Sunny - high of 70

Phyl - Love your cute morning graphic!  Car show we went to yesterday was fun!  Kris took his vw bug and won an award for 'best paint'!  Let me say, that he never expects to win, he actually just goes for the enjoyment and fun of being around all the folks - he knows no stranger!  8)

Tsk - Thanks for asking about the car show - it was fun - it was exclusive for VWs.  It was the 2nd annual 'Nor Cal Dub Affair'  It was held this year in San Juan Bautista, Ca.
I clicked on your caption of 'Try this out' and I sure was not expecting to see that!!! Amazing!!!

Clynn - Glad that Honey is still hangin' in there! ;D   Good story about your Realtor - so nice to have such a good business relationship. :)

LisaG - Sounds like everyone is as ready as can be for the blessed and happy event! ;D

Karen - You and Piper try to stay cool in that heat advisory!

Lori - Like your post this morning!  Scary time when the power went out and stuff was hitting the windows with those extremely high winds - glad you stayed safe.

Lani - Beautiful vid of the Monarch migration - thanks for posting!  I see that Karen has remembered today Peyton was taking part in a big competition today!!  Hope he has a great time and that all goes really well for him!!

Kb - You sure do work hard to keep your yard so green and beautiful!  I bet you enjoy sitting outside when its not too hot. :)

Oldguy - Wow :o  Amazing vid shows how scary and intense the situation was.

Baz - I love what your Father used to jokingly say - it makes sense too! Lol!  Oh no - sorry to hear about the airplane not working out to take your LGN & her Mom to Boston.  It is a shame that your LGN had to miss an important medical appt., but better to stay safe than sorry.  It so hard on a family when things like this happen at the airport.  Hope they have received their 2nd piece of 'lost' luggage.  Special hugs to all of them.

Beakers have a peaceful Sunday.

Thunder rumbling in the distance and the weather days thunderstorm and possible light rain for the next hour!
Not much of a storm!

Baz!  How scary to see your plane on fire!  So glad they were not on it and hope the second piece of luggage is located and returned to them!

Eagles,  y favorite car of all time was a 1965, British .racing Green, karmin Ghia!   If they produced one now i would. Buy it!  Lol, no bells or whistles on it and  very tiring to drive but what fun!   Post a picture of  Kris’s inning paint job!

Lisa, I am no surprised aa if a is still in business.  They do good work.  I wish cars werestill made with the side vent windows.   You could open them so they directed air to your face.   You had ti be going 25 mph or more for it ti make you cool!    Clynn, I do not remember ever seeing those thingy on shoes!  Never heard of angora yarn on rings.  Im my day it was adhesive tape!   I hAd an angira sweater once!   I was a shedding mess!

CLYNN  Great story about nice people in your life - they are out there for sure!!     LOLOL on the drive -in movie experience.  They might not be around a generation from now.   Wow  gorgeous photo captured by Nichole.  Lots of interpretations I expect.  ;)

LORI  Those cheesecake donuts look amazing.  Gosh I'd love one right now  LOL   Was Dad down there too?  Pretty darn scary - good to have a friend to keep you steady!  Good idea KAREN mentioned about battery operated devices in emergency.

LANI  Released 4 females today just itching to get out as we were still at Tim's son when they should have been let out  LOL  What a sweet pup  :D

KB  LOL on the ride sharing  ;D

OLDGUY   Boy oh boy - thanks for the live report of that awful storm.   Often wondered if birds react to thunder - this chickadee did.  Bellamy did a pretty good job  ;)    Hysterical Lulu getting a bath  LOLOL

BAZI   Lucky for your niece that they had the back up generator.     What a mess a the "Boston Marathon".  My first thought??  So glad that didn't happen in the air!!!  Resilient is the word.. :o      Bazi  wish I could bring to my consciousness that lovely saying in moments of challenge!!

KAREN  I remember a VA patient I had , had just been discharged from Vietnam and was his broadside in his Karmen Ghia and became paraplegic - So I have sad memories of that car.

Nice visit today with Chris Amy and Emmett.   Amy will have her sister here from Florida for her first Chemo in late Aug -= she is an oncology nurse - ( makes me feel better).  Her Mom will come up for the second and she is a retired nurse.

Tsk, so sorry about your patient!   Sounds like some good news and help for Amy from some experienced family!   It will be interesting to see how she reacts to the treatment!  Some sre sick day one and back to work on day two!   There are so many different treatments,  does she know if she will lose her hair?  Some folks I know have gotten a very short cut to ease the transion. Oh, I am so sorry for her as well!

