Good Caturday Morning Beakers

Yesterday was a gorgeous day - high of 76 had 5 min. of sprinkles that resulted in .01 of rain - rest of day was partly cloudy - today we head to 90, with some light showers to our North that are moving to the SE - will most likely miss us hear, but may get wet on our trip North for a family reunion...

More info on Roku...
It is very similar to Chromecast, but has a better selection of Free TV.  It has several categories of shows, movies, documentaries and old tv reruns for free - also has over 20 selections of Live TV news casts.  Over 30 selections of Sci-Fi programs/movies and all seasons of TV series.
You can "cast" some apps from a computer, including Google Chrome browser - I use "Ad Blocker +"  (ABP) that removes most adds from the browser, including YouTube - When "casting" to Roku, the adds will appear for the few seconds, but will automatically continue back to video like you hit the "skip ad" button.
You can do the same with your phone or tablet.

Good Morning Beakers! Good morning Peeps, lilbro, BL, Lori, jaspurr, Phyl, oldguy, tsk & Lani!  CATURDAY!

Phyl, love that cat fence! So funny, those cats taking stuff out of the drawer! Years ago one of our cats would reach into Ed's sock drawer and pull socks out (they were kind of in balls) and pile them under the dining room table. The drawer wouldn't shut tight, was open an inch or so, I never could figure out how he got those sock balls out! It was like a pyramid under the table. Never touched dirty socks, just clean, rolled up ones. Never found those socks anywhere else in the apartment!  Ooh, a pinata! Beautiful egret in Nature 365! The morning crowd on the Flyway, not on the sandbar!

Oldguy, wow, that volcano is wild!

Lori, thanks so much for the WBSE Sydney gif! The hug is so sweet, they are so cute at this age!

jaspurr, that jaguar with the catnip was really something, loved watching it...big kitties, little kitties...so much the same!  And the video of Otis and the little one, that was beautiful! He has a FB page, Otis the Bear!

Lisa, hope you are having a fun time with your Mom!  Love Cracker Barrell food and shopping! She is having quite a vacation, I forgot, how long will she be at your home?

baz, darling picture of Lil' Punkin and Stella and Mom! So happy to hear that tests were good and that she will get to be in a trial. Prayers that good will come from it! She is such a brave little girl, and has wonderful parents!

Peeps, I was so glad to hear that the young Puffins don't just fly off to the ocean, but stay a while off the shore learning to fish! I don't recall seeing pictures of that before! Loved those tweets, that duck and puppy have it down pat!

tsk, great picture of Mama giraffe and little one! All of the pics are good! Bunniez r not cheez-burgrz!  LOLOL

tig, that Irish Fair looks like a fun place to go! Ed is Irish on both sides, his hair was auburn before it went gray...

Just got back from the Farmers Market.  Bought some heirloom tomatoes and fresh lettuce.  BLT's and sweet corn for dinner tonight.  Chocolate zucchini bread and melons for dessert.  The market was very busy and today they had live music.

CLYNN, LOL, which orange should I squeeze first for my morning orange juice.   The first one looks pretty ripe.  :). Will have to get a bigger juicer.

TSK, you are home.  I enjoyed all your zoo pictures but the giraffe and baby was my favorite.  It is amazing to think how far they fall to the ground when being born.  Giraffe's have the softest tongues.  Just like velvet.  That octopus looked like he was displaying his best colors for you.  They are so intelligent.

OLDGUY, that tummy is made for rubbing.  The volcano in Iceland is getting large and doesn't show any signs of slowing down.  The earthquake activity is not letting up.

KB, wish I could load twitter..

E4E  ;D

I love ethnic festivals also.  Enjoy sampling ethnic food at these festivals.  Had fun in Pella IA eating ethnic dishes and the pastries were to die for.  The Irish know how to party.  TSK, did you and Camp do any Irish dancing?

A chatter just announced that the second little blue egg has hatched.  The mother is not allowing many glimpses of here chicks but I did get a pretty good look at the first one yesterday.  A little copy of her.  ;D

Time for some breakfast before heading out...

Cool.....just returned home from Ollie and our typical walk and Millie was home....the pup Ollie jumps up on snow banks and looks for...this time Mom and Dad were both home and after Millie got a harness on and leash they eventually were let loose in their smallish fenced in back yard....Success!...both played well with no problems...Although I was only 1 block from home Ollie had to sit down on a neighbor yard for some cool off time and a whole thermos of water!.

