Animal Control texted this morning to see if Misty had her kittens on Friday.  I responded back, with NO kittens!  They were like, oh my.  If she doesn't have them by Wednesday I need to let them know.  I'm guessing I will have to bring her up there again for them to look at.  Misty isn't worried about having kittens, she is laying on the floor enjoying this Spring weather with the windows open.  ;D

LOL! Well then, if she's not worried  ;D

Lani, I am sure we are all way more worried about Misty's kittens than she is! LOLOL!  So good to see Iris, I love the video of her swooping in on the 8th... and she immediately starts working on the nest after looking around for a bit. Please, no Louis this year!!!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbabyavM1qs   The SP chick looks like a big cotton ball with a beak! Oh, I did bring home some hostas! Got 2 at the greenhouse and 3 buckets of green/white ones from Mom's neighbor Janet, across the street!

Lisa, no little mews is ... no news...

baz, love the picture of Lil' Punkin and Lil' Bro chillin! Thanks for the info on "Secrets of the Elephants'. I bet it will be good!

tsk, how is Tim doing today? Hope he got a nap! Yes, a new computer. There is a short or a failed part, it won't start. It's at least 12 years old so I guess its time. It won't be here until the 27th so I am on the laptop until then. And I am slow on the laptop for some reason...

kb, too soon it will be hot enough!

tig, thanks for the link to the Mississippi information, very interesting!

karen, how's it going?  I saw that piece about Murphy the eagle! So sweet, and I loved this picture:

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/murphy-eagle-rock-chick-eaglet_n_642daa6be4b0859acb91e120

The snow has all melted on the Decorah nest! I am thinking this may be HD, a lot of eyeliner!

KB   That menu is awesome.  I'd be ordering from there way too often  LOL

OLDGUY   Hard on nurseries and big box stores to have to move stuff in - time consuming.  don't think Chris would mind that decadent dessert  :o

LANI   Great pic of SP Cutie

BAZI  I already ear marked the elephants special.  Can't wait.

LISA   They had to have gotten the due date wrong to start with.

Long day.  Angiogram went well.  Doc revised a vessel he did in 2019 with a newer type stent and all 4 stents and by-pass graft looking good.  Heart looks healthy with no damage.   However he will now be on Eliquis for the rest of his life to prevent stroke.  Also for a year or less on another blood thinner Plavix.  This is when I'm washing blood out of everything but have it down and a small price to pay.  Home tomorrow AM I think

Thank you all for your prayers once again.

{{{Tsk/Tim}}}  A long  and stressful day for sure.
Good news all in all. Especially condition of Tim's heart.  New stents where needed and by-pass graft in good shape.  ;)  Jim takes Eliquis--I think everyone who's prescribed this  , it's for lifetime. So very glad and happy at outcome. Too bad about the blood stains. But as you said small price.  Hope you both can rest tonight and be more at ease.   :)

Good Morning Beakers!

tig, I would comment on your post but I do not know anything about that of which you speak! LOLOL0!  But you are thrilled and that is eough!

Lani, dang that Louis! I wonder if his partner has returned yet...  My Mom is on Eliquis too, when she was in the hospital for her back surgery they discovered she had AFib.

tsk, I bet Tim will be gllad to be home, and I bet he and Lulu miss each other!

Lisa, I agree with tsk, the epected due date for Misty must be a mis-calculation! Pins and needles!

kb, awww, that dog sure loves his human...  great capture of the snowy!

Phyl, nice sunny good morning! 36 here, high 68 today. Beautiful sunrise!

Sue Bruhling - (Update) Eaglet 23-126/Rocky sure is doing great and all so Adorable ❤ Love ❤

Wild Bird Sanctuary
Eaglet 23-126 is doing quite fine, as you can see here. Still begging for more food after gobbling down their morning meal!
I’d like to address a few questions and comments made on this morning’s post.
Murphy and eaglet’s enclosure is a good size, with predator-proof walls and ceiling. Rain CAN get into the enclosure, because we want any our birds to be able to experience sunshine, rain, and any other weather they would normally experience in the wild. Over portions of the roof and walls are heavy-duty tarps, and/or solid wooden roof/wall areas for shelter and lees. Yesterday’s weather was just incredibly intense with a tornado right in our town. Also, Murphy is just learning how to be a dad, so he isn’t perfect yet. He has lots to learn!
Murphy was built an eagle-type nest on the ground (he can’t fly), but he took it apart! Then of course, the eaglet wandered out of it. Next step will be to screw some of those sticks into place!
We kinda feel like goalies a lot when working with birds like this. Every bird is different, and behaves differently to situations. It’s our job to react, and make changes as necessary. You just can’t predict everything!
We appreciate all the support from our existing followers and new followers! Running this Sanctuary is not easy, and we struggle most days to make ends meet - making sure 200+ beaks are fed everyday, making sure our talented and worthy staff is paid (not nearly enough), and continuing with our complicated mission! Meanwhile, we receive no financial support from federal, state, or county government or taxes. Your donations do it all!
So thank you for every penny you send us. In return, we promise to spoil our birds, work hard every day to save birds here and around the world, and continue to be completely transparent about it all. We appreciate you! Warm regards, Dawn Griffard - WBS CEO  See more about us here: www.worldbirdsanctuary.org
