SED PhylLisa, it's good to leave some of the leaves for the critters and mulching. Mowing is the best and helps with mulching. I was raking a few days ago, a squirrel was sitting high on a pine watching me. I guess I was raking over an area where it planted its winter food. After I moved on it ran over to the raked spot and dug up its nut and moved it to another spot.
