Makatsa and Mahlohi spending more and more time preparing the nest for the new breeding season. As can be seen from NAOMI CORINALDIS photos, sticks are been brought in and they are spending more time together on the nest. We are expecting the first Egg to be laid within the first two weeks of April.
Now there's a reason to pop down to the Botanical Gardens. Besides looking at the Eagles, the WSNB Gardens is looking absolutely spectacular. In all the years I have been Monitoring, I have never seen the Gardens looking so beautiful.

Here's a photo taken on Saturday morning by another of our Monitors, Deon Holtzhausen.
Mahlori on and around the Nest with Makatsa sitting on the Nest egging him on for a bit of food. The Peregrines were present once again, just being a nuisance as usual. We are anxiously waiting for the 13th June in expectation of the first Egg hatching.
Monitors are on duty again this morning assisting Visitors to the Gardens with their questions on the Eagles.
