I snapped this of an empty Decorah Eagles nest.

Doesn't seem to look like HM/HD are feasting---fish just wasting away.  :-\

Yesterday afternoon, a lil after 3pm a sub-adult was spotted in a tree in the bluffs, and a short while later a BE who could have been one of our pair landed on bluff perch.

I decided to check in on the Decorah Eagles nest this morning ...

and found a pair of bald eagle eyes glowing back 'at me' from BPT.

Phyl I believe RRP has designated that tree as the Bluff Perch Tree or BPT.   :)

Quote from: RRP
They spent a fair amount of time in the bluff perch tree (BPT) this summer – one of the reasons we named it.

Shep, amazing how tolerant the resident pair is with sub-adult visitors when it is not breeding or nesting season.

BL -- thanks for the name of the Hatchery pair's favorite bluff perch.  But, I hope RRP/Explore will re-consider.  Bluff Perch Tree acronym of BPT is going to be confusing with the North nest's Brush Pile Tree's same acronym of BPT.  Many of us watch both locations.  Yikes!

A pic from bluff perch early this morning, and our pair has been perching on a tree to the left of the middle bluff this afternoon.
