Good Morning,

LB, Your returning for a full week in office since Thanksgiving sure is going to an adjustment after your more relaxed routine working from home.
Good though you'll be sort of busy.
This will be an adjustment for cutie Copper too.

Same here about weather Thur & Fri. If not snow then rain. Yep we'll see!

Will you be seeing your family tomorrow for beginning of Hanukkah?

Hi jicaji  :)

Well I've got cleaning and laundry to do so I guess I'll get started.

Looks like the next storm will be rain. still early though so copper is a creature of habit to the second. OMG he is getting even more horrible. He is still on day light saving wants everything early.  I usually go into my bedroom around 9 on on work night and get ready for work and watch tv in bed. I am trying to go in later especially when I dont have to work. Copper wants out treats and bed in the bedroom at 9pm sharp and I have to be in the room with him.  He was pacing back and fourth from bedroom to living room both Friday and saturday and droll from his mouth until I caved in at 945. I couldn't take the whining anymore. Soon as he got his treats he passed out.  I cant take it anymore.    It's not cute anymore I was thinking of giving treats in bedroom and leave room once he lays down but that may not go well.   Maybe I will try it Friday night

LB, I think your idea for this Friday night having Copper's treats in bedroom at his regular time then you leave the bedroom afterwards since he goes to sleep right after his treat sounds like that should work. Let me know if you try that.

How did your first day back in the office go today? I bet you're tired even though most of the day was probably slow.

Geez it's Brrrr cold. Thursday a mixture of snow/rain then Friday all rain. Then low temps 13 and 14 then more frigid and blustery Christmas Day. I think you and jicaji are getting rain and low temps too.

#3 and #2 is cute.  :)

#3 and #2 is cute  Agree with Paulie :)

LB....Rizzo is stuck on the time change as well.  Drives me nuts.  Have a good rest of the week at work and Happy Hanukkah.

Hi Paulie....we've been away for a couple of days visiting Violet and her mom and dad for an early Christmas....We took a short ride to see Violet's Pre K school.  It is amazing.  So happy for her....she absolutely loves it. It's a private school and goes up to the 8th grade.

Rain for us this weekend....actually I'd like to see some snow since we're just going around the corner to my older daughter's house for Christmas....but I guess that's being selfish LOL.

Tootles...........

Good evening gals,

Work was actually busy on Monday and partially today.  One of my responsibilites is plan a customer for a  very high usuage prouct.  The customer is Church and Dwight and I believe the product is Laundry detergent.  They are in the transition of wheening out an older producted and bring in a new. so we re producing 2 of the same products.  through march.  so they want a lot in such a short period of time which is impossible so I spent time planning to get as soon as they want. they want everything by end of year most is not happening until January and some end of month.  They order byt the tanker.  THos big semi's that hold gas.   THat amount an prett much on a weekly basis.  if not more they want double which is impossible we have other customers . S that was my day yesterday. I really enjoyed it.

Jacaji glad you spent time with your granddaughter and impressed with her school!!!   Sounds likt you had nice time

so our blizzard is also rain 1-3 " of rain. I would like the blizzard but not until after christmas.

Well hello to both of you. Nice!  ;D

jicaji, Your early Christmas with Violet, your daughter and sil sounds very nice! I'm happy for you.
Awesome that you got to see Violet's Pre-K and school. Excellent that it goes to 8th grade. That's really nice! I'm very sure you enjoyed visiting there.
Oh geez to Rizzo and time change too.

LB, I'm so happy you enjoyed work yesterday .. and partially today. I remember you explaining what your work does a long time ago. I must say what you explained and described today sounds very interesting. You also sound very proficient in what you do too! I say that's why you were given this assignment for this customer. Your employer knows LB will get the job done correctly.  :)

jicaji and LB I'm in the same weather pattern as you. Rain then more rain and bitter cold low temps and winds this weekend. I wouldn't mind some snow either for Christmas.  :)

Well I had a very disappointing day today. I was to have my first knee gel injection this afternoon. This morning the ortho office called me to say my insurance hasn't replied yet to authorizing my gel injection. It's Euflexxa and given in 3 injections at 2 week intervals and only twice a year.
So the office said they'll just give me a different gel injection and it is somewhat similar and requires only 1 injection. I declined. I was asked why. Because the Dr who gave me the cortisone shot highly recommended Euflexxa over others considering the bone on bone of my knee and knee cap has slid to the side. And my PCP also said he's heard excellent results for Euflexxa. The alternative injection is Gel One given 1X.  The office cancelled my appt for today and I'm now scheduled for appt for day that my second injection would have been. In the meantime they are resubmitting approval request to my insurance company.

