Lisa, great pics this morning.  Someone will start a new Forum for the Decorah Geese at N2B now that we can watch them separately.

Here's another closeup of HD's wonky talon.  Looks like he is shedding the old injured one and growing a new talon.  Similar to what happens if we lose a fingernail or a toenail.

It's worth a chuckle to watch the little episode with HM bringing a branchy stick about 10:30. She set it down on top of HD and he sort of flew off with it!  Maybe one will find it on the ground later.

That was funny with the branchy stick today, STL

This forum is just for the Hatchery eagles and N1.  RRP has set up a new forum for the geese at N2B.  Very cool, and thank you for separating the two.

Snow here overnight.  HM spent morning time on the eggs, which look the same as yesterday.  In the pic you can see a spot on one egg.  It is dirt and has been there for several weeks.  HD came in shortly after HM de-camped for the Y.

Changeover at 4:00 has HM perched on T1, HD leaving the nest to join her for a few moments of chatter and togetherness, then HM flying to the nest.

Lisa, frosty feathers make great pics!

HM wing-flapped at a sparrow about 8:00.  Then she kept her wings outstretched, might as well get a sun bath.  Little birds are nesting and trying to pick up materials from the eagle nest.

I was wondering if HM was ever going to go for a break.

HM did a lil flyby before returning from break to T1, with nesting in her talons.

Lisa, great pics, and thanks to cam ops for all the beautiful views.  Flying, soaring, landing are really fun to watch at this nest.  Good views of HM and HD with their distinctive black tail markings.

Changeover time around 3:00 to 3:30.  HM brought that load of grasses to T1, then she flew away with most of it and by the time she came to the nest, she had scattered grasses all over, but none for the nest.   :)