CLynn-awesome Nichole Cornelison  photo in Pella Iowa last night.    That's some Drive-In theater set-up the Muchkins have in Erin's pickUp.  Some apt building and roof!
That was a super nice gesture from your former relator

Lisa- for some reason I was under the impression Kelly was due next week. Summer is the worst time to be PG for sure

Karen- you and Piper take care, as you know the heat indices are worse in the big cities.

Lori- cute puppy trying to deliver the newspaper; hope your grandma  and your family are doing well

Lani- Me two---see that Karen mentioned Payton's race today---I thought so but not sure ( I got Kelly's due date wrong  :(  )  Anyway, hoping he wins the race!

Kb- LOL new 'ride sharing'.

OG-thanks for the weather updates/links and QKids;      :o  those weather videos   ; 2/3 isn't bad card night

Baz- here's to the  next Boston Marathon trip for Punkin runs more smoothly; down right frightening to see your flight's engine catch fire!

Tsk- the support Amy's sisters and mom 's training is priceless. It would only add to her already strong resolve. Surviving the treatments is no small feat in it's self... Tks for update.   :( about a former patient

E4E- that is so cool Kris's vw bug winning  award for 'best paint'. I bet he's all smiles  ;)

So sorry for Everyone's 'troubles  and cares' candles lit on our home alter.

some bounce
Mowing went well but I'm sore now. We just got back from our church's annual mtg. By the end of the yr. we will have 12 locations and 50,000 attenders (including online) per week. When we joined in 2001 it was just 1 campus. Wow.
Congrats Kris!!
Oh... And I'm pretty sure it is a tree, prolly a willow. It is about 20 feet tall.

Karen - Karmin Ghia are such cute little cars! :)

Tsk - Nice that you had a good visit with Tim's son, Amy & Grandson today.  Wow, her Mom and sister are nurses - that has to be comforting somehow.

Phyl   :)

Thanks Tig  :)

Everyone have a good night.

Tsk, I wonder where the cool Eagle building is located? the oil remover is called "Oil Eater Overnight Stain Remover." It works  ;D.

Clynn, great news Kay's home sold so quickly. I'd use that realtor again too.... what a great set up for the kids to watch the movies. I bet they had a great time....  awesome pic of Iowa sky! Spooky too! ... prayers for Honey  :-*

Lisa, I understand Kelly's need to have baby now, it's hot and humid and she's feeling uncomfortable. I bet she'll enjoy having her mom near, but then everyone will be looking at her and watching her every twinges. And thinking "is it time?" ... funny description of Daisy, she's a troublemaker/Dora the Explorer! She must take after her dad, cause Misty is very laid back.

Lori the Cheesecake Stuffed Baked Doughnuts look absolutely delicious.... very glad you, Destini and Clynn/family are alright after the Friday night storms.

Karen, Baz, , Peyton's race was last night. He came in 8th out of 13. And improved his time by 4 seconds. He got caught in the middle of the pack and had a hard time moving out of it. It was a fun trip for the family. He's definitely got the racing bug and will continue to work hard on improving his time. Aly and Dewey drove back to Medford today. My sister/family returning back to Hawaii tonight.

Kb, "ride sharing" company  ;D ... gorgeous lush yard.

Oldguy, awww poor mama bird....  Bellamy did a great job! Beckett is great on the drums! Good night at cards... thank goodness, the riders were able to seek shelter during the storm. .. Maru  ;D

Baz, I pray the next Boston marathon trip goes well for Lil Punkin and her mom. Glad their luggage was returned back to them.

Eagles, congratulations to Kris for winning an award at the car show. Peyton did have a great time, met and made many new friends! Just like Kris.  ;D I hope your sister is feeling better.

Tsk, I posted the monarchs for you... sorry about your patient... glad to hear Amy will have experienced help within her family, that will be very comforting for her. Prayers for her, Chris and Emmett.

Good night!

Today...a high of  92F  partly sunny, humid at 66% and  high pollen count.
Our nighttime low 66F  with clear skies

Last Saturday we got the new deck chairs unpacked and set up. That  night we had are real 'soaker' of a rain shower.  And, Sunday morning we eagerly took our fresh brewed java out with us to enjoy the cool crisp breeze that was our gift as it blew over  still 'moist' wood and earth beneath. It was wonderful as we delighted in the monarchs flittering here and there with the bluebirds, parents and  2nd clutch teenagers assisting in the care and feeding of  the  3rd clutches hatchlings.