I worked for this health insurance company for many many years and retired from there. They are looking at the costs of the two gel injections. I've also researched the two gel injections. I'm not accepting the lower cost to save insurance company money. My monthly premium is hefty. I worked with upper management and the Board of Directors.  My knee .. my choice .. and I'll do what I have to to get the one I prefer. I'm at least going to fight for it if need be.   ;)

Quote #3 first but I like all three of them today. You did good LB.

Well tomorrow is a new day. Take care and SED

LB...Glad you were kept busy Mon and Tues.  Makes the time go faster at least.

Paulie...I'm sorry your ins. co. is giving you a problem approving your gel shot.  Mine did as well at first, but then they allowed two different gel shots after complaint. But, unfortunately, neither worked for me.  Hope you get approval and it works for you.  It's awful to have pain every step taken.  The worst for me is climbing stairs and going down inclines.

Well, tomorrow is more cookie baking day.  Seems like it will be  good day to bake.

Oh Paulie I have had both gel injects. the one every 2 weeks and the 1 injection both worked  Your insurance may not cover the 3 injection one  They covered it the first time but  dint cover 2nd tie so I went with the 1 injection eventually they stop working LOL  Looki into the 1 injection more incase your insurance doesnt cover the 3 dose one I would rather do the 1

Hi  :) and holy mud it's cold and gotten colder! Thoughts and prayers to the central states with the snow and even really lower predicted temps in the minus. Not good at any time but when people plan on traveling to see family at Christmas is sad.

jicaji, Thank you. Good for you for complaining then getting approval because insurance companies will opt for the lower cost for their subscribers but darn that gel injection didn't work for you. May I ask what the name of your gel injection was?

Have you tried knee braces? I use one Dr gave me what prohibits the knee bending and other times I use a thick flexible one that holds knee tightly but I keep the leg/knee straight. Both help a lot even on stairs and inclines. No pain and the swelling of knee that was like 3X the size now is normal size knee. I'm thinking the cortisone shot helped the swelling too.

Mmmm to baking cookies tomorrow! Is tomorrow a good day because of the weather?

LB, Nice that the injections worked for you for a while. I'm sure my insurance is looking at the higher cost of the 3 injection one. That's why I mentioned who I worked with. It's about money. I prefer the 3 injection because it's just twice a year and hoping it provides more relief.

How long did injection work for you before it stopped giving you relief? And may I ask the name of the gel injection you received? Trust me I'm definitely doing my research.  :)

How was work today? Busy .. semi-busy .. or back to boring long day?

Oops. Had to come back .. forgot the quote. #2  ;D

Good Morning  :)

Well the weather prediction here has changed. Has been snowing a while now and the length of time to snow has been extended then it's supposed to rain. Temps dropping to single digits with wind chill feel like temp to minus 20.

The Bluebirds. all 7 of them, are inside feeders with mealworms. I ventured out onto the deck and put mealworms in the open feeder on top of the table too. All the other feeders and suet have other birds eating too. Looks pretty.

Have a good day and stay warm and safe.

LB, Thank you very much for the information! I didn't realize how long you were getting injections. I'm glad they worked and helped you for that long length of time. Gives me hope.  :)
I'm very glad that your new PT place is helping you so much. Excellent your knee(s) are feeling better than in the past 4 years. That's awesome. And you have your appointment with the orthopedic Dr in Jan 2023 too. I'm hoping that goes the way you want it to.  :)

Hi folks... an early Merry Christmas.
I've done a few steroid injections and one gel shot in the past couple of years. They tend to work for me for about a year. The best thing I have done is increase to 3 hours per week of hard work in the pool. Running, cross country, front kick,  abduction and adduction movements (moving knees in and out), all in the deep end, and leg lifts to the side, three quarter back and straight back while standing. These movements have greatly improved my balance, greatly reduced pain in my hip, and helped strengthen the muscles around my knees. I also lost 30 pounds last year which helped the pain in my knees tremendously. Just my two cents. Doctor says it is up to me when to have surgery. I'm not ready yet mentally.
If that helps...
