Shep  LisaG  Comments only mean we're becoming experts on eagle copulation.  We now know the sounds, signs, and motions of a successful interlude?  Even in early years that special sound would get me running from another room to check things out.  Oh yeah, then there was pain-in-the Ash, she'd even raise her head or come to see if.......

I agree - things looked good this last time.

Morning pics from Decorah - Around 3:30am, HD comes to nest bowl looks like he wants to lay down too, HD finally got a turn in the nest bowl, while two eagles perched W of farm (assuming the one on right is HM), and copulation on Y branch around 8am.

Checking on the talons of HD (still dark & swollen) and HM (looking healthy & normal).

BTW, no egg at N1.

I concur Puff.    ;D

* Egg #1 laid on 02/25/23 @ 3:43 pm *

HM be brooding.  8) 8) 8)

Decorah Mom would often lay an egg on Pip or I's B-days (02/24-02/25) so this is a nice present for Pip.   :) ;D
I'm wondering if this is not HM's 1st clutch of eggs, she seamed to have laid this egg pretty nonchalantly?   :-\

From RRP's FB page 3 minutes ago:

HM laid egg #1 at 3:43 today! Our Hatchery Miss is on her way to being a Hatchery Mom! We'll add videos as they are posted, but in the meantime...woo-hoo! It's been eleven years since eggs were laid in this nest.

Egg-laying seems to have begun about 40 minutes ago. You do the math! ;D
