Sure glad that we don't have to go to a parade today.  It's really raw and cold and windy where I live as well as Decorah.

Five hours is a very long time to leave the eggs exposed to the cold. What could possibly cause both parents to do that (besides inexperience)?

It is still windy, but HM got up a bit ago, and gave us a good peek at the eggs when she rolled.

As a 2011 Decorah Eagle alumni Pip and I are firmly planted in the NWZ here as far as the 2023 E1 & E2 are at N2B by HM and HD.

The DE's know and do their best historically hereabout without any help from the humans looking at them.
1,000's of years right here in this very here man made labeled trout creek IA valley. 

My personal belief is that Mom and HM2 moved on to Wally World because of all the human 'over-love'.   

I would not want to have to been the recipient of the conversation of the "burn"  however.     LOL.

Sunday morning pics from N1. Getting close to egg hatch watch week.  HD has been on the nest and HM perching out at the fishing corner for quite a while.  Is that HM back on the nest at 12:30?  Light and angle make it hard to identify.

 Next screen is geese at N2B this morning.

Geese look to be at home on N2B.  Last year Mother Goose laid her first egg on March 24th, if I remember correctly.

Am I right -- the male goose does not participate in incubating eggs.
