GOOD MORNING EVERYONE

45 heading to 70's late afternoon.  Partly sunny - rain moving in tomorrow.

LISA  I had to Google "basal insulin" - Never heard of that before. Interesting.

EAGLES   Thanks for sharing about your vacation.  Sounds like a wonderful time and what a generous retirement gift from Kris's boss.  That is a really early flight  LOL  :o :o  Star will be in good hands but I know what it is like to worry.  :-*   Like BAZI said you will be very close to the AEF.  Would make a nice stop.

BAZI   Thanks for the great description of your shingles location.  So lucky to have a complete recovery and is so interesting how symptoms vary  ( taco sauce  LOL)   My SIL  Barb was similar to those in your family who didn't know what the rash was.  Hers was down the front of her thigh.  Went away eventually.

BL   Canoe across water with a fishing pole in hand is good anywhere  ;) ;)

LANI   Sweet goodnight pups nose to nose  :)

PHYL   Perfect Good morning pic. :)  Good stuff in Amy's blog.  :D

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, such a wonderful batch of pictures in Amy's Blog! Our new couple seems to be getting the hang of caring for the little one very well! I hope we have many years with them! Those grackles are everywhere right now, along with the red-winged blackbirds. They kind of overtake the bird feeders! Mother Goose and her 6 eggs! and a beautiful sunrise at the penguin colony... Yes, a new desktop! When I ordered it, it was to be delivered 4/27/or28. Just got an email this morning, it will be delivered tomorrow! Turns out it is only coming from Kansas City (183 miles from here). Yay!

Lani, the sounds at Dunorvin are fantastic!  I have opened the Merlin app on my phone to listen and the number of birds it identifies is astounding!
I'll do it again in a couple of weeks when all the downstairs birds are busy!

Erin called me yesterday just crying uncontrollably. He took Gunner (one of his Boxers) in to have the vet check him because he wasn't eating, acting fine otherwise. He has cancer, evidently it's all over his body, he is only about 6 years old. So I was crying worse than he was...Anyway, he has pain meds and Erin got him some soft food that he is eating, so that's some comfort...The vet says he has 2-4 months, maybe 6, depending on the cancer. Gunner is the one on the right, he is a fawn color, Rome is the brindle color. They are both big babies...

baz, my sister had a medium bad case of shingles years ago, I don't want any part of that! No vaccine back then. The chickenpox vaccine came out in 1995, after Erin and Kelsey both had it. One day shingles will be as uncommon as mumps or polio.  As long as people still get the vaccines.

Lisa, I think there are some vets who are just not cat lovers. And that is not right! I think the owner of the office would not be happy to know how that guy made you feel. Years ago when my Siamese Max was being diagnosed with diabetes, the vet even took him home with him on Sunday when they were closed so he could keep an eye on him. That man really loved all pets, I was sad when he retired.

tsk, finally a day with Tim at home! All will be well!

BL, I have that album! Bustin' Out Pure Prairiw League!

Erin sent me a pic of Bella, do the boots make the outfit?

Good Morning Beakers

Morning pic of Ms Misty.  She says, I am ready to have these kittens!   ;D

Phyl - I have had some docs with no bedside manners, and thought...how do you even have any patients at all?  Great pics from the cams this morning.  Love the Grackles in the basement apartment of DNN!

E4E - I do hope you enjoy your trip to TN.  I have visited both places, and enjoyed it.  I know it's easy to say, but try not to worry.

baz - I had a former co-worker that had the shingles more than once, too.

BrokenLug - Hope you had a nice trip on the Delaware.

Lani - Sweet good night pups! I hope AC does, too.

tsk - Your weather today, sounds like mine....48 with a high of 70.  I did turn on the heat this morning to warm up the house, but it is off now and windows open.

clynn - So sorry to hear about Gunner!  Big hugs to ((Erin & family)) .  I agree with what you said, some vets might not be cat lovers.  The boots are perfect!  Cute pic of Bella.

((tig)) - So sorry to hear of your friend's passing!

Puff - Morning  :)

Lani - Yes, I am hoping my son can still make it over here to care for Star while we are away on our trip.

Phyl - Like the cam pics - beautiful pic of Stony Point Penguin Colony.

Baz - Sent you a pm this morning!

Tsk - Hope Tim is recuping nicely and that you have gotten some good rest too!

Clynn - So sad to hear about Erin's boxer Gunner. He looks like such a sweetheart - good picture of both Boxers.   Love the pic of Bella and those boots are too cute!! ;D

Tig - Sorry to hear that your neighbor who you grew up with passed away. {{Tig}}

Hi Puff, Kb, OG  :)

LisaG - Wow, that pic says "I am ready to have these kittens"!!

We have to get ready and go out of town for a funeral/celebration of life - going to be about a 1 1/2 hr drive.  This is a relative on my hubby's side of the family.

Beakers have a nice day  :)

Lisa, Misty looks like she has a 6-kitten bulge! Or ate a small watermelon! Beautiful morning bouquet! Love the wide open eye look, like she is wondering how she lost her slim body!

E4E, I bet we all know how you feel about leaving Star in someone else's care... your son is the best caregiver, he knows how much she means to you...that is a good thing!

Shawnee Hills Lavender (FB page, located in the Shawnee Natiional Forest Hills of very Southern Illinois!) Check out their FB page, lots of neat stuff...one of those store I could spend hours in.

CLYNN  Great news on your PC arriving early.  Good news is always appreciated  LOL    I never thought to open my Merlin app when listening on line.  Oh no - Such a sad event for Erin and his family. Such a heartbreak  :'( :'(   That will be a first for the kids I expect.  HUGS for them all.   That pic of Bella is the best - It needs to be framed!!!  Love the boots  ;D    Washington Island in Door county has two huge lavender fields .  Now they ferry the products made from it over to the "mainland" where several stores now sell everything lavender.   What a tender shot from Michelle.  :-*

TIG  It's awful to find out someone you actually know has passed.  Found out 2 days ago that a gal in our shawl ministry and who is VERY active at church and my town community was dg  with stage 4 pancreatic cancer - just like that.  I couldn't believe it.

LISA  Misty's eyes are like " get these kittens out of me"  LOL

KB  Looked like mama camel wanted to give him a kiss.  His shoes weren't the best for that rescue.  My feet would have been out of them in a flash  LOL

EAGLES   Tim said he had a great nights sleep last night and is ready to conquer the world today.  Is already out running errands  ::) ::)

tsk - I do believe that is what Misty is saying.  ;D

kb - AC said, the report from 2nd vet was very vague.  Basically, he just mentioned in report the same thing he said to me, and didn't include any ultrasound pics like the first vet did.  They were calling back today, to see if they could get some pics.

clynn - LOL, she does look like she has a watermelon belly.  I have found some pretty flowers on Pinterest like that.   :)  Great pic of the Decorah family.

E4E - Safe trip, and so sorry about the family member on Kris' side.

boy, Lisa....I'd be calling the Vet office you used....and maybe the original vet to find out what the heck?
I'd be pissed myself....
Sometimes it takes getting angry to get proper results..
