HI EVERYONE

We're at 11 days with above normal temps so far.  More temperate the next several days.  ;D

JASPURR   Nothing like a rip roaring thunderstorm.  They are scary when the house seems to shake or when the lightening and thunder occur at the same time  :o :o

EAGLES  You joined the rest of the Midwest yesterday with your 95 degrees  :o

TIG   Had to Google Bearberry and saw that it is a ground cover.  Never heard of it before.  Where do you put a plant like this?   Slow growing?

BAZI    Repair job under warranty   ;D ;D  Phew.  First time anything has gone wrong with my Acura RDX which will be 5 yrs old and almost 50,000 miles.

LANI   Thanks for Pixie's ancestry.  You are so good about keeping that data sheet.  I remember when Dot was killed.  :'(   What a nice adventure for You Mike and Sadie.  You haven't been away in forever!!  How long a trip is that for you?

LISA   Your final products always look like they came out of a magazine  ;D ;D

LILBRO    I may have misunderstood.  You don't have to go 90 miles to do a laundry for six weeks?  :o

PEEPS   How sad for TRR losing two in the same day.  Sloths sure run into a lot of trouble!

Good Morning Beakers! Good morning lilbro, Lisa, baz, Peeps, tsk & Lani!

I was so tired after the Munchkins were picked up yesterday...didn't get very many pictures... first pic, how techy kids eat lunch...

lilbro, no, 90 miles is not very far to go for a washing machine when you need a new one! I agree! Hope you have a good road trip!

Lisa, your quiche looks delicious!

Lani, and a fun road trip for you and Mike and Sadie! It will be nice to get away together, I hope you have a good relaxing time...even though Mike will be
working it will be the weekend and hopefully uneventful!

Peeps, awwww, so sad, but at least they were loved ...

baz, oh I remember Mercurochrome & Merthiolate!  Merthiolate was the one that stung! Preferred Mercurochrome but I think Mom preferred the other as it
made her feel like it worked better when we flinched. We have a lot of things to remember that are unheard of now...

tsk, I think it is something we all fear...the CHECK ENGINE light coming on while we are driving... It happened to me a few years back, and the car started
acting weird immediately...

jaspurr, I found where one can get the plans for that She Shed! And several others! https://www.buys2021.gq/products.aspx?cname=custom+play+houses&cid=108
We had one of those bone-chilling claps of thunder a couple of weeks ago. It was so loud and shook the whole house, I had never heard one like that either  ...wonder if it
indicates anything...

Lisa's picture of the New Female in Decorah! Beautiful!

nr is making Christmas Tree napkins!

Good Morning

The lightning strike and thunder that I saw and heard yesterday afternoon was in the Richmond VA area.  Structural damage to buildings, lots of trees down and extensive power outages.  TSK, I normally like lightning/thunder storms.
Even the ones overhead.  LOL.  The flash I saw yesterday was different from any lightning storm I have been in.  I am now thinking that maybe it was an electrical explosion on the ground that I saw.  The thunder came in waves, at least five a couple of seconds apart.  It was worse than the earthquake that damaged the Washington Monument.  The last wave knocked a small vase off a shelf.  As of last night no one was killed in the storm.

LISA, that quiche does look delicious.  I am not a sausage fan but I will definitely try it with ham.  The crust looks professional, did you make it?  Maybe another recipe.

CLYNN, good news about the She Shack plans.  Maybe E4E Kris' clone can build it for me.  TSK can provide the chocolate chip cookies and LISA can bake some quiche.  I will provide the beer.  Where to build?  So many beautiful beautiful places to choose from.   :).

CHRISTMAS?  It is not even 4th of JULY.   Is OLDGUY putting out Christmas decorations?

TSK, anxiously waiting for the project pictures.

PEEP, April fools, that is a wooden egg.  LOL.   Forget the Loon, who is the guy on the left?

BAZ, it has to burn to work.  :).  Bring the burn on.

Coffee

SF Bay Ospreys
We are pleased to announce Brooks and Molate (mow-LAH-tay), the winning names for our two juveniles.
Brooks has blue leg band XA, Molate has blue leg band WM
Brooks is the name of the island visible in the background of the nest cam and is an important breeding site for many bird species. Molate is named after Pt Molate,
which is an area important for its rich bird population and some of the largest eelgrass beds in the SF Bay Area. Watch live at www.sfbayospreys.org.

Bark bark, alert alert!....Mom something is different!

Astute Ollie man needed to tell me this am that there were moths all over the front porch this morning and even tried getting on top of my brick wall to get them!...

too funny.

Morning all.

Have a fun trip with Mike and Sadie Lanie....

Lilbro - I have only recently heard about that brand of washing machine online....they sell them in multiple locations here if you have any trouble ;) ;)....When my Maytag dies I'll have to compare the two brands.

Another terribly hot day today and then voila: Rain is expected tonight so I won't water this morning and cross my fingers..

Cuties..

some bounce, drip

(( Jaspurr))

TSK... yes, slow growing. Of our 60 feet on the back street about 30 feet is driveway, the other 30 is city boulevard. We used to need to drag the lawn mower out there to cut a strip that is about 7 feet. I took the grass out about 7 (?) years ago, saved a section at the fence to be able to walk and pick raspberries, and planted a few Bearberry. Some plants did better than others. One half gets a lot of shade due to the tree that the city refuses to remove. I'll take a pic today to share later.

KB, you must have a mulberry bush nearby! They attract moths.  :)

Morning E4Eand tig  :)

It is still raining here this morning.  It had stopped for just a few minutes, so I could put peanuts out for the squirrels.

lilbro - Taking note of that washer name, just in case.  ;)

Peep - So sad to hear about Katy and Momoa.  :'(  Look at Reggae!

tsk - You are too kind saying that!  If you look closely, it overflowed onto the crust.

clynn - Love the Christmas napkins that nr is making!  Aww, thanks for sharing my pic of the female.  :-*  Great pic of the kids....techy kids eat lunch  ;D
Great pics of the SF Bay kiddos!

kb - They are cuties!  We have lots of moths too, when we turn the porch light on in the morning.  I have a box that Bandit sits on at the front door to look out, and when he sees the moths he just sits there and watches them.

jaspurr - Oh no way...store bought crust.  If there is a shortcut,  I will do it.   ;)

Great news Beakers!

Glen is on his way over with my generator fully operational!...For 130 bucks!...new spark plug, emptied gas tank but left a little fresh in he said, and something to do with the carburator.
He will show me how to operate it once he gets here and brings it downstairs...

Very cool!....hope I never have to use it but nice to know if I did, I have it for fridge, microwave and coffee maker!...maybe more, I shall know when he's here...

Later.

Will just modify/add....I know how to use it now, and it has 4 plug outlets to run inside the house!

BTW Glen said I am not the only one wanting a generator fixed....he suddenly got 4 other calls and wondered if many got the news that Minnesota is in a high potential area for not having power capacity?
I told him I thought he was now going to be in the generator business, not just mowers and other small engines....LOL