I can see eventually the two of them maybe getting together in my bigger back yard?

Gotcha tig...
Scott was half Irish as well.

Was just thinking how relatively bug free we've been this summer with the drought...few Japanese beetles or mosquitoes....lots of outdoor spiders though...and ants for you tig....one thing or another hey.. ;)

Waving to All the Beakers!  :D

A couple of people had asked...

I got the update on the results of my Littlest Greatniece's recent clinic visit at Boston Childrens. The special, but invasive, procedures they did had good findings, thankfully, and she tolerated them very well.  :-* :-* Her labs were great!!! Thank God. The TPN she gets for nutrition into the vein by her heart, via the CVC, can be exceptionally hard on the liver, but so far so good on that, fingers crossed with prayers, it stays that way! She grew taller! By a significant amount. Yay! Big YAY!  :D  She didn't gain any weight, however. Drat. But she didn't lose any either, so that's good. They made some adjustments to try to help that. It's an absorption issue. Her surgeon, who is the head of her specialized care team, and of the unit that addresses the condition she has, and who does research into how to help people with it, has started a new trial for something to try to help kids like her with short gut who aren't gaining weight despite other methods, and my Littlest Greatniece will be participating. It's not anything new, but it would be new to use for treating short gut-related absorption/weight gain issues. They hope to get 34 people in the trial. There is one participant so far, and he gained a significant amount of weight in the first two weeks, so fingers crossed on that, too. I don't know what the timeframe is for her to start on that, but not yet.  All in all, it was a very good clinic visit.  :)

Thanks to those who have sent their prayers and good wishes for her and her family.  :) :-*

Here's a recent pic from her Boston trip, where they stayed in a wonderful host's Hospitality Home, for comfortable and free home stays while at the hospital for her clinic visits. It's such a great program. The owners of this home were so nice and easy, and their sweet Golden Doodle, Stella, was a loveable pooch... very calm and easy. And you can see my Littlest Greatniece loved cuddling with her.  :)

Oh Baz, sending you hugs  :-* ...  what a great report and loving photo. God bless and many prayers continue to come. :-*

Happy Caturday Beakers!
Morning Baz, Jaspurr, BL, Lori, Lilbro, Peep, Phyl, Tsk, Tig, Oldguy, Clynn, Kb, Eagles, Blschue, Pink, Weasel, Eburg, Ezee, Bggolden, Maxie, Karen, and All!

Eagles, Mike is home.  ;D

Kb, perfect Caturday video  ;D

Oldguy, Thanks for more info on Roku and links. Powerful lava video!  Safe travels and good weather, (or at least no serious storms) to your family reunion.

Tig, you and Camper planned such fun and interesting trips.  ;D

Tsk, Love the zoo pics. What long claws on the bear.  ;D.   our morning temp was 62, it was a lovely morning walk too. The pines were wet from yesterday's late storm, love the scents in the air after it rains. It feels like fall will be early this year. I've seen monarchs stopping to visit our flowers.

Phyl, cute Caturday video. It's an oldie but a goodie.

Peep, glad power came back.

Morning Lilbro

Lori, sweet gifs and video of Sea Eaglets. Thanks  :-*

Jaspurr, gorgeous coat on that beautiful jaguar, it looked so docile. I had to enlarge the screen to see QT right now. She's awake, I can hear lots of chatter going on... Fun morning at the Farmer's Market! We love heirloom tomato, it's been hard finding them this year. They've always been plentiful at the markets.

OLDGUY    That is quite some volcano footage  :o

CLYNN    " fresh oranges"   ;D ;D ;D

KB   That tiger mom is certainly tuning out the kids  ;D  That is such good news that Ollie could have a play buddy in Millie  ;D

JASPURR   My brother has been to that zoo a million times - has a membership as they can take the grandchildren there a lot.  In all those times he has never seen a nursing giraffe nor the octopus crawling up the glass.  I was glad he could see something new. ;D ;)

LANI   Those cupcakes are exquisite   :o

Peep -- It was recently spotted in Iowa too.    :'(

It could ruin the local wine industry as it attacks vineyards.  :(
