Lani - So sad that the movers did not make the move very smooth for Aly.  It had to be pretty bad for Mike to lose his temper because he seems to go along with the flow.  Oh My Gosh - can't believe what you those movers put you through.  So sorry for the agony.   I think my husband is like Mike, in that he is so easy, mild mannered and reasonable, BUT if you push & push and step over the line - look out, because someone is going to get the wrath.  I probably would have had to physically pull my husband by the arm. . . . .  So sorry, that moving company was completely unprofessional.

So nice that you guys celebrated Shannon's birthday with her dinner favorites!  No worries that you fell asleep trying to post in the Beak.  I completely understand.  {{Lani}}

Phyl - That is so neat that you have so many of Barbie & Ken's outfits saved!  Great cam pics!

Clynn - Thank you for kind words - just didn't realize that Kelsey was not driving.  That is so nice that the Munchkins are staying with Sydney's Mom & Stepdad while they are on the cruise.  I can see how Ed would get wore out with all that energy!! Lol!   Like the hellgate cam pic. :)

LisaG - That is so sweet how the kittens want to sleep with you!  Wish there was a pic of kittens laying next to you!  ;D

Puff - You mentioned that Ton was a Sinatra person.  We love to listen to Frank's music!  Happy that your sprinkler is working well!

Karen - Hope your PT session went well.  :)

Tsk - Hope the big test went by quickly and that you got home to rest and relax and of course to eat a good meal!

Puff - That is so nice how you always post the hotels and rates for ATF. You've done that for as long as I can remember.  That is so helpful for all those planning on going!  ;D :)

Lori - Where do you find all the beautiful pics of Veggies, fruits, treats, and all?! ;D

Karen - Oh no - that is a difference between 30 eggs and 6 hard boiled! :o ::)

Tig - Hope you are enjoying and having fun catching your fissies! :)

Earlier in the week, we took flowers & a flag out to my Dad at the cemetery (memorial day) as he served in the Army in the Korean War.

Today we drove to a different cemetery for my Grandma (Dad's mother) and set out flowers for her today on her birthday of June 2nd.  She was born in 1902 & passed 1984.

Please, no one need to express anything, just saying what we did today. Thank you. :)

Beakers have a good night & sleep well.

Lani - Wow, what an ordeal!  I sure hope Aly gets her stuff from this moving company delivered.  Did she take out any insurance, just in case something happened to her stuff?

Clynn - These kitties are wild at bedtime! Hope you can see the pic I attach.  😂pull my finger!  Love the post from Jerry.  I assume he is doing good?

Karen - oh no…30 eggs….maybe some eggs salad, deviled eggs, potato salad with egg…all the possibilities!

Have a good night, everyone!

Feel so bad for DH2 - keeps perching there on the edge looking forward for her someday flight.  It has to be more fun sharing the entire experience with another eaglet.  Learning to eat, learning to fly, sharing each others snuggles.  Lonely/Alone leaves a lot to be desired.

We got another shower this evening - .01 inch - had some thunder with it - this morning a rain cell stayed over an area 20-30 miles to the north of us for 3 hours - they got 1/4 to 1/2 inch of rain - tonight an area 10 miles to the west got 1/2 inch.  it was very spoty with most areas not gettting anything.  High was 92 today.

Today the Clark family celebrated a birthday...

Eagles, Mike is by nature a quiet man, he's never said a swear word "ever"  :o and never raised his voice to our girls when reprimanding them when they were young. So it was very upsetting for me to see him upset. I couldn't believe the driver kept coming into our home uninvited while talking to his boss on the cell phone. He went into the kitchen, hall then back through the utility room into the garage glaring at the both of us.  :o .....  I'm so glad this week is over, what a nightmare. There's some points of Weds night I go over in my mind and start laughing, but it was such a scary situation. It was special reading about your Memorial Day trips to see your dad and other family members. We miss seeing and honoring Mike's family in Salina KS cemetery. It was a family ritual when Mike's mom was with us, we would take baskets of flowers to several different family plots and Mom would share memories of fun stories of the past.  :)

Lisa, yes Aly bought insurance along with a deposit. She's not heard from the movers.... awww precious babies, active little fur balls all want to sleep with you.  ;D

