I actually don't blame the tree service...it's tight quarters and I don't think I should be responsible for picking it up in the spring....cleaning fence, picking up branches in garden etc...but I will be the only one.

Stump down now.

I just detest peeps who say it will be alright.. :)

Aarrgghh...
So .. do they come back in Spring to grind the stump roots?
My service has a good team that would clean the twigs up... But that crew is working for the govt. today. Sigh.

No stump grinding per the city tig...it's too close to my forsythia and arbors....so, I agree...that would injure them...
This was a subcontractor from the city as the city acknowledged not in their wheelhouse kind of job...like I said, given the circumstances they did a good job...I'll just have a lot of work!!!!! in the spring and the stump will stay.....don't know until spring what I'll do with it. It's my private property garden ya know.
I do know I'll have a lot more sun on my house in season to come.

Clynn adult ballet is mostly for a really fun way to exercise and develop amazing balance. To have a  professional 'meant to be'  in dance, one must start training  between 1 and 17 yrs of age, female/male... make it a way of life.
Here's a list of all the birds we feed and at one time or another  shelter (no particular order)  Bluebirds (3 pairs), cardinals(5 pairs), blue jays (2 pairs), titmice(2 pairs), house wrens(2 pairs),  Red shouldered, Coopers  and red tailed hawks,  barred owls, barn owls( all 1 pair each), an unkindness of Ravens,  a murder of crows, our state bird , Mockingbird(2 pairs), robins, starlings; the odd  flock of swallows and  pair of blackheaded grosbeak and eagle: Indigo buntings, red bellied woodpecker (2 pair ) Hairy woodpecker (1 pair) and the ever present flock of vultures; and the wandering 'rafters' of wild turkeys.
LOL the Valentine candy aisle.

Puff  Ouch! oral surgery isn't a picnic... hope you're happy with the end result.{{}}

Tsk I never took dance instruction as a teen; there was a lady whose daughter was an underclassman that taught  dance--jazz/ballet privately in their home. She had worked with the famous Pat Swayze  of Hollywood   (mother of Patrick, actor).
Tasty banner greeting this AM

KB great tiger this AM, describes you today.   Decribes me in same situation for that matter. So glad they workers did a good job of tree / stump and all. You always do so much. I hope this doesn't negatively impact your shrubbery, too much. Tks for the photos---so much snow.

Lani cute valentine greeting this AM

Oldguy tks for update from Walter Santi relieved to know he's had no damage.  Thanks for the music links. You're slowly warming.

Baz yeah. Heard and saw footage  about Turkey/Syria earthquake this AM. Heart breaking and much grief for all.    :'( :'( :'(  Sending prayers

Earlier, At 1:54:55 Audacity is upended by the wind and clumsily tries to regain her footing, crushing the egg. From then on she is eating the destroyed egg at various times.  But...

Looky, looky---looky!
An egglet.
This nest needs prayers.
You are loved Audacity and Jak  :-*

kb - Glad to hear all went smoothly with the tree removal, minus the twig.  Maybe you can make something like this with your stump and make it pretty.  :D

After I did some chatting with Audacity she agreed to give me a much better view of her  new  egglet.
She explained that the wind blew up her pantaloons and Oooops!  She all but cried talking about it.  :-* :-* :-*
