Two very early fish deliveries by HD....one HD landed on rails, the other HD landed in nest.  HM came down and fed DH2 a couple bites.  Beautiful sunrise this morning in Decorah

Lisa, love the soft summer sunrise pic.  Similar at the Flyway this morning.

Good thing that the Y Branch survived the storm that took out T1!  DH2 is going to need perching spots when branching and fledging time comes.

If anyone watches the Peregrines at Michigan State Spartan Stadium, three of the eyases fledged yesterday and this morning, with one left in the nest box.  These are older than the eyeases at Great Spirit Bluff.  Pictures at MSU Spartan Stadium in the Forum section for Peregrine Falcons.

DH2 ate very well today, two fish and deer meat. That crop will be very full. I doubt that this bit of variety will make DH2 a fussy eater.  ;)

Thanks, Lisa.  I kind of thought it was that tree.  My last question:  Was it a tree that had leaves or was it a dead tree?

Ginger,

I have seen pics from one Explore chatter who visits, and the tree had leaves on it.  ;)

Thanks for the info., Lisa.

HM delivered the deer pieces with some long stems of greenery at about 2:00 this afternoon, leaving DH2 to work on it alone for a while.  She returned to help for a while, then perched on the Y.

Any views of the T1 branch cleanup in the horse pasture yet?

I saw this posted on FB by one of the RRP chat mods:

Raptor Resource Project posted about the storm that occurred a couple days ago, and that it felled a tree adjacent to N1. That tree, unfortunately, did carry one of our cameras and the microphone for N1. The audio now is being fed by the microphone on N2B. RRP is exploring options that restore coverage, while not disturbing DH2. The eaglet is at an age that we don’t want to “flush” him/her before natural fledge.

Thanks for the update info, Ginger!

Early morning cam view was foggy-like, could be on the camera lens or just general conditions of the air from Canadian wildfire smoke drifting over this area.  It has since cleared up the view.

STL - Per Explore Mod GABear, this cam lens was pooped on, and that is the reason for the foggy like view, and the reason we have not seen it lately.  The storm washed most of the poop off, but didn't clear it completely.
