Clynn posted this on 12/14/23 ..

Lani, I remember that Kona is not very sociable, but you have the issue solved! I am so glad Sadie and Dewey will have a good bit of time together! Does Shannon stay the night on Christmas Eve, or does she drive from the valley on Christmas Day? We will leave for Mom's on the 22nd and return on the 27th.

Safe travels home Clynn and family.
(((Clynn))) I know the beak room has been praying and thinking of you in your very missed absence.  :-*

We are on our way home now, heading  north to Champaign, then past Bloomington to Peoria, Galesburg to I-80 and Iowa. Iowa City, then Des Moines. Will  be home around 5:00. Thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts!

Still at the dealership waiting for the tires and oil change, but thought I would pop in.

tsk - I have 59,959 miles on my tires.  Jeff drove it to work one rainy morning, and he said, you need new tires, as they are not gripping the road too good.  The service adviser did tell me last time I was here in July, that I would need new tires at next oil change.  My next oil change is due at 60,300...close enough.

kb - Love that pic.

Phyl - Yes, an all day thing.  I have been here for a few hours already.  Laptop design...lol  Thanks for the 365.

karen - To add to my comment to tsk, Jeff wanted me to get the new tires, as I will be taking a week long trip to Mama's near the end of January.  She is having surgery, and will be in hospital for a few days, and I want to be with her while she is there.

((clynn)) - Have a safe trip home.

LGK gets up to do some preening and we get to see a glimpse of the egg as he touches it with his bill. ♥ At this stage of the incubation, we don't get many views of the albatross egg because of the parent sitting on it for long periods of time. LGK sits back down and we have nice closeups of him looking very content upon his egg! Thank you for watching!

Happy Day, Beakers!  :)

(((CLYNN))) Smooth travels home today! I saw that Des Moines is expecting light snow showers today, but not any significant accumulation, except maybe a dusting on grass and such. Hope the weather is good to you along your roads home.  :)

Lani, congrats to the Jayhawks! What a game!!! I watched till midway through the 3rd quarter, and then I had to hit the sack, since it was after midnight my time by then. But I recorded it and the show after it so I could see the ending this morning. WOW!!! I agree with you - the refereeing was  :o :o  LOL. Glad Mike was comfortable at the game. They had GREAT seats!! I looked for them in the crowd!  ;D  I did!!   :D  I hope Mike will continue to get good relief from his shot.  Thanks for the report on the RAs. They are just sooo sweet to me!!  :-* :-* :-*

TSK, what's that about Lisa's nose??  Did I miss something happening to her nose? Glad to hear Tom's good health news! Hope he and Barb have safe travels!

Lisa, you got a lot of miles from your tires - good deal. What an expense, but a necessary one. Did something happen to your nose?  ??? I'm sorry to hear your mom will be in the hospital for several days after surgery. I'm glad you will be abe to be with her then. You will be able to cheer her up with pictures and over-the-phone-facetime with Sydney while you're there, too! Prayers for a quick recovery, and that she will be able to enjoy Mardi Gras this year in New Orleans!  :)  :-*

KB, I know about the "Dr. Death" series, and what it's about, and I won't be watching.

WHERE'S E4E??   ???  Maybe they took a vacay? I've lost track, I guess... Seems like I remember maybe her saying they made New Year's Eve plans, maybe??  Maybe not? I hope all is good with them.

I walked 39 minutes today. I walked to Bluebird Lane, and I got a 2-Bluebird Escort!!   :)  Two beautiful male Bluebirds!! They flitted along with me for 3 houses - from tree-to-tree in the yards, and up-to-and-down-from a rooftop, too. LOL. It seems 3 yards/houses is about as far as they will come along, and then they double back. So sweet to see them.  :-* :-*

FYI, for those interested...

Tomorrow (Thursday), the "Today Show" is going to do a special segment on Bald Eagles, and the remarkable comeback they have made in their numbers since being placed on the protected species list.  It's on NBC, from 7am-9am, Eastern time, but check your local listings. I saw a promo for it this morning.

Take care, All.   :)

LANI   Beautiful AM reflective... :o   Thanks for Royals update. Greenish feathers or a bunch of grass in front??  Did Mike get to rest up a bit today?

BAZI   Thanks for catching my error.   Meant the nose comment for Phyl ( I hope)  ::) ::)   Thanks for the heads up on the Today show - Will remember to record it tonight as I am at an early  meeting tomorrow and might miss it.

Lani - The morning pic is absolutely gorgeous.  Mama is VERY excited for her Miss Fisher Con this year, Detective Inspector Jack Robinson (Nathan Page) is going to be there! Thank you for the Royal update!

baz -  I kinda figured tsk was asking Phyl about her nose, and put the comment under my name by mistake.   :D  Mama sure doesn't want to miss her Mardi Gras, so I am sure she will be bouncing back from her surgery.

tsk and all - Mama has a cyst the size of a large navel orange that they are going to remove.  It is on her ovary.  It is not a "big deal" surgery for some, but Mama has reoccurring pancreatitis, so they have to be extra careful.  She also has alot of scar tissue in her lower stomach area from previous surgeries, that she had because of her pancreatitis.

.. we here say Uncle to the rain here ..   ::)

It's 48° and pouring balls where we is.

I just checked the sun dial on my smart wrist like Fred Flinstone.

It just exploded and sent shrapnel into innocent want-to-be snow travelers

Hello Beakers!

We made it home about half an hour ago, weather was good until we got to the rain in Iowa. A bit of sleet but not enough it make it slick! Erin is on his way over, he wants some of the chocolate milk! I am too tired to say much more, but I wanted to thank all you Beakers again for all the prayers and wishes for a safe trip! See you all in the AM!
