Phyl - Your sleep mask sounds cute.  Love the pic of the kitties playing their musical instruments.

kb - Glad to hear that your hydrangea finally bloomed.  I was wondering if you had cooler temps today, as I looked at temps in Decorah, and they were alot cooler than days past.

Puff - I just read that about Bob on Facebook.   :(

tsk - Your butterflies did great this year!

Lani - Feel the Magic  ;D

karen - Very humid here today too, and I am so ready for Fall.  I went and did a lil shopping earlier bought me a Fall welcome garden stake, and some Fall colored lights for my mantle. LOL, Piper on every day is dog day.

T40 - Oh my...lunch!  Thanks for the videos.

clynn - Harley is a beautiful kitty.  Wow, your coleus plants are gorgeous.

A pic of our girl today.  :D

It's Caturday!

Overcast/cloudy clearing and warming to 72 in the afternoon.

Please bear with me as I do some catching up - yesterday was a busy day that included me gone from here for a few hours to attend a celebration of life for a friend's adult child who passed away recently - it was so sad.

Phyl - Good that Jim's covid test was negative and now hopefully each day he will feel a little bit better & great that he does not have pneumonia!  Oh no, those yellow legged hornets - don't like that they prey on honey bees.

Clynn - Love those pics 'somewhere in Montana'!  Love the SWFL pic of M15 and female.  Cute Harley pics! ;D

Tsk - Hope all went well with your check up yesterday. :)   Just read your final numbers for your Monarchs this season- very amazing!!!   You really are wonderful with all you do for the Monarchs!!!

Oldguy - Love the Clark family's new additions; Judge & Jesco  ;D

Baz - Hope you & Zippo are feeling fine and hope your neighbor feels better.

Kb - Good to know that the lemon drop recommendation by BL really did help! :)   Sure hope the bear cub gets a good check up and will be just fine - so sad that he/she was not with its mother for some reason.
Love the 2018 pic of Ollie - so cute, but so alert and protective!!   Beautiful pics of your back yard.  Wish your neighbor would learn from you!

Lani - Yaaay! Happy to hear that Mike plans to retire in 2 years! ;D   I just saw in your note to Clynn that Mike returns next Friday - good for you in how you keep busy (as always) while he is away! :) :)

Lori - Love all the cute banana split pics yesterday! ;D

Tig - You are always keeping busy - but please take care in that heat/humidity.  Sure hope the Osprey that was rescued will be okay.   Wow! Just looked at all your concrete project pics!!!!  Looking so good!!!! ;D

Hi Karen  :)

Puff - Like your 'Caturday'!

LisaG - Love the darling pic of your sweet little Granddaughter!! ;D

Got to get busy and get a few things done before my mom & sis come over for a visit at 2:00 today!

Beakers have a nice afternoon  :)

TSK... Thanks for your care of the Monarch
KB... Yup... My neighbor pays someone to mow about twice a yr.   whether it needs it or not.  ::)   >:(
E4E

KB- Yea! Hydrangea bloomed

{{{Bazi/Zippo}}}

Tig- I bet your garden will look

Jim is doing just fine!  He should be,  as he's passed this on to me!
Cough, soar  scratchy throat, sinus drainage, achiness,  chills  ears feel full and itchy.  In order to appease my anger he gave me a bottle of Zicam this AM.  Not nary a cold in 3 years and then  I feel like ... He has a careless attitude about health  >:(

PUFF  Did not hear that news about Bob Barker - Nice long life and true animal advocate.

KB   You live in Eden!!  What a shame about next door.  Good that you could take advantage of the cooler day today.  I continued to pull/cut milkweed but repetitive movements are killers  for me - so "baby steps" and Aleve  LOL  We had a great breeze off the Lake today

PHYL   Thanks for the explanation on what the kitty was watching  :o :o  I remember that scene  ;) ;)   So sorry you now have Jim's cold.  almost unavoidable - You both probably should have worn masks... :-\ :-\  At least you know what you are dealing with.

Oh LISA   Sydney is so adorable.  Darling outfit and quilt?  AND you will get to see her on Monday - Great day with lots more cuddles and pics  LOL
Is Kelly's Mom still there?

TSk- It's Jim's crappy attitude about considering the health of others!  He had a mask but  rarely  had it on his face.    >:(

Thank you Beakers for your words of condolence for my friend's loss.  My friend and I have been friends since kindergarten - a lot of history!  She has been there for me in good times & sad, and I hope I do the same for her.

LisaG - I just hope your appointment doesn't get cancelled and that you have a beautiful visit.

Phyl - Oh no! Looks like you have caught what Jim has! ::)  Take care and hope you start feeling better soon.

Tsk - How is your BIL doing?

Tig - Thank you for sharing your pics! ;D

Beakers have a good evening & sleep well  :)

Howdy Beakers. I didn't get here till Caturday night!!

E4E, so sorry about your friend's child. Nice that you both still live close enough to be there for each other all these years.

PHYL, ugh... sorry you caught Jim's bad cold. Be well soon!

KAREN, Invest 93L is now Tropical Depression 10, and should be a tropical storm by Sunday - then it will be named Idalia (pronounced ee-DAL-ya). As of the 11pm update tonight, it's expected to be a hurricane by Tuesday morning, and make a gulf coast Florida landfall overnight Tuesday, or Wednesday morning, and then move inland through FL, then becoming a tropical storm again in GA, SC, and NC... and the cone also includes VA and MD, though the center track line shows it emerging over the NC Outer Banks Thursday night as a tropical storm. This track forecast and timing will change many times between now and then, of course, so stay tuned.
The current 11pm track and intensity and timing forecast:
https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at5+shtml/024528.shtml?cone#contents (scroll down the page to see the cone and track info, and the legend and definitions of abbreviations are below the map)

LISA, that is the cutest picture of sweet baby Sydney!  :-*  Heads up for future tropical storm Idalia possibly eventually making its way in your direction. See my note just above to Karen about its current forecast, which will change, but just FYI, the current cone includes parts of the Delmarva.

