The base of the Cell Phone Tower in the background is at an ELev of about 1,090 feet.
It is about 0.4 mi WNW from the cameras in the N1 Cottonwood tree.
The base of the Cottonwood Tree that cradles the N1 BE nest is at an ELev of about 880 feet very near the southern bank of Trout Creek.
The Google Earth imagery is from 05/2015.
Now to the point of my post ..
I have never seen Trout Creek this dry to the west of N1 in all of my recollections from 2011 to now from a camera mounted here.
N1 to the Y looking at the Eagles and the barn beyond always looking left upstream.
To walk across 2 footer style by foot dry on the river stones across it's course below the elbow of the river bluffs and walk up to it.
It just makes my geologic influences very query.
This has had to have an impact on all it's reliant critters on the ground or in the wind , humans and it's responsible users upstream.
Trout Creek originates just NW of Calmer, IA.
About 8.5 miles SSW as the eagle flies from N1.