Phyl, thanks for nests updates... DH2 looks fierce  ;D

Clynn, yes her birthday is tomorrow, Shannon loves strawberry cheesecake, strawberry and chocolate, she loves strawberries like you. She loved the color pink when she was young. Aly was the opposite, purple was her favorite color.  ;D. ... the munchkins look great! Talon always find ways to entertain himself.... love the post "What a year this week has been" .. "Bliss" ... Mike sent an letter in an email to the company first thing Thursday morning. Mike has an engineer background, and deals with cubic feet. He helped Aly, she felt she had 400, Mike thought it was more like 500. She wrote every item down in her original agreement with the company.... regarding the bears, I'll go back and show you where Kaiya fits into Shadow's family.  :) .. nice to see a post from Jerry... Oh Iris, please accept a new mate. I follow her daily.  :-*

Kb, talk about drama! LOL! Love the look from the little dog, he didn't find it a bit amusing.  ;D ... "hurricane" LOL  ;D

Oldguy, I loved "Midnight Special" takes me back...  thanks for the memories.  :)

Puff, Like Ton I'm a Sinatra fan, and listen to his channel on Sirius... thanks for After The Fledge info....

Karen, Dewey and Aly are staying at the Best Western in Medford. They allow pets. Aly is on another list for a home rental. Talons crossed. Her new boss will help her put the things she had brought with her in the U-Haul in a storage unit tomorrow. She seems to have a very nice boss. He and his wife have been very caring and anxious to help.  :) .. YAY! Your mama finch has eggs.  ;D ... I hadn't told Aly about the broken furniture. Mike told me he screwed the legs back on the table. Now that emotions are calmer, I'll tell her tomorrow. I like Clynn's book of 365 ways to do eggs  ;D

Lori, this is the Strawberry ice box cake recipe I tried, there are lots available https://cakewhiz.com/wprm_print/30900 ... love the colorful Friday posts with all the delicious goodies!  ;D

Tsk, the ice box cake was so easy. I even took time to whip the heavy cream, instead of using cool whip.... I think I'll make a Lemon ice box cake with blueberries for Mike on the 4th! ...biopsies in a week?! What biopsies? :o I'll need to go back and read  :( .. anything is good after pancakes, I pray all goes well.  :-*

I'll catch up with Tuesday thru Thursdays posts tomorrow.
I'm finally feeling settled again.  :)

Good night!

Good Morning Beakers! It's CATURDAY!

Lani, I still can't believe how rude those guys were to you and Mike. I met a couple of the guys delivering/removing the dumpsters and they were so nice! Apologized for making noise and for being 10 minutes later that they said. I am sure Mike was very calm in the email...but those guys need a reprimand. What a year this week has been is right for you too! I love the Icebox Cake recipe, nothing diet there...and you used real whipped cream! YUM! And the lemon with blueberries sounds good too!

Lisa, I can see all 7 of those little darlings on your bed! Playtime! And there are those little mountains under the blanket and sometimes they move (your legs)! Pounce! Jerry is doing very well, he swears by crypto investing, has done quite well and is now moving to Portland to this cute house:

oldguy, it sure looked like we were going to get some rain yesterday afternoon, the wind whipped up and it turned dark but nothing. Ed said it poured for a short time when he was coming back from Erin's. Like you say, it's very spotty!

Puff, it's like when the last one hasn't fledged yet, remember E2/D1 calling and calling from the nest after the others fledged? We felt so bad for her...

karen, that falcon nest is in Cromer, in Norfolk County (same county as the Norwich Cathedral nest). The chicks at Norwich did not make it so this is the focus now.

tsk, that's a good idea on the eggs, and hard boiled eggs are a quick little snack...with salt and pepper!

Raptor Resource Project - A brief but serious storm brought down the cottonwood immediately east of N1 this afternoon. No eagles or people were injured, DH2 is still in the nest, and HM and HD have both been spotted since the storm. We're keeping an eye on things and are very glad that everybirdy stayed safe through the squall.

A thousand thousand thanks to our volunteers. We're busy banding falcons right now, so they've been running cameras, chatting, and keeping everyone updated on Facebook. We couldn't do it without them or you! Talons crossed that tomorrow is a better day! Here's a picture of DH2 looking over its realm shortly after the storm, and here's a video from Tulsa. It happened quickly! https://youtu.be/5L_pdNYR544