LANI, have you and Sadie been escorted by the coyote on your morning walks again lately? Hope not! Hope you get some help again with that firewise work you mentioned you would be doing.

TSK, that's a lot of Monarchs! You are the Monarch whisperer.  That's so wonderful. My neighbor's tests show spinal stenosis, to the tune of back surgery with rods... and she will be following a reference to Duke for further evaluation. She has a very complicated health situation. Not what she wanted to hear, but glad to finally find out what's causing the numbness of her legs and feet. Oh, I didn't know Milkweed has underground runners. I wonder if that means rhizomes. I will google it. Was it you who asked about my refrigerator shopping? (or CLYNN, maybe?). Well, anyway, I picked out my refrigerator long time ago. It's still available, but 3 dollars more. LOL. Strange. I was just waiting to get to the bottom of the food in my freezer to order it because the delivery time is very short for it. I keep buying great sale stuff for my freezer though! LOL.  ::) I know! So, I decided to wait to see if it will happen to go on a Labor Day sale, and we are almost there, so I will know soon. I have a feeling it won't now though, based on stuff I've seen online about what will/won't go on sale for that holiday.  Oh well... So I should be ordering it pretty soon.

CLYNN, wow, so glad you reported the hatchback latch issue when you did. Days to spare on your warranty!! Close call!! Crazy for that repair to be so expensive!! For sure, it better be covered. Awww, Harley... funny kitty.  :D :-* Your coleus plants loving life!

Bob Barker, rest in peace. It won't be right unless funeral home visitors have three doors to choose from to be able to visit him.  Oops, never mind... wrong TV show. Monty Hall would've needed to be behind one of three doors.  8)

G'night Beakers. Peace. SED.

Tsk, 46 monarchs this year! A very successful year for you! safe travels for the monarchs! Ole!!!

Puff, Bob Barker lived a long life, my mom and I started watching him on Truth or Consequences. He was part Sioux indian. Our daughter Shannon always tried to get a ticket on the Price is Right, and wasn't successful. He was on her bucket list of things to do.  :)

Kb, your back yard is lovely due to your hard work and patience, love the hydrangeas.

Lisa, awww, Sydney looks adorable in her sleeper jammies, sweet button nose, she looks like her dad.  ;D ... glad you will see her on Monday.  :)

{{{Eagles}}} My sincere condolences for your friend and family... time with your mom and sister will brighten your spirits.  :-*

Phyl, glad Jim is feeling better. sorry to hear you've got it now. Feel better soon.

{{{Tig}}} Your a great photographer too.  ;D

Baz, we've been tracked by coyotes every morning. Sadie can sense them ahead or behind us. We keep on alert and walk with others and their dogs too. And still enjoy our walks, it was a lovely morning today.... I'm doing the firewising myself. I had the heavy trimming done a couple months ago. I've done 10  49 gal bags of leaves/small limbs today. Another day or two and I'll be done till next month. LOL! ... Monty Hall  ;D

Good night!

Good Morning Beakers!

High today will be 80! A gorgeous day for sure, windows open! 86 tomorrow. And so it goes...

Lani, wow, 10 49 gallon bags! That is a LOT!  Take care and drink a lot! (I know you already do that but it's the Mom in us that makes us remind people... ;D)

baz, I have never heart of the Invest terminology before! Ugh, another hurricane. So your fridge went up $3! You're lucky, they usually take a bigger jump than that! Believe me, I will be talking to the manager if the car repair isn't covered. I have been getting emails to buy more extended warranty, and it's monthly. I will sign up for that if necessary and cancel it next month. Or maybe I will keep it. It's around $40 a month. It's just that I have had no issues until now, close to when the warranty expires...  ::) ::)

E4E, it's hard to lose a friend, Kelsey and I are still missing Kay, especially Kelsey. And now she keeps asking about Honey. I tell her that Honey is with Kay...

Phyl, I hope your cold is gone quickly...  The Zicam should help...sounds like you are a little peaved at Jim... ::) Cute good night kitties!  Thanks for Bob and love the cat Heavy Metal Band!

Lisa, oh my, Sydney looks so cuddly! She gets prettier every time you post a picture!  All the cute little giraffe things! I also think she is looking more like Bradley!

Erin & Sydney took the kids to Boone, IA yesterday for a ride on the Boone Scenic Valley Railroad!  We used to take Erin & Kelsey when they were kids! It is a really spectacular ride, especially in the fall! There is a dinner car, Ed and I went on our anniversary years ago! https://bsvrr.com/wp/

Good Morning Beakers....Happy Sunday!

tig - Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday.

Phyl - Your symptoms sound exactly like my Mom's.  I hope yours is just a cold.

tsk - The thing Sydney is laying on, I thought was some kind of wall hanging, but I see they are using it for a blanket/quilt.  It is really thick and soft.  I think Kelly's mom went home last Sunday.

E4E - Thanks...I am hoping my appointment doesn't get cancelled either.  I have been waiting to see her.  :D

baz - Thanks for kind words, and also for the heads-up.  I will keep my eye on that.

Lani - I think she looks alot like Bradley, but I see that she has Kelly's eye shape.  Oh my, you have been busy in the yard!  I hope you are not too sore today.

clynn - The munchkins look like they had a great time on the train ride.  Thank you for the kind words on Sydney.   :D
