some bounce

I can't believe it. A ^$#&  vole walked across the sidewalk about 5 feet from me and disappeared into the lawn. Midday. GRR. Time to apply the deterrents. I was out pulling up some bent grass by our garden edging and sidewalk. Camper is out chasing Sandhill Crane pictures.

These are Inca, Aztec and Manchu. Black Jaguars who arrived at Tiger Haven at just 3month of age. Born at an accredited zoo that breeds for many other zoos and parks throughout the country. Apparently a boom year for male cubs with no females born to pair them up with. The zoo asked Tiger haven to provide a home for the three 'fellas' . If you look closely at Aztec, standing in the back, you'll see the 'rosettes' , Cheetah , Bengal cats and Leopard cats are known .
Tiger Haven is a big cat sanctuary here in Tennessee .

Phyl. These are beautiful animals but I do not think I would be calling, here kitt, kitty to them!   The one laying down in front has a look that says, don’t mess with me!   When they have females available someplace will they move them?

KB  Good for you!!!    They look magazine worthy.   Yes, I would not have wanted to shred the broccoli +- :o  Did Chris like them?  How long did the whole process take?

KAREN   Cat ringing the doorbell amazes me.

LANI  The cat looks very nonplussed about the pumpkin headware  LOL

LORI  YOu gave a very all encompassing pink presentation  ;D ;D     That baby kitten is so cute  :-*

TIG   What do you think attracts the voles.  Don't believe we have any here.

PHYL   Those are some stunning jaguars.

Karen that is a  very good question. If the zoo is looking for males to breed with the females---then I guess they'd be transferred. I don't think  Mary Lynn  would hold them back knowing they'd be in a good place and treated well.
For sure would not call 'kitty, kitty' to them.
Did William ever 'ring your door bell" ?

Tig voles   :(

Lori Maggie sends 'Happy Caturday' thoughts to Destini

Lisa cute and colorful Caturday. Anxiously waiting for Sydney's Halloween visit and snaps.  :)

KB Chris like 'em? Yours look delish

HAPPY CATURDAY, BEAKERS! :)

Zippo is not amused.  ::) ;D ;)

I got in a 35-minute walk today.  My pace has picked up! So far, so good.

Good night, All.

I'm thinking the whole thing took maybe an hour?..30 minutes total of cooking, lots of cutting and grating and then the sauce.

Chris liked them even though he doesn't like parmesan cheese. but loved the sauce which covered that a bit for him...He suggests bacon or something else on top next time!.....instead of parmesan. There is feta inside the cups with the vegies...don't think he noticed it..

12 of them is a bit much as they are filling, so I'm thinking of trying to freeze some...not sure that will work out, but hey I just have to try new things once in a while. I think they'd be great to bring to a party as appetizers or something like that.

I worked outside most of the day again, emptying and bringing inside one of 3 hoses, all art and annuals gone and then I used a plastic shovel to shovel up all the leaves on my driveway which was totally covered.
The rest will drop I suppose the next few days and then who knows?..I'll probably bag them up.

Like my sis says. It's not fair. She has 2 of the many of her trees that blow into neighbor's yards but she gets many from the farm neighbor in her back..
Me, nada. None of mine blow into anyone else's yard...but I get 3 that do besides my own 3, Not fair.. ;)

We oddly noticed multiple Praying Mantis on our walkabout today.  I find that odd

Notably more than we can ever recall seeing in any other given outing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St6jyEFe5WM

We gave them all a piece of our walking banana and they were summarily disinterested.  :)

I'm going back to what I know is semi-true.

Charlotte my Grandma 1st placed a small river stone in the palm of my hand, maybe 6 or 7, a Woolly Bear Caterpillar in the other.

TSK... No bird seed all summer. Must be the lush garden and long grass. I might try removing the day lilly leaves this Fall instead of waiting until Spring. Will see. Hopefully the neighborhood roaming cat will find it.

International Stuttering Awareness Day

In a world where fluency of speech is often taken for granted, this condition emerges as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.

People make jokes about everything—about blondes, about citizens of every country in the world, about men, women and children and teenagers, about cultures, history and religion, about various human conditions or mindsets…some of them are genuinely funny, and some of them are downright cruel and offensive. In particular, jokes about disabilities can be very mean-spirited and hurtful towards those who have those disabilities as well as their friends and families. And that’s why so many different disability awareness days exist, to help us understand how much harder the lives of the disabled are, even when their disabilities seem relatively minor. Stuttering can pose real problems in both the personal and professional lives of those suffering from it and take years to get under control, not to mention the amount of embarrassment and frustration it can cause in the meantime.

Stuttering has been the subject of interest of many physicians over the millennia, with one of the most famous stutterers being prominent Ancient Greek statesman and Demosthenes. Demosthenes, who lived in the 4th century BC, could not speak without stuttering and was often mocked by his peers, causing him to become determined to get his condition under control, especially since he was an extremely intelligent man who had plenty to say about Athens’ political situation. One of the tactics he used was to practice speaking loud enough to be heard over the waves with pebbles in his mouth, and after much hard work, he succeeded. Other famous people who have had to deal their stutter include the Roman Emperor Claudius, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe, and James Earl Jones, whose voice the world knows as that of Darth Vader himself.

Good Morning Beakers

Lani - Cute Caturday kitty with his pumpkin hat and glasses on, and love that good night pic.  Hope you got all your errands done, and internet is working better.

Lori - Hey there...love your Pink post  :-*

Phyl - The Black Jaguars are beautiful.

tsk - Jeff loves those walking sticks.

baz - Good job on picking up the pace.   :)

kb - That wasn't too long to prep the cups.

tig - Prayers for Rosie!

Sydney went on her first outing yesterday.  She attended the Renaissance Festival.  She went in her lil dragon costume, which you cannot see very good, but I have a feeling that is what she is going to be for Halloween.