And...Howdy Y'all !

Congrats to Peyton on a good show.

Morning!.....whew, I slept a solid 12 hours last night...or close to it..

Tig - am wondering if because of the drought we only mow grass like from 10-14 days now, we get more sore?....somewhat de-conditioned ya know, LOL.

Lani - wonderful news.

Walking and watering this morning.....my perennials and annuals are dry, not my grass..

HI EVERYONE ON THIS MONDAY MORNING

64 heading to 82  DP  61 So a comfortable day ahead.  Had all the windows open last night for the first time in ages.

EAGLES    WOW  Good going for Kris.   ;D ;D   Imagine - out of all of the cars attending - quite an accomplishment!

PHYL  I believe Kelly's baby is due Aug 2.  Good description of your Sunday AM  What are the deck chairs like?   Great to hear all 5 of the clutch hatched  :)

LANI  Thanks for the name of the driveway oil remover - I'm passing along to Tim.  Good first experience for Peyton. ;D  He's got the racing bug now and will continue to improve his time.  Thanks for the update and glad to hear Aly was able to visit with her Aunt.   We have a Deacon at our church who will be going to Oahu in January for a marathon ( he's a regular runner) with his wife.  They want to take in a second Island while there and he has been to Hawaii before and wants to go back - I suggest Kauai as it would definitely be the isle of return for me.  He's considering.

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, Peyton did great! And now he has a real goal to strive for and he improved his timing! I bet he will try even harder now! Didn't know Aly was home! How is life going for her in Medford? That is a very long car ride!

E4E, congrats to Kris for a winning paint job, I bet he is very particular with anything to do with his restored cars! Would love to see a picture!

Phyl, Honey is still eating, she jumps up on the counter when I am getting her food ready, then she checks out Harley's dish, done on the floor. He usually leaves some of the gravy and she likes it. They they both jump up on the table waiting for their treats, just staring at me until I bring them. She ate 4 pieces, that's good for her, but I have to stand there because Harley will gobble his up and come after hers... Love the picture of the five little bluebirds! You and Jim are good landlords! It sounds wonderful, to sit on your deck and watch all your bluebirds!  They love your place! Great picture of the bear waiting... waiting...

tsk, Amy is lucky to have family in the medical field, I know we are all happy to have Jennifer (sister's partner) in our lives! She is a retired RN. It just feels reassuring to have someone who cares monitoring the doctor's orders...  How was the Monarch release? Do you wave goodbye to them when they leave?

baz, oh no, what an ordeal for Lil' Punkin and her family!  Thank goodness the fire started before they were up in the air! Wow, all that and no appointment! Made me think back to the car incident at the rest area and the uncommon things that can happen!  Hope they don't have any more incidents!

oldguy, great video of Claire giving some of the cats a bath! I figured she would have some kind of contraption to do that! Cats are cats! Good job on the cards!

Lori, glad to hear you and yours were safe from that storm! Is there much damage outside? I am glad to be the one you call on when you are in a storm!  ;) Love all the cheesecake goodies!

Lisa, are you getting excited?

Boulder County Osprey Cam - Riv Hellington - #1 showed off with at least four dives this morning! Here's a video of the four that were spotted.    https://youtu.be/KECzvOsGX0w

Good morning Beakers

I forgot to post before I left home, but I am in dealership with Jeff’s car today, tomorrow at another dealership getting my air repaired, and the Wednesday endocrinologist appointment for both of us.

Clynn- Yes, getting excited for the new arrival, just hope that we get to see the new addition to the family.  My Ex texted me yesterday and said, that Bradley told him that he could come to hospital to see the baby, but Kelly was not wanting anyone at the house for 3 weeks  :o Bradley’s dad lives in North Carolina and that is a long way to travel for seeing baby at hospital for an hour.

Tsk - You are correct on the due date for Kelly.  You have the same temps as us today.  These 80 temps are a lot better than those 100s!  How nice that Amy will have her oncology nurse sister there for her.  Glad the visit went well with the family.

Phyl - Aww great pic of the bluebirds.  Cute morning greeting.  Kelly’s due date  Wednesday the 2nd, but if no baby by next Wednesday they will induce on the 10th, per Bradley.

Kb - Great tunes!

Lani - Congrats to Peyton on his race…8th out of 13 is not bad at all!  Glad that Aly got to see your sister and family.

Tig - That is a big congregation.
