Chat room for the Flyway has a video posted of BEs pack hunting the ducks trapped in open water with ice all around, might be from the 18th or 19th. Eagles are so clever about ways to survive.
This afternoon, about 2:30, an adult BE is perched in a treetop very close to the southbound highway under the falcon nest box bluff. Better on the rewind, but see also pics. Wonder if it is watching for rabbits or squirrels.
