dinner---by flashlight and batterycandles.  And, not a drop on the white table cloth.  ;D
That's a great Christmas window display for the The Prairie Press  in Albion, IL.
Please keep us posted once you get the kittens on how Harley gets on and all.   Thanks for the extra info for Karen

Karen I'm a gal that loves fences and privacy at that. But, if it's  8 ft high---even I'd fume over that .  CLynn's got a good suggestion with a 'mural'.
Hope you doing better w/ your vertigo today. Take care.  ;)

That brings up a couple traditions in this "home for the holidays"  clynn.
We decided a long time back to switch from a natural tree to artificial.  Seemed anti legitimate.  Did it for two sensible reasons.  First, I have a definite schedule in having the tree.  As the seasons lined up, exactly a week apart it's Christmas, New  Year, and my birthday.  Never took down tree before my birthday, 1/8.  Secondly, we got into a fun routine of taking a break (aka trip) usually covering New Years and my BD.  The iffy condition there was leaving a rather dried out fire hazard alone in the house for a week or so.  Finally made the decision for that reason if for no other.  Second reason -- As the ornament collection grew the weight on the real tree meant many bent branches and therefore caused precious ornaments to slide down off tree.  Crunch.  :'(

Come back to memories - Ton and Puff sitting in the dark soaking in the glow and quiet of the scene for hours, both of them.

GOOD MORNING BEAKERS

BAZI   Sweet pic of Zippo showing off her beautiful colors  :D   We had rain all through the night but it has stopped now.   We needed it.

LANI   Feel bad for Mike.  Awful problem to live with.  Tim had his last back injection ( for sciatica)  a yr ago but recently was suffering a lot - not with sciatica tho.  Doc said get an MRI   Results from last week  " not much change since last year".  Doesn't need an injection - is supposed to walk 30 min a day which he tells him to do every time he sees the doc but never does - sad!   What a super story about your step Dad - head chef  :o   Did you benefit from his delicious meals?

OLDGUY  Reading LANI's note reminded me I forgot to mention that Cassowary in the water with just the head up reminded me of the Loch Ness monster  LOL

PHYL  Chicken night light  ::)   365 beautiful.   You set a beautiful table.

CLYNN   Love the Naturals peace wreath

KAREN   Via CLYNN  I guess 8 ' is a go.  Love her idea of a mural!!!

Baz - Darling pic of Zippo - looking as cute as always!! :)   Good for you in continuing your walks!

Lani - Thank you so much Lani.   Poor Mike having to deal with the discomfort - hope all goes well with him having an MRI and the insurance approving the shot.

Phyl - Cute rainy gif this morning.  Thank you so much Phyl.  Hugs for you too {{Phyl}}    Like the deer & snow (had my sound turned up for it) in 365 - beautiful and serene.     Wow! Your stew and your table setting looks so inviting and delicious! :)
Lovely pic at Great Spirit Bluff Falcons.

Clynn - Cute graphics!   I didn't remember (but I should have) that our Fathers passed so close to each other and they were the same age!  {{Clynn}}   All of us who have lost parents never forget them and they remain in our hearts forever. :-*
Like the Christmas window display!    It may take time, but hopefully Harley will accept the new little kittens into your home. :) :)

Puff - We used to take the kids to choose a live Christmas tree, but now we just bring in the artificial tree for some of the reasons you list!  Precious memories of you & Ton sitting in the dark with the beauty of your Christmas tree all aglow.

Tsk - We had showers off & on last week and now this week, we are having some nice sunshine.

Hi Tig, Bl, Kb, LisaG, Karen, Lori, Og!

This morning, Hubby is leaving in about an hour to meet an old school buddy to have breakfast in nearby Moss Landing (the town is along the coast), then they will go fishing off the shore.  Hubby went and bought his fishing license for the occasion last week.

Beakers have a nice day.

Good Morning Beakers

Miserable day here...ESE winds at 10 to 20mph with 100% chance of rain for the day, and later tonight SSE winds at 20 to 30 mph with 1 to 2 inches of rain.  The temp is 49, but the winds are making it feel colder.

Lani - Big gentle hugs for ((Mike)).  Hope the back brace gives him a lil comfort till he can get in for his MRI and shot.  Hang in there!

baz - You are doing great with your walks!  Adorable pic of Zippo!  Are you getting all this rain too?

