Good Morning Beakers!

56 here now, high 68. Cloudy and possible showers!

Lani, I so agree with you about M15, he did a wonderful job of raising those babies!!  Also, YAY for Gorilla Glue and Tape! Sweet sleeping leopard...

Phyl, thanks for Amy's Blog, looks like we may have a hatch at GSB tomorrow! Yes, so sad about D36, wish they wouldn't eat road kill... Love the Flyway view...pelicans? Ihave never heard of the Flower Moon! I wonder if there will be any more goose eggs in N2B? They keep checking it out! DH2 is getting pin feathers! Love The Hatchery's on the Y! The cottonwood is starting to bud!

The snow is beginning to fall in my front yard, from my beautiful Crabapple tree!

Norwich Peregrines - Barbie Cooper - And then there were two ...Dad was allowed to have a look this time!

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

One of my favorite mammals.

Happy Friday all.

I miss seeing eagles4 posts...I hope she is having a great time.

Saw Mr. or Mrs. Opossum on camera last night around 3am walk up my driveway and turn on my motion detector light....meandered around in the garden in front and left.
Reminds me I read this recently which dispels the myth they are voracious tick eaters...
From Field and Stream study:
https://www.fieldandstream.com/conservation/possums-dont-eat-ticks/?fbclid=IwAR2O6k8mxyFV-FAkH2VqL6qpxrr8TVP875PcTI9U4SPFyUK92P1dXTcBZig

Have had very busy days...like tsk I am cleaning windows inside and out, but only 3 or so a day...I have 10 to go...dropped fertilizer yesterday and painted and fixed outdoor things and more.

So Ollie man must have wanted even more of my attention as after gardening I was missing my favorite garden glove which is not an infrequent occurrence....
So last night while watching tv with Chris he went out back and retrieved it, Whew, and dropped it and then commenced the zoomies....so proud of himself!..and I was happy too.

Another busy day, Later and have a great Friday.

GOOD MORNING

54 sunny and heading to 78  ;D

PHYL   May is a busy month for the falcons.   Nice gathering of the white pelicans on the flyway  ;D  Those baby falcons are so white.

LANI   I couldn't agree more about finding out how to do things on Youtube.   Beauty of a good night cat :o

KB   Very interesting article on tics and possums.  Such reputable organizations reporting what now appears to be an untruth  Ollie finding your glove  LOL

kb, those otters are so fun to watch and look so cute!  Kudos to Ollie for fetching your missing glove, he must like the yard tidy and noticed it right away! The zoomies! When our cats have zoomies we say they ate chili peppers! I found another article on the opossums that is a bit different than the one you posted.  https://www.caryinstitute.org/news-insights/media-coverage/opossums-killers-ticks

Phyl, have a good Dr. appt!

tsk, have you noticed that the English call them Peregrines and we call them Falcons? Janet (from England) sent me this article this morning, the English knitters have been decorating all of the postbox toppers with knitted renditions of the Royals and the Coronation!  https://www.prima.co.uk/craft/crochet/a43666593/coronation-postbox-toppers/

LOL, Ollie is the one who stole my glove in the first place!...I was in the front yard with only one glove on....and then 8 hours later did he decide to go out back and bring it back to me....hence, the zoomies and pride.

CLYNN       Like many things " who do you believe?" re: possums.  I did not notice the English use of Peregrine vs falcon.  Those are some dedicated knitters. :o

LISA   Lovely summer bouquet.  ;D   Are you getting more sleep?  Are the other kitties opening their eyes now?

Windows done!!  Resting now.

Royal Albatross update - 5/1 13:01
Weigh day (instead of Tuesday)

SP chick is now the heaviest chick in the colony.  ;D
At 101 days old chick weighed 10 kgs this morning, thanks to his 2 breakfasts.
Also, Mum L was in at 16:23 this afternoon.

Royal Albatross - 5/1
Early morning wingercizes, and a parent arrives!  :-*
It is likely to be chick's Mum, L. Enjoy your breakfast SP chick.
Then a couple of hours later, Dad arrives with breakfast number 2, video below.

Royal Albatross - 5/3
How is this for a perfect landing in windy conditions?  ;D
GLY arrived in grand fashion, to feed his #RoyalCam chick, yesterday.
Includes a brief close up GLY and SP chick, later on in Dad's visit.

Royal Albatross - 5/4 9:03
Don't forget to paddle scratch.
Damp/wet chicks can attract dirt & nest material, just like SP chick did this morning.

Also check out the highlight videos. Here is the latest one of GLY arriving in that 30-knot northerly.
