Thanks clynn for popsting my almost faded out picture of mama finch!  My vet came over this evening and    looked at the nest and she   she didn't think there were any babies yet but I thought I saw one! Will keep looking!  She came over with her 4 pound, 5 yo chihuahua, miss Olive!  What a charmer!   I sure miss a dog!
Hope all the beakers have a wonderful evening!

Oldguy, Thanks for link to Turkey Vulture cam. Willi/Annie loved TVs and would post pics or videos from a farm cam too. It might have been this one. I just checked and two little fluff balls are up and about.... a good night at cards for you  :)

Clynn, love the pic of the happy mama dog with her many pups  ;D :-* ... Dunrovin chicks are adorable. I remember the old cartoons calling TV's buzzards. I always thought they were that too, until we moved to Arizona. There isn't a day that goes by that I haven't seen a TV or two flying over. Mike has seen Black Vultures in Gila Bend in the winter ... sweet pic of Karen's finches.

Tsk, Aly's new employer, his wife and his mother are therapists too.

{{{Karen}}} sweet finches.

Currently  62 F .  High 92F sunny, Low 62F  clear.

CLynn I can just see Honey bobbing her ice cubes.
Indeed, those old cartoons we watched were so funny with the buzzard waiting in the wings acting like a vulture.

Lisa how’s Misty and family doing today? ; such terrible news about the plance crash

OG Congrats on  a good night at cards

{{{Karen}}} Tks for sharing your photo of Mama finch on her nest, good news so far; Tks CLynn for posting

So  my husband sent me this as support

What's the Difference Between Buzzards and Vultures?
By Michele Debczak

https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/640149/buzzards-vs-vultures-what-is-difference

“There are two names for the bald-headed birds of prey that feed on roadkill and circle lost characters in cartoons: vultures and buzzards.
At least that's the case in North America. In other parts of the world, buzzards and vultures are two different birds...
Buzzard has become a slang term for vultures in the United States, ...

So how did vultures became buzzards in America? You can blame early European colonists.
When these settlers first saw vultures flying high above them in the sky, they likely noticed a resemblance to the broad-winged,
dark-feathered birds of prey from back home. By the time they saw vultures up close and realized they weren't hawks,
the name had already gained traction..."

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, Anthony practicing again! It won't be long! Looks like a meeting of the pelicans (?) on the Flyway! Looks like the GSB kids are starting to wingersize! Phyl, we learn a lot when we all get stirred up!

Beaky Buzzard is an animated cartoon character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons.[4]
He is a young turkey vulture (sometimes called a "buzzard" in the United States) with black body feathers and a white tuft around his throat. His neck is long and thin, bending 90 degrees at an enormous Adam's apple. His neck and head are featherless, and his beak and feet are large and yellow or orange, depending on the cartoon. The character is depicted as simpleminded with drawled speech, a perpetual silly grin, and partially-closed eyes.

Lani, there is an old water tower in Mt. Carmel, IL, close to Mom's. We often see a whole gang of TV's lined up around the catwalk. Kind of like this picture.

oldguy, thanks for the link!  A good night, 2 wins!

Sydney posted this on FB for Erin's Birthday, they are boarding the ship today!

SWFL Eagles - Gracie Shepard - E22 flying and carrying a stick.  Can't shake that Mockingbird, though!  Photo taken by local photographer, Diane Milesio.

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

PHYL   Creative AM pic  :)  As always, thanks for the nest overviews. ;)

CLYNN  Enjoyed the perspective on the "ocean" quote.   What a cute collage Sidney did for Erin's b-day.  Hope they have good weather on the cruise..  Is that a first for both of them?
