Clynn - Thank you for sharing this lovely/beautiful photo of Lisa, Bradley, and Sydney!
LisaG - Wow, no bruising and your arm feels fine - that's perfect!
Good that Jeff will get his Flu shot soon. I've been getting a Flu shot since I got a terrible flu 10 years ago. Up until that time, I had never gotten one - now I am sold on getting a shot!
Tsk - I bet Tim was happy to get some of that pizza brought in to him!
Lani - Love the blue jay interaction!! Nice message for Lilbro
Tig - Hope you didn't overdo with the Raspberries. I obviously missed something again - why the I.V.? Pretty hydrangeas!! Yummy dinner at your home tonight!
Beakers have a good night

Royal Albatross ~ Update On Fledges!! Two Of The Four chicks Still Here In View! ♥ 9.27.23
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AiRHfNEK9M
Sep 27, 2023
Ranger Sharyn Broni has reported: "There are now only 4 chicks left on the headland. I missed seeing one fledge by moments this afternoon and the one we picked up from the Aramoana salt marsh on Saturday has gone again."
We were lucky to see two of the chicks up on the track. One could be SSF Signal Station Flat chick. With new albie arrivals and returnees starting to come in, the new season will start to pick up in the next couple of weeks. Thank you for watching!

Royal Albatross ~ Female Chick Jumps Down & Lands On Manaaki's Nest! Practices Hops & Hovers 9.28.23SSF practicing on Manaaki's nest
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIX__aXCj4k&t=4s
Sep 27, 2023
We now have only 4 out of 33 chicks left to fledge on the headland ♥ This female chick jumps down from Top Flat and lands on His Royal Roundness's nest!! 😊 It may be the SSF (Signal Station Flat chick) since her nest is up on the hill. She picks some of the grass around Manaaki's nest, rests briefly and then she is up to hop and flap to the edge of the hill.
Looking out over the hill, she stretches out her wings, feeling the wind and deciding if it is a good day to fledge. She hovers with paddles up and lands to the right just out of view of the cam. She will be fledging when the winds are the most favorable and she may continue further down the hill (just like Manaaki and UQ did). We are getting down to the final four chicks left to take flight. New arrivals and returning albies are starting to come in for the new breeding season. Thank you for watching!

Royal Albatross ~ A Chick Continues Its Flight Practice & Hovering Skills! 9.28.23
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8ROTJtFPUo&t=38s
Sep 28, 2023
One of the chicks is seen working on its pre-flight & hovering skills! Enjoy watching their efforts as they make their way down the track and just below the hill. This chick may be fledging in the morning with favorable winds! It is one of the four remaining chicks left on the headland. Thank you for watching!

Good Morning Everyone. And, TGIF !
Currently 65F High 85F mostly sunny, Low 61 F clear skies.
The 'Magic Rocks' always worked for me. Kept them in a jar of water with lid. The rocks grew up to the top and then covered the surface. Freshen Up gum was the pits.
First chance I've had to read the posts/i]
CLynn
very nice photo of Talon and Sydney; awww Keebler
Lisa
Cracker Barrel always carries the 'old tyme' products. Forgot the company but they sell every single popular item manufactured from the 40's on.

that you have pain with your spinal injections. Sending good vibes your way!
I've had those injections L4 and L5 and S1. All I felt was an intense pressure. I laid on my side and told to curl tightly in a ball. Then the nurse held me in position. I was feeling better within hours. Hope it all works out for you. Box of bubble wrap is going Fed Ex.
Lani
tks for Bear Study and such a cute snap of bear, blue jay and chippymunk. Tks for Royal update too.
{{{Tig}}}
I certainly hope the phlebotomist/nurse didn't 'fish' for the vein.
Tks for the garden snaps ---nice hydrangea indeed

So glad you're getting some rain

no pre-med painkillers were used for me. Curling up spreads the vertebrae and Doc shot between them. All I ever felt was 'pressure' as the needle
was inserted---very slowly and steadily

Good Morning Beakers!
Lani,
thank you for the Alby update, just 4 chicks remaining! So sweet, that one of them visited Manaaki's nest! They will all be gone soon, in the wink of an eye. Then we will get to watch the incoming and wait for eggs! The cycle of life! Love the pic of the bear, Blue Jay and the chipmunk, that chipmunk looks like one of mine! They call them Squinnies around here. Beautiful sunset on the water goodnight picture! Oh, I went back and found the 2nd bear!
Sounds like they need to do something to make that stretch of the Beeline safer!
tig,
your hydrangeas are very pretty! I had my first IV in the 80's. One person tried, couldn't get it so another one came and no luck. They called in the head nurse. She was an older lady dressed in the starched all white with the nurse cap. She couldn't get it either. I was crying, Ed had them call my doctor. Ed explained to her what was happening, she told the nurse to have the anesthesiologist do the IV. He numbed the spot and got it with no trouble. My arm/hand was a bruised mess. I have never had a bad one since then!
tsk,
I bet Tim's eyes lit up when you brought him the pizza! Cute chipmunk pic, we have several living on our property! One has a home out front, almost every time I open the front door he goes scurrying out of sight, I hope he is making his holes/tunnels under the ground cover by the oak tree! I have seen a couple in the hosta bed!
karen,
love your memory of the fall smells in New Mexico! I have one of those adobe incense burners, one of the scents is pinion. Also Juniper. I think I'll burn some of it now! Take extra care until you get that shot!
kb,
beautiful Scottish Fold cat! I think very photogenic!
Lisa,
looks like you are getting rain right now!
Phyl,
very serene, calming Nature 365... and your morning picture too! I didn't care for the Freshen Up gum either, loved Fruit Stripe and Beeman's I think this is the company you were referring to:
