PHYL   It was a beauty of a day today.  Walked the 6 blocks to Bible study this afternoon.  Easier than the last time - progress?  Jewel had the best prices on the hanging pots I like so got some of those.

EAGLES  We were a bit warmer than you today  ;)

KB   That little running owl made me smile - so cute ;D ;D   Gorgeous tulips - That 's a lot of hands and knees planting of bulbs.  The Botanic garden plants them at 3 different levels so they have tulips blooming for a longer period - clever.

KAREN  Nip the vertigo in the bud!  Is Tru Green a tree company as well or just lawns?

OK  Everyone - Lulu's DNA report is in - all 69 pages  :o :o :o   Breeds are divided into Western, Eastern, Persian and Exotic.

Lulu is 70%  Western which includes a diversity of origins - Turkey, Russa, Europe, USA. So of the cat breeds (10) included in Western; she has characteristics from 5 - 1. 32%  Broadly western     2. 18.5%  Maine Coon     3. 7.75 %  American shorthair     4. 6.5 % Russian Blue and   5. 4.6%  Siberian.
The other 30% comes from the other groups but in the 2-3% so am not including them
I have no idea what " Broadly Western" means and they don't define it.  From what I read of the other 4 varieties I'll mention what characteristics I see in her that resemble that breed:

Maine Coon - " playful, doglike, complex vocal sounds***  ( so many more that she is not like)
American Shorthair   " skilled hunter, large eyes, powerful jaws, full cheeks, not particularly a lap cat but likes to sit close***
Russian Blue  curious***  social and intelligent
Siberian - have not found anything yet - supposedly very good at sensing human emotion.

Health is good except she is high risk for periodontal disease and bad breath ( she does not have)  Report says she already has this   ??? ??? ???

What is so interesting is in all the cats mentioned from all 4 major breed groups - not once is Siamese mentioned!!!

Fascinating about Lulus dna!  She looks like a calico Americans shorthair!    Who knew!
The guy who is coming from tru green is supposedly  a tree person,  i will not bet on it!  I will look for an arborist later but none showed up on my initial searches.
All have a good night!g

Tsk - As you mention; you were warmer than our area today - we barely got up to 59-60 deg.!  Very interesting about Lulu - thank you for posting the stats  ;D :)

Karen - I hope you get a good & reliable arborist!

Kb - Yes, you got it correct about our trip!  I see you were out in your yard today - you are always busy!  We sprayed for weeds in our lawn today.  Weeds going crazy!

Phyl - Yes, Thank you!  Feeling caught up on sleep.  Did laundry yesterday and some today, so all finished with clothing from our trip!  Thank you for the Cam pics.

LisaG - Actually, baby shower stuff was probably more important! ;)   There will be another day to go to the Home Depot  ;D

Karen - So frustrating not to get your phone calls returned.  I would advise to call those people again and keep bugging if you have to.  Remember the saying "Squeeky wheel gets the grease".

Kb - Beautiful tulip lawn!!

Hi OG, Puff, Tig, Clynn, Lani, Baz, Lori  :)

Good night & sleep well.

Eagles tks. so much for checking out the purse-size Lysol spray. Will have to do that. Public restrooms ...yuk.

Karen  I was hoping you had that  cleared up.  Good luck with the lawn and tree situation

Lisa got it on the baby shower.

Tsk glad your temps are getting better;  sounds like a real nice walk.
Mike was 99.5% Maine coon  so when you talked about Lulu playing fetch and all---Bingo!
Glad you got her DNA info ( 69 pgs.  :o ) that will explain a lot.      NoSiamese .   ???
Tks for sharing.

KB lovely tulip garden on Roselawn AVe. tks

BL haven't heard from you---

I can't speak to Baz's NC adventures ..
But the weather from us to her has been pretty stellar of late.
Perhaps Baz is just out and about frolicking in the NC Springtime as Bazi's have been known to do.   :-*

Pip and I are here on the shores of the Chattooga River GA/SC and we are more than cool and watercraft alright.

-Side- Baz we really tried to dip the Pickle into the headwaters of the Chattooga River in NC, but it was just too low there.   :(

Down river jump. Overcome Improvise Adapt.

If I was a trout I'd be on the end of Phil's line, but alas the wrong fly.

We got the hatch fly dialed in now .. butter and lemon trout sizzling in a real old school iron skillet as I type.   8)

We have been eyeballing this river reach for some time.
An opportunity from a fellow expert outdoors guide (Sally) was kindly offered and accepted.

Nora posted this yesterday afternoon. Fantastic news

I haven't had a chance to see when we got #4, but great to see 4 heads up and eating!

I enlarged the attachment for easy viewing
She later adds: Ok about 1430 the shell came out.  About 1550 was a shift change/feeding.
