Punxatawney Phil on Fox -

Waiting for his forecast. . .There's an eagle fan in the crowd with a huge head mask of a bald eagle.  Now I'm wondering who in our scattered group lives in Pennsylvania.

Hi Lilbro

Hi Karen, Pink, bbgolden and Nrstooge

Hope everyone had a good night's rest...I took some snaps of the cardinals  going  'nuts' in the fridged weather. Will post when I upload to Pinterest

Tsk Jell-O w/ a big rosette of RediWhipp. From time to time I give Maggie a rosette of the stuff in a saucer as a treat---her fave is Bryer's lactose free vanilla
Mike would play doggie fetch. He started it one afternoon, I was upstairs in the hall and he trotted up witha tinkle ball in his muth. Dropped it at my feet. I kicked it down the hall and he just sat there. So I kicked it down stairs and he bolted after it; trotted back up with it in his mouth---I'd kick it back down and he'd trot back up with it. Some days this went on for hours. One afternoon I was at Petsmart in Brentwood ---didn't like the kitty toys and went over to the doggie aisle and found a 'squeaky' Tweety Bird (the cartoon) he loved it! And went through3 of them. That toy would squeak with every step it bounced on---Mike you're so missed by us all.

Lisa  let's hope our post count remains the same after all's moved and set back up.

Clynn nice Bella photos; too bad about her cold.  :(   Nice back yard; luv the photos of E21 and 22

Lani  thanks for Royal update; Nor am I gonna call 'HD'  'Dude'   ::)

Kb what a tender and infurating  dog story

Eagles your GN greeting reminds me of those paint on blk velvet pictures

Hi Tig
Wow! a 6-lb fish. Good Show

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, beautiful sunrise pictures...another day begins for the Flyway and the GSB Cliffs... 6 more weeks of winter, that's not very long!! The Norths, there they are, sweet couple! Great vintage Valentine cards! 19 here, high 25 today.

Lani, back when Ed and were first married, our cat Pippers would somehow manage to get socks out of Ed's drawer (which was only opened an inch or two), they were folded inside each other to make kind of a ball. He would take them and pile them up like a pyramid under the kitchen table...

tsk, isn't it funny how cats have their own personalities, each one so different! Just like kids! Max and Emma were from the same litter but their personalities were a lot different.

E4E, Kris's shingles experience is exactly what will make me go get the shots! I remember how debilitating it was for him! Is he still having any lingering issues?

kb, I see that confrontation often at my feeders, both are fierce and don't like each other at all!

London Evening Standard - Keepers at London Zoo have welcomed two new spiky bundles of joy in the form of newborn porcupines!

Decorah 7:00 AM dawn and still 20 minutes to go to sunrise, beautiful skies at Decorah Hatchery nest this morning. Beautiful eagle chortles and dawn chorus too despite the freezing temperatures. Gail Woodcock

22 heading to 31  Sunny   ;D

LISA  Thanks for the tips on the vocals.

EAGLES  Walleye is a very popular fish caught in the Great Lakes.  Very mild and thin filets.  That's right - Oldguy's Mom with shingles.  I've known many others as well.  Not fun and very painful esp if it affects facial nerve.

LANI  Love the stories of your previous very busy cats. They are all so particular in their habits.  Lulu is very much in a routine here.  I"m getting a lot of exercise retrieving balls from under the computer desk, sofas etc. ::)

PHYL  Cute vintage Valentine cards. :)   Enjoyed your Mike story  ;D GSB view - Chilly    Yes we are in for 6 more weeks of winter..

KB   Love that AM pic of cardinal and jay

CLYNN   Pippers   ;D

Puff - Yes, I guess I do! ;D   I bet your MIL's Italian Christmas fish salad was a real treat! :)

Kb - Beautiful pic this morning.  Hopefully just 6 more weeks for you!

Clynn - Cute newborn porcupines - love the pic!  Beautiful sky at Decorah hatchery this morning!

Not a boast, just a comparison. 6 pounds is a good size for walleye. The state record is over 17 lbs. I once also caught a 9 pound Northern Pike, which is a good size for that species. And then a 2.5 pound crappie. I was so excited... thought sure it was a record. Um. No. The MN record for black crappie is 5 pounds, white crappie 3 lbs. 15 ounces. BTW... Walleye is the MN state fish. I prefer large mouth bass. The state record is 8 lb. 12 oz. My Mom once caught a 6 pounder!
