Today was not a good day around our household.  Last night Star didn't eat her last small meal for the night, and then worse, today she did not eat anything.  It's been so sad to see her not eat any of her favorite things; we tried a few of her favorite treats;  small bits of sausage, small bits of salami, small bits of rotiserri chicken - Nope, she would not have any of it.  She spit up clear stuff a couple of times in the back yard,  and her breathing is labored.  I cried a lot today.  I might not be on here in the morning.

Happy Earth Day Everybirdy.
I celebrated the first Earth Day 1970 on Okinawa.  I think it was a Saturday then too.  Saturday on Okinawa usually meant snorkeling on coral reefs with the widest variety of fish I've ever seen.  Here in AgLand Iowa, not so much!!   I'll be watching nature near Decorah and LaCrosse on Explore/RRP cuz the weather here is lousy and I got chores to do.  If it was nice I'd go to Decorah and down a beer (or two...) at Dixie's.
Had my second (and last! .... ) surgery for Cataracts these past few weeks, and I now can see clearly and have more color in my life.  Didn't realize how blind I'd become until after the repair work, although failing the vision test for my driver's license last November was a red flag!  .  I recommend the surgery to everybirdy if you are told you need it by your eye-doctor.  I'm pretty excited about my birding future and sight-seeing again.

eburg, at my last eye exam nearly 2 years ago the doc told me I had the beginnings of catatacts. Now I think he will tell me at this appt that I need the surgery! My vision has gotten a bit cloudy this last year, and I don't like it!

I spent most of yesterday getting ready for my new pc! I have a computer armoire, it is big, and I haven't emptied it and cleaned behind it for a few years. I have to totally empty it so we can move it.  Egad, it was bad! Anyway, it's all clean and I got rid of a lot o stuff! Now I am ready for Erin to come and set up my new pc!
