HAPPY CATURDAY, BEAKERS:)

Clynn, such a sweet pic of the SWFL fledgling. I wish both the kids have healthy and fun adventures for the many years to come.  SWFL parents always manage to persevere through whatever comes their way.  :-* :-*

I'm heading out to the grocery store to pick up a few things on sale this weekend. Off and on rain, clouds, sun... Will cook a large cod fillet for dinner, to have with a broccoli and cheese dish. My martini glass and the last of the vodka are chilling in the freezer for happy hour after I get back from the store... I think there might be enough - might be half a martini... LOL... Will be a dirty vodka martini of some size though.  ;)  Will sip it on the porch rocker with my binoculars on the table for pond watching. Both Swampys were in the pond this morning - the Baby Swampy, and the smallish medium-sized adult Swampy. Gator getcher granny!  8)  Chomp. Chomp.

Later Gators!  ;D

Awe, I have been outside gardening for 4 hours!....my favorite and I got the entire backyard gardens cleaned up and done!...whew, a little sore but I'll survive...the weather is absolutely perfect...you are welcome Minnesotans! ;)

thank you Eagles4,baz,lisa,lori,jaspurr and peeps again!

Lori - a special thank you for that wonderful pic of baby Ollie man.....so cute and I had forgotten about it.
Peeps - and more chocolate cake!....wowzer..
Jaspurr - you certainly can have a piece of cake on me!

We actually ordered food in from cheesecake factory so along with dinner 2 cheesecakes coming. My fav is their lemon/raspberry cheesecake and Chris is his oreo one...

I've added a far away pic of Ollie helping me today...close your eyes to my striped yard...I followed directions for laying out fertilizer from my new drop spreader perfectly....hours later ssrl informed me her hubby's professional relative said to do 1/2 amount and then cross drop it.....just hours too late.
I used to use the snap pacs from Scott and they were discontinued and NEVER had this problem. Learned a new lesson with a new spreader...

some bounce

Me too KB. 4 hours. I found a left over piece of siding that will do for now... placed along the garage to keep the sparrows from pecking at the cement block. Then I cleaned up the Japanese forest grass plants (3) and a few others the hired person missed in the garden. I planted 12 marigolds in pots and added Soil Moist to those, the Fuscia and the Sweet Potato vines in the garden. And I mowed the lawn. I have plenty of other areas for bees etc. and our mower does not do well with even medium height grass. I heard the neighbors arguing about No Mow May. Sad.

BTW... Camper said he saw the two hawks the other day and I saw one yesterday. I have not seen the wrens though. I wonder if I scared them off?

I mediocre pic of our new tulips kn the front flower box. I will remove the No Bunny No Deer fence when the tulips are spent.  ::)

My turn for the shower. TTFN

tig - nice job...love the tulip row..

I know what you mean about the Now Mow May peeps....cray cray conversations...is what I hear. I have more garden than grass and plenty of pollinating material....I do think it's some guy who just didn't want to be bothered to mow in May...if you know what I mean ;) ;)...each yard/environment is different and oh btw, is June 1 the actual day,  ;) ;) ;), kind of like how all people at 65 have to have the same tests....when there is nothing similar to 65 year olds, if you know what I mean.
I try to have a perfect grass lawn what little I have....and June is way too late to get started, some of my neighbors lawns over time demonstrate that....

More authoritarian nonsense....shaming towards those that mow has got to stop and doesn't benefit anyone. Try ragging on the real issue: big ag....not individual homeowners.

Oh well...more of the same, yadadada

T40  Have not see a "dear diary" for awhile.  Love his voice    Wrong cat going in the cat door  :o :o   Very good - cat singing the blues  :)   Cat on camera  LOL    Moral of the story - don't mess with parental geese  :o  Then you end with the great Tony Baker.  Good way to end my day - thanks

BAZI   Enjoy the shopping and happy hour  ;)  I grilled salmon tonight - delish!

KB  Lawn looks fine - We are always learning and tweaking the procedures. ;)  Can you believe mid May and you finally have your first perfect day.  Pretty warm here but a slight breeze - our relief comes tomorrow.

PINK   Kind of hoped you wouldn't have to work so much with two new employees you are training.  Enjoy the time you have for fun. We'll leave the light on for you  ;D

TIG   Gosh darn - you have tulips to enjoy but lots of work to make that happen  ;)

Again trying to clean up the wall of shelves in the garage - half mine and half Tim's  Mine easy, Tim's not!  LOL  Try to get rid of "triplicates" - Nooo I may need them  :P  ::) ::)  Two hour job.  5 trips to the basement for more appropriate storing.   Looks better.
