some bounce
Arm is just a bit sore, as usual with any shot. Otherwise, I feel fine so far. I see we got in just in time with the emergency ending... and at some point shots may cost? Hopefully medicare will still cover them going forward.
18 are various marigolds planted in a raised flower box beneath the windmill at the corner of the garden... which might help deter mosquitoes as I pick service and raspberries. The other 12 are wave petunias planted around 2 Dipladenia in 2 hanging pots which will join a preplanted/ purchased hanging pot of calibrachoa which will hang to the west of our seating area in the garden. I'm holding off (still deciding) on other areas like patio and sidewalk edge, for now.
I'll be getting the car serviced today and a plumber is coming to flush the water heater. If the car needs brakes I'll have my book.

Good Morning Beakers!

Debbie is back in FL, she will be back in a couple of weeks when the attorney has everything ready. I have a dumpster coming Friday for the garage/storage room, it will be done by the end of next week. Dianna and I will go there Monday and organize/box the donation items. There will still be a few big items that aren't good enough to donate, couch, lazy boy, mattresses. I didn't have Bella yesterday, I was just too tired. We will have them Friday evening while Erin and Sydney start on the garage. I will get pictures then!

Lani, I'm wondering if you are having internet problems again, missed your good night post... Hope all is well...

oldguy, scattered thunderstorms this afternoon, showers at night. No rain on the forecast for tomorrow, but some on the Weekend.  Maru definitely has a Level 10 of meltability!

tsk, Ed's father died in 1971. When his Mom passed in 2011 she still had not gotten rid of his clothes...still in the closet and the dresser.

tig, I got Shingrix #2, DTaP and the latest Covid vaccine yesterday, both arms are a bit sore, but no other problems. Good luck with the planting!

Lisa, love this picture you took at Decorah!

HI EVERYONE

53 heading to 80 and sunny

KAREN   Did you get your printer?

EAGLES    I believe Tim's bro died 15 yrs ago as he was 10 years younger than Tim who is 75.

OLDGUY   So far for us - big time rain tomorrow - over an inch they say.   Busy few days for you.    Yikes - I have some piano backround so learning that Harpejji  would be a real mind bender for me.  LOL  Very cool tho.

TIG   Calibrachoa - I'm using a lot of this year instead of all Wave petunias.  Dipladenia - had to google - never heard of that before.  Pretty.
I suspect the Covid boosters will be like the flu shot - every fall and covered.  We shall see.

CLYNN  Mattresses should go in the dumpster - No one takes them.  Do you have a " Restore" in the area for the other furniture?   Think Lani heads to the convention this AM  til Sat night.  Great pic from Sue of HM and DH2  ;D  Standing now.

PHYL  6 eggs - a first?  LANI said she was on her way to the convention this AM

Off to the Botanic Gardens this AM - gorgeous day - a real test for walking endurance..LOL

Joan Rood took this pic in Burnsville Mn...a suburb south of me...she says: "the ducks lost this competition"

I think it's Turtle Thursday so:

the big guy is 191 years old!

and finally: "We got you bro"...hum, more turtles...team work.

It's also a rainy thursday here but hoping to take a walk between some drops.

tsk, thanks, I couldn't remember when she was leaving! She was probably busy getting everything together! Hope all goes well for the convention! Kay's mattresses were trashed during the Big Cleanup, she bought new and had never slept on them, plus they have been covered the whole time with a heavy ugly bedspread that Ed got at the DAV. Of course, if we can't find someone we know who wants them into the dumpster they will go!

Phyl, no I haven't heard from her... Love those 6 beautiful blue eggs! Four little ones at GSB!  Wow! The two at Norwich Cathedral have died, they don't know why...

kb, love all the turtle things! Turtle Tursday!

Tsk  6 eggs laid is a first to our knowledge/experience the past 20+ yrs.   Tks for reminder,  convention is this weekend.

KB Wow. That's an old turtle there. And, so big. LOL  ;D   Your video, I've read turtles come to the rescue of an overturned one. It's official 'Turtle Thursday'

Clynn tks. I had forgotten when Lani was leaving.  So sad about two at Norwich Cathedral  passing.    :'(    Seems like the season for that.

Safe travels Lani

Today is party cloudy & sunny, high of 65

Phyl - I read your link on the lingering coughs - makes sense and learned something - good article!

Oldguy - As always, appreciate the links!  Have a nice work day.  While you will be having rain for 4 days, we are beginning a warm up for the next few days. :)

Tig - I bet your yard is looking beautiful!  Glad you are feeling fine from those shots - hopefully not too sore. :)

Clynn - Nice that you will have Bella on Friday - you've been working so much lately that you needed a little rest.  Looking forward to more Bella pics soon!  Glad to know you got your 2nd Shingrix shot.  Hope your soreness from having two shots goes away quickly. :)  Thanks for the Decorah pics!

Phyl - Love the 'Thursday' pic this morning!  Beautiful bluebird!  Like the Decorah pic and the Falcon pic.  :)

Tsk - ok, thank you for answering my question.  Have a wonderful time at the Botanical Gardens - do not overdo the walking! ;) :)

Kb - Love the turtle pics! ;D   Hope you & Ollie find a 'dry' time today for a walk!

Lani - Be safe at the convention and hope all goes nicely. :)

Hi LisaG, Puff, Karen, Lori, Baz, Weasel, Blschue  :)

Everyone have a nice day.

Good morning Beakers!
Morning Blschue, Lilbro, Lori, Clynn, Tsk, Lisa, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eagles, Kb, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, Jilltosa, BL, Eburg, Weasel, Ezee, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, and All!

Our convention theme is the Butterfly, and we have them everywhere  ;D

I'm sorry I didn't post last night, I was so tired after setting up our Registration/Badges room. So much last minute changes, additions, for attendees and meal tickets. My inbox/iphone text didn't stop ringing until 11pm...  My head was spinning along with many others. You set something up one way for one board member, then an executive board member wants it changed another. There was a couple of moments where I felt like a child caught in the middle of their parents. I wanted to tiptoe out of the room backwards.... All the while I'm saying "that's okay, no problem, I'll do whatever"  :-X I didn't get to my room until 10pm, I checked in the Beak a couple of times, but didn't have time to post. sorry  :(

I've been up since 4am, had breakfast and a two hour meeting, then there's another one at 9:00, then its all business until 6pm. I'm looking forward to my adult beverage soon after that.  8) ... Then tomorrow conference opens at 7am straight to 9pm. Again looking forward to adult beverage  8)

I hope you all are well, we've had a few cancellations because of covid. Darn thing must be going around again.  :(
But, I've got my mask (because of Aly) as does others... so please be well and safe.
God bless and I hope to be able to have a quiet sit down with all of you tonight.
Have a lovely day  :-*

Good Morning Beakers

Back from my pre-op appointment.

E4E - Pretty morning greeting.

clynn - My car slid into the Home Depot Garden Center while I was out this morning, and didn't have the big pots of Vinca's I usually buy.  They said, to check back next week.  What about a homeless shelter for Kay's mattress?  Thanks for posting my Decorah pic!  :-*  Wow, you were vaxxed out yesterday.  I hope your arm is ok today!

kb - Wow, 191 years old!

tsk - Enjoy the gardens, and hope there is a place for you to sit if you need to take a break from walking.

Phyl - Love the pic of your blue eggs!

tig - Hope your arm is feeling ok today.

Lani - After reading your post, I can see why you were too tired to post.  Yep, I think the Covid is going around again.  My brother has it, hoping Mama and the rest of them don't get it!  Have a great time at your convention!
