Good Morning Beakers!

Whew, yesterday was a long day! Some guys came with a dumpster truck and took out all the bags of trash and some pieces of furniture that needed to go. They were about ready to leave when Debbie asked if they would take the piano...yes, for $225 and the XL lift chair, yes for $65. Total $716 for that haul. The place is looking better! Debbie goes back to FL today. Dianna and I will organize the Donate items, and would you believe, Dianna's good friend Straub loves to sell stuff on FB Marketplace. Debbie told him he could sell anything that's not marked for her to keep and keep all the $$$ for himself. We have the dumpster ordered for the garage/storage room, which Erin will take care of next weekend. There is just so much to do when clearing a house, I am sure oldguy knows exactly what I mean!! Debbie will be back in a couple of weeks.

Lani, so glad to hear that Aly is feeling better! Sometimes things just happen at the worst times...  Dang, I hope she finds a place soon!

oldguy, went to the Tulip Festival last year for the 4th time, what a massive event! You park in various places they have outside of the town proper and tractor pulled trollys take you to the action, I know you already know this...just describing for others! We always get Dutch Letters and Jerky. The parade is Dutch, Dutch Dutch!  And fun to see!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSAfocinprU

tsk, you are doing good with your walking!

karen, we had Trugreen for a few years. They killed the grass on one area of my lawn and I argued and argued with them, they finally fixed it. But like you say, they kept calling, trying to get me to purchase more and more services. They even aerated my lawn without my permission, which I refused to pay for. 'Let me think about it' does NOT translate to 'Yes, go ahead and do it'. Especially when the charge was $400! Hope you get the vertigo nipped!

Phyl, that baboon is sleeping on a rather thin branch, I had to go back and now I see the baby!  The babies at GSB! So tiny and white! Looks like 3, I must have missed the last one! Just read your post, now there are 4! Sweet picture of DH2! Lovely sunrise on the Flyway, and your bluebirds! Looks like the turtle is ready to catch some sun!

kb, tulips are pretty, looks like a street in Pella!

Lisa, a shower is a big deal! I know they invite men now, but it used to be a strictly girl thing!

E4E, sounds like you are settling down after your trip...it takes a bit to get back to normal...even if it's a new normal...

Wild Heart Ranch - Good Morning Everyone!!! Not a lot out there cuter than this little one. 💚💚 -Greg

Lisa's Nursery, they are almost ready to escape the nursery! Sorry Lisa, I can't help it, they are so cute!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE

48  heading to 78 and sunny  :)

Thought you might enjoy my azalea this AM. Behind it  is a floppy false cyprus

PHYL   I thought for sure there was some Siamese in Lulu... ::)  If it weren't for you I'd never know what a baby bluebird looked like.  thanks  Cute little turtle catching some rays

OLDGUY   I've heard of the Pella tulip festival.  I've only been to the one in Holland, Michigan   300,000 bulbs  :o  Love taking pics of tulips.

BL   Sounds like a really fun adventure!  esp the buttered/lemon trout YUM

LANI   Good luck and breathe  :-*  Tough apt hunting for Aly but glad she is on the mend

CLYNN    The last thing to go in my Mom's house was the organ - could not find ANYONE or organization to take it.  Finally called a "junk" guy and it had to be taken apart to get it out of the house.  Told him he could keep $ for what ever he could sell from it.   Pella looks like a fun event.   We also tried TruGreen and cancelled them as the mowing ruined our lawn.   This was way back.  Tim takes total care of the lawn now.

Bearstudy -  Spanky, Woodchuck, Pine Warbler, and Fencing - UPDATE May 8, 2023

https://www.bearstudy.org/updates/daily-updates/4754-spanky-woodchuck-pine-warbler-and-fencing-update-may-8-2023.html

It was nice to see Spanky looking good with his light muzzle that had me fooled thinking he was Lily when I first saw him in the porch den a couple years back.
Spanky is Shadow's last cub (Shadow is 36 years old and matriarch of this black bear family)

Hmm, this looks like what I might just do today, sans sheep of course!...

