Seems to be still 2 hatchlings here, with  2 to go.  Does someone know if the rapid rolling and shuffling by the parents is typical peregrine behavior?  Seems really rough to me, but I'm just a watcher with no expertise at all.

The cliff swallows are flying a lot.  Hope they will eat most of those bees or big flies that have been pestering the peregrines as the weather heated up.  There's a longer name for these brownish swallows from a posting a week or so ago . . .

Yes they roll and jiggle hard on them often so they don't stick to the inside of the shell.   :D

STLbf. not sure if you can, but you started the thread.  I noticed Great Spirit came unstickied from the top.  Maybe you can go into edit and sticky it again?  If you can anyway............

I am wondering why the two eggs seem to be separated.

OK, I'm used to forums where it has to be the administrator or person that started the thread. :)

Between 11 AM and 1:00 PM, still two hatchlings who are moving, breathing.  There's one intact egg in the middle with the babies and seems to be one egg off to the left. Have they abandoned this egg?

Pieces of shell in the lower right and in the back, left corner.

About Sticky -- I noticed that we lost our smiley face in the Index list, maybe at the same time as unsticking.  On my Reply page, the "Sticky this topic" box has a check under the Attachments options.  And the box that says "Don't use smileys" does NOT have a check.

If it's not just shell it might be that one egg that looked bad is off to the side.  Out to mow the yard..............

I believe the egg that "looked bad" is the one from which the second chick hatched.  Return on rewind to about 8:00 AM to see the half-shell that remained.  Just before that, the second chick appeared from that egg.  But I could be mistaken.  :D

Can't find the way to turn our GSB smiley face back on, and to make us "Sticky" again.  Expert help welcome!!

There is one brown egg to the left of the box, near her tail in the photo that I am looking at now.  I rewound the video to the point where this egg was still under her and slow forwarded to see if this egg was a partial shell that one of the e emerged from.  It appeared to me to be a whole unhatched egg but she is no longer sitting on it.  It just seemed strange to me that she was no longer sitting on the egg to the left.  It is a question that really can't be answered.  Will just have to wait and see what happens tonight.  I saw her feed some food to the e's.  The oldest was hungry and so cute.

If they know it's a bad egg they'll put it to the side a lot of time.

The abandoned egg just got rolled under the parent, not sure which is on the nest now.  Woo Hoo, maybe there's a chance for it to be viable.  It has been plenty warm today so incubation not really needed.

Nora, she has just moved it back under her.  Maybe it was warm enough day that she didn't need to sit on it and she needed more room under her for the for e's.  I was wondering if it was a bad egg also.  I am worse than an expectant father pacing the hospital corridor waiting for his first born.  LOL.

Thank you STL.  We posted at same time

4:38. Dinner is served.  YUM

Jaspurr, I know how you feel!!   So watch now as Newman (I think) feeds the chicks.

Great closeup from one camera -- wish it could see around the corner of the nest box!
