Good Morning Beakers....It's Caturday!!!

Phyl - Thanks for the info on the Knock Out roses.  I sure wish I could have a cuppa coffee Monday.  Thanks for the cam pics.

Puff - Those are the kind of rains I like, gentle.

karen - It was kinda funny, cause Bandit was in the hallway looking at Piper, like what are you?

clynn - Wow, on all the dumpsters you all have had to have to clear out Kay's place.  You, Erin and Sydney are wonderful people for doing this!

E4E - I wonder if they are not doing the Vinca's in big pots this year.   :(  I am hanging in there, thanks for asking!

kb - Like the quirky water tower, too!

nr - Good to see you, you sound busy!

tsk - Love the pic of Lulu in her safe place from the Swiffer  ;D

oldguy - Thanks for all the videos.

At the moment, Jeff is the only one who wants to get in the playpen.  Misty wants nothing to do with it.   ;D ;D ;D  I think it reminds her of the carrier we have.

Hey there Beakers! Happy Caturday!  ;D
Morning Blschue, Lilbro, Lori, Clynn, Tsk, Lisa, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eagles, Kb, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, Jilltosa, BL, Eburg, Weasel, Ezee, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, and All!

I'm sorry I was late last night, it was a busy day. Shannon surprised us yesterday afternoon, with a visit and took us out for a belated Mother's Day dinner!
It gave us a great time to catch up with family news, and last time the girls will be together for awhile. It was a fun time! Even the pups enjoyed their toys from Aunt Shannon!  ;D

Aly and I are going to Pine for a couple jars of honey and lavender for Aly to take with her.
Then to U-Haul for packing boxes and material for her move in a week or so....

I hope everyone is well. I'll be back later to catch up on your Friday and Saturday news.

Lisa, I peeked in on fb and saw .jeff in the playpen!  Thought maybe he was in time out!   I think if the babies see the playpen and Misty gets to play explore it for awhile she might get in it!  Takes a while for them to get used. To new things!  Then again she may say. No thanks!  Funny about  Bandit and Piper.

Lani. Nice surprise for you and Mike!

some bounce

Tnx T40...  ;)

Well... I did what I was afraid I would do... I got that "old" thin skin on my arms last year that bruises and rips easily. I was cleaning out dead branches and leaves and refuse from in and around my Mom's old grape vine (including sawing)... so that our painter has better access to the trellis. My short gloves were no protection. as I ripped a nice 4 inch gash in the top of my forearm. GRR. I awakened Camper to come help with bandaging. Luckily I had already finished cleaning and rearranging the exterior "storage" area on the backside of our garage earlier. I've been cleaning and rearranging a few areas outside as I saw chipmunks this a.m.  >:(
And, luckily, I previously laid in plenty of paper tape and non-stick gauze pads. Of course I went back out and finished the job.
I'll rest and hydrate for a couple of hours and then Camper and I will cover the berry bushes with netting. So much to do before fishing week. I bought a 2 gallon bucket to replace my 5 gallon. It will be lighter and easier to manage when transporting fishes to and from the cleaning shack.
OK. Nap time.

Lani - Sounds like a wonderful belated Mother's Day dinner with your girls.  Hope you had a nice day in Pine. Awww, SP is really beautiful.

T40 -   :D  and thanks for the videos...still have a few left to watch.

karen - Misty is staying far away from playpen.  I think it reminds her too much of the carrier.

tsk - I love the look Misty is giving Jeff...like the playpen is all yours buddy!  ;D

tig - Sorry about your home.  I hope it heals quickly for you.

Well, I got around to 2 hours of cutting down my now dead climbing roses....

This is what rabbits do in an historic winter even with plastic fencing protecting them. They ruin every thing. I Hate rabbits...in a Northern winter climate.

Lost now: 3 climbing roses ( previously 5).....2 may return?...but it took 10 years of neem oiling them to protect from japanese beetles, tying them up, and protecting them, only to be destroyed in 1 nasty winter....along with the entire length of Virginia Creeper behind them.

Didn't show my ruined rhododendrum and smokebush....among others...

Mercy....I have been thinking about alternative ways to keep them out of my back yard. I have a chain link fence.

My grass looks good though!

I sat in the sun when done to de-compress.....thinking a lot about Scott this week...I come up with the word "quiet".....a quiet soul he was for me....maybe peaceful?...will meditate on it more....He didn't hesitate to be loud when needed to protect me, so don't get me wrong.

Grass ferns and low bushes look great! I have Virginia creeper climbing a tall pine.  I did not plant it so think yours may return.  Have patience!

Tig, wondered why Camper did not help!    He did the first aid stuff! hope your arm heals well!

Camper does lots around the house and yard and in service of me personally. We werk as a team. He has a condition that prevents him from spending much time bent over or looking way up... he gets dizzy.

TIG  What a day.  Ouch - maybe a long sleeved shirt next time?  Tim's skin breaks all the time.  Our bathroom cabinet looks like Walgreens bandage aisle.  ::) ::)   Fishing week - bucket to carry all the fish - Hope the fish don't know you are coming  LOL

LISA  Maybe if you put all the kitties in there at night , Misty will jump in ?? ( that's if Jeff moves out of course  LOL)

KB  The grass is gorgeous.  Well ,areas will look empty for a while.  Have you though of replacements that are no maintenance?  I have two sides of my house that are no maintenance - Ferns on the backyard side and hosta on one neighbor side.  New landscaping in the front has that low maintenance.  Ferns are beautiful and I love them.  No weeding there either - same with hosta.

OLDGUY  Here's to a big victory tonight at cards.  Penny -  ;D
