Puff, yes, I found the action on the rewind.  Couple pics.

It's a busy time for little birds in the North's valley.  And geese, too.

Nice pics from this morning, STL.  I think that is the Raccoons' den.  I have a pic from Jan, 2022 of 3 Raccoons at that same location.

It's fun watching those Kingfishers.   Some might be interested in this site where a British wildlife artist, Robert E. Fuller, explains with photos and videos how he made an artificial Kingfisher bank to watch Kingfishers inside their nest.  I've watched some of the Kingfisher videos and it's amazing to watch given that a camera is the only way to see inside their nests.  I've also watched other videos he's recorded of owls, kestrels, stoats, badgers.

Ginger, thanks for the link to Robert Fuller's video.  I will watch it soon.

The Norths seem to be restoring the nest by rearranging materials. I haven't seen anything new today on rewind, but they are on and off the nest moving the grasses.  Generally sticking close together at the Scary Tree and on the nest.  I'm very hopeful that they will lay a new egg soon.

Sunday pics.  The Norths have been working on the nest, adding leafy branches and arranging the grasses.
Deer grazing under the nest in mid-afternoon, and that pesky squirrel gnawing on the wood support for some RRP equipment.  I hope it doesn't cause a camera to come crashing down on the eagles!

A pair of sandhill cranes visited the creek area today. Would be cool if they nest here, but maybe not such a good idea for the colts (sandhill chicks) to be close to eagles . . .   ::)

No sandhill cranes in view this morning, but numbers of geese flying, honking, feeding near the creek (no pic)

The Norths act like they are in pre-egg mode again.  They perch together overnight, they work on the nest, MrN brings food gifts to DNF.  It's all good.

I hope you're correct, STL! Thanks, all, for the great pics!

End of day on Thursday, MrN visited the nest briefly, then joined DNF at the Scary Tree.  He then flew to the creek bank, did not get a fish, and rejoined DNF for calling and copulation and more calling.  All between about 8:00 and 8:30 PM.

Rain at posting time of 2:00 AM on Friday.

Nest work again this morning, and DNF brought nest materials for the first time in several months it seems.

Nice closeup of a male mourning dove, mating calls. Doves have nested under the eagles in past years.

Cam ops caught many great closeups when MrN spent an hour or so preening on the Ladder Branch around noon, with short nest visits interspersed. (How often does that word apply here?)   ;)

STL  Nice pics from today.

DNF brought nesting materials yesterday and also one or two previous days.  I have not seen her bring in any sticks though.

It was pigeons who nested under the eagles in the past.