Sunny and 82 sounds perfect to sit on my deck and just listen to music for a few hours...in other words, do nothing.

tsk - beautiful azalea.....my rhododendrum was pretty much destroyed last winter...so much ice/and snow on top plus a few bunny cuts and I don't know if she'll recover...certainly not this year.....just one of many destroyed.

Lani - oh geesh, the market sounds awfully tight up there....I sure hope she can find something that she likes.

Good Morning Beakers

kb - Wow, the tulips on Roselawn Ave. are beautiful!

tsk - Very interesting on Lulu's DNA.  Your azalea is beautiful.  I tried growing some here years ago, and they just never took.  I had them in my yard when I lived in Mississippi.  Loved them!

E4E - I agree the baby shower stuff is important, but I like to get my flowers for front garden.  I am going out for my Pre-op appointment tomorrow, so will stop by Home Depot, if I don't get sidetracked again.  ;D

Phyl - Beautiful pics from the cams. Baby shower is going to be at a park.  Bradley and Kelly are anything but traditional and like nothing fancy.  I am ordering sandwich platters, but I will be making a vegetable tray, fruit tray, cheese tray, and my shrimp dip.

oldguy - Beautiful pics of the tulips.

BL - Enjoy your trip on the river in GA/SC!

Lani - All of the fur babies are getting big.  Here is a pic Jeff took last night after weighing them all.

clynn - Yes, a co-ed shower is what the are having.  Aww, thanks for sharing Lisa's Nursery  ;D
Lil cutie at Wild Heart Ranch.  Love those lil birdhouses.

kb - Sounds like you have the perfect day planned!

overcast / cloudy this morning - warming later to 64

Hi Tig, Puff, Karen, Baz  :)

Phyl - Nice Flamingo pic.  Nice temp for you today!  Thanks for posting Nora's. :)  Cute bluebirds!  Decorah little E's  ;D  Thank you!  Love the Turtle  ;D

OG - Such beautiful colors of Tulips in IA - thank you for link - loved the vid!

Lani - Wishing all the best for your trip (try not to overdo).  Glad to hear Aly is feeling a bit better.  Hope she finds a place that will be right for her - I can only imagine how hard it would be - just keep persisting and hopefully she will get lucky in getting the right place. {Aly}

Clynn - All of you are getting LOTS cleared out in a short amount of time - thank goodness for all of you banding together. Take care and hope you are not getting too sore from everything you are doing!
Yes, you are right that it takes time to settle into a new 'normal'.  I have removed / changed some things in my house.

Tsk - Beautiful Azalea - thanks for the pic.

Kb - Gorgeous Australian cattle pup!

LisaG - You are a busy girl - always taking care of things! :)  Everything you are doing for the Baby shower will be wonderful and delicious!!   I too, need to get over to either Lowes or the Home Depot for annual flowers!   Wishing you all the best at your pre-op appt tomorrow.   Tell Jeff thank you for the darling photo of kittys & Mama!

Beakers have a nice day  :)

Clynn Kay stories scare me.  I'm getting nowhere with thinning/eliminating Ton's stuff.  Things always get in the way; over a year now. :-\  I've been getting nowhere with getting outside list down either. Might be put on hold soon, too.  Que sera sera.

Lisa Really thank you for the pics, with the kitties and the WHR.  It is an automatic smile from ear to ear.  Good you changed the background.

TruGreen - Have used it since @ 1975.  I always bragged I had the best lawn in Darien.  Last two years or so things have changed. First, they made me give up my lawn mower to some iffy non-grass lovers.  I also got a time-limit of 2 hours if going to the yard.  My compromise?  Work 2 hours, take a break, do another 2 hours, take drugs!  One good change:  my primary doc said I can take 2 extra strength Bayer 3x a day.  Excedrin types do nada for me, garbage.  I called cardio doc who said he saw my chart changes.  He OK'd but wants to do another blood test at 3 months just to see any changes.  Bayer always were helpful for me.  Arthritis diagnosed when in my 30's.  Helps me!

I've divided outside to three challenges: front/sides of house, back/patio areas, veggie garden.  Let me see how far I can smartly get to before my next week deadline.

Wishing all of us "driven" fools good success on our chores and limits!

Later. . .

P