((E4E)) - HUGS!  Hope Kris has a great time on his fishing trip.

BrokenLug - Thanks for the tunes.

karen - Sorry about the vertigo and the fence situation.

Puff - Sounds like you have good help around the holidays.  :D

oldguy - Busy time for you at work with Black Friday.  Thanks for the videos.

tig - Yummy, love the Orange Chicken from Panda Express.

Phyl - Thanks for 365.  Dinner looked delicious.

clynn - Very pretty arrangement and wreath in your morning pics, and LOVE Prairie Press Christmas window display.  Great idea for karen on her side of the fence.

tsk - ((Tim))

Tsk, The back brace and heating pad seems to help Mike with discomfort... my stepfather taught me how to make gravies, sauces, biscuits, pie dough, cakes. No recipes... My MIL, Julia Child  and Martha Stewart fined tuned my cooking.  ;D

Eagles, thanks  :-*

Phyl, beautiful, serene nature video.. Beef stew and dinner looks delicious.... gorgeous sunrise from GSB... scary photo from Iceland, I feel so badly for the residents. They'll have to start all over again, rebuilding their lives/businesses. No one is going to give them $$$ for their homes, land, etc.....  :'(

Clynn, Mike is missing three discs in the lower back. He's refusing to have surgery... He thought he could wait out the pain... Step father did the cooking when he was home. He taught me how to cook/bake. Learned how to make gravy, sauces, biscuits, pie dough, cakes.... Mike loves my turkey/roast beef gravy, it's a combination of stepfather and mom-in-law. Neither wrote it down, it's by memory.... only thing he did that wasn't abusive, and I'll leave it at that.... {{{Harley}}} will receive lots of TLC when new babies are around too.... right now Milo is going through some kind of stress. So, I've added another litter box, bought him a calming collar and Feliway calming diffuser going too. Vet also said to give Milo more time-out time in my office. Scolding him will just make him angrier and defiant. In my office with door closed, he can give himself downtime away from Norman. He settles and goes to sleep. Norman's a quiet sweetie, but Milo's been bullying him around and marking areas. The calming collar should arrive today... sweet Christmas window display. I miss Salina.  :-*

Karen, a mural painted on the fence is a great idea! Lots of home owners in the Valley had their high walls painted with murals. Especially if the dining room window looked out to a brick fence 4 feet away from window. I hope you're feeling better today.

{{{Puff}}} lovely memories of Christmas past. I miss my MIL and grandparents.

{{{Lisa}}} send some of that rain over here!  ;D

Thanks for the ifo on Valdosta codes, clynn!  I am in the county and they are just a little different but the original code of the subdivision is a nother set if numbers!   The ones I like are those for the development and there is noone to enforce them!    The county requires a building permit for fences in the front, over 6 feet and in the back, over 7!  I am guessing this fence is  7 but will measure it!   A mural would be nice or a row of tall evergreens, ala kb! Cost a fortune and there are a thousand tree roots back there!   Enough about this!   Btw, I have never seen a fence in a front yard!
Earthquake is terrible!
Old Guy sure does seem to be a card shark!
My mother died at age 54 in 1959!  I have conversations with her almost every day!  Dome times we even argue!   Memories are good!
Baz!  Tell Zippo not to worry!  Lol
Backs are something!  I need s shot too and hate to get them!  Have a brace here and never think to put it on!

Have to go to Hobby Lobby for fuses for my tint tree and need to order more water!   Later

Never left the house today and I am still dizzy!  Cleared up momentarily and came back!   Think it is my fault  for not keeping head straight forward for two days!  Started by slipping down sideways in bed!  Fell  asleep sitting up!

Looking forward to morning pictures!   Seds

EAGLES  So who won the fishing tourney?  LOL  Any fish to cook on the grill?  Bet the guys had fun.  Did you go visit Mom?

PHYL   Such a rough time for those living near that pending disaster.

LISA    Is Misty still behaving herself?  No more surprises?  Very windy here too of late.

LANI   Looks like "Buddy" made quick work of that pie topping  ;D ;D  You learned a lot of cool cooking skills.  To this day I cannot make gravy and I don't do well with a rue.  Learned my basics of cooking from Mom.
Had to Google "calming collar"  Never heard of that before.  Let us know how it works.  Has Milo had these episodes before?

KAREN   Gosh, I hope you feel better tomorrow.  Falling asleep sitting might have contributed .So disabling.
