BL like Tsk, 'Thank you for a 'glimpse' into  your life and all.  Here ya on y our dad's 'stock situation'. So sorry.  Many thanks to your dad for the transistor
radios I and my brothers have had the pleasure of owning/using.

Lisa there is  'nothing fun' about this 'sort of' shopping.

Hi Karen have been thinking of you. Just overly occupied  and such.  Answering  your question, bought the same washer mfg. / model and of course in white.  Saved over $300 with Black Friday and other discounts to
Delivery time in a phone call on Tuesday night...etc.  :o

Had a chat with the Lowe's fella on the floor and he agreed it was the 'mother board' and the wires between the tub/drum had gotten soaked with the over flow. Evidently I did all the 'right things'.  :)

My other concern is how to keep my house 'dry' when they roll it down the stairway. Hope they will accommodate me with putting some flood pads on the dolly and they, as much as possible set the appliance on top of that...so sick of water.
Still dealing with water draining from inside the washer. between the 'tub' /drum and the inner appliance walls. When we got home Jim lifted the machine and I  sopped the water up from  of the drain/spill pan repeated this several times. It's still dripping. Will check before turning  tonight and again in the morning...go from there.

 SEDs to you and Piper.

Phyl - Awe, so sorry your mom regretted selling the records to a collector. :(   The main thing is, that she saved and held onto other things that were important to her.    You made a homemade pizza last night too- bet it was so good!!

Kb - I know you will find a way - we did too with chicken wire.  We spent $ to put lattice on top of our 7ft back yard fence, then we put chicken wire on top of that!  No more wild animals crossing through our back yard and no more peeing & defecating to contend with.  It was quite a bit in cost, but it was worth it.   Our problem was with animals coming over the fence, but I realize yours is with them coming under the fence!

LisaG - Jeff is right to mow over the leaves - easiest way to get rid of many leaves!

BL - Your dad was a hard working man for his family - thank you for telling some of his story.  Would love to hear more of his work with the transistor! :)

Tsk - I received  a transistor radio for Christmas when I was 12 years old.  I was so happy and felt that was the best gift I ever received other than the Schwin bicycle I received for Christmas when I was 7!!

Lani - Hope Mike had a nice birthday! ;D

Beakers have a good night.

BL, thank you for sharing the story of Frank, Ken and your family. You've had a very interesting life, memorable people, interesting travels and many special memories. I loved my transistor radio, I thank your pappy and friends!  ;D

Eagles, It's always burger time for Mike! Give him a burger, chips or fries and a Miller Lite with spicy tomato juice in a salt rimmed mug and "alls well with the world!"  Mike calls his beer "a poor man's bloody mary."  ;D .. He thanks you for his card  ;D

Tsk, "Sister Bossy"  ;D ... Mike won't use the microphone. I use the one on my iPhone everyday. I haven't tried the tv.

Kb, All's well with sharp -eyed Ollie man on the job!

SED Phyl

Lisa, it's good to leave some of the leaves for the critters and mulching. Mowing is the best and helps with mulching.  I was raking a few days ago, a squirrel was sitting high on a pine watching me. I guess I was raking over an area where it planted its winter food. After I moved on it ran over to the raked spot and dug up its nut and moved it to another spot.  ;D

Karen, how does Piper like the neighbors Christmas lights?  ;D

Oldguy, I hope you had a good night of cards!  ;D

Days of the Year:

World Orphans Day
Take care of parentless children by raising awareness of their plight, organizing a fundraiser or sponsoring a child on World Orphans Day.

World Kindness Day
Share random acts of compassion on World Kindness Day by helping strangers, giving back to the community or teaching your children the value of niceness.

I remember a couple of years ago we were driving in Nashville, it was pouring rain. I noticed a younger woman on foot with a bag of groceries. She had to been to Kroger  5 blocks away. She was soaked to the skin from head to toe.  I told Jim to move to the right hand lane a few feet ahead of her. I pushed the button to roll my window down and took the newest umbrella  I had which I had purchased as an extra 'just in case'. I called out to her, "Here this is yours. Take it!" She that she couldn't take my umbrella. I told her she could and should take it...a gift. And, that now she had one for whatever rainy day  that would come her way.  She thanked me and held it over her head. I have yet to see another more beautiful  happy face smiling back at me.  Jim asked how I felt. I said never more delighted to give something away.   ;)
