oldguy - Thanks for the weather info.  I just came back from across the bridge, and it was starting to get dark looking.  Although, I had my eyes on a tall ship below, but I couldn't get my phone out fast enough to take a pic!  I love seeing the tall ships out in the Bay.

Peep - Thanks for the info on the Puffin egg. 

tig - Beautiful tulips!

Whew, I just did 3 hours in the front gardens, mowed, weed whipped, and bought and dropped 9 bags of mulch out there...I'd say I'm half way done cleaning up the gardens and making it look better.

done for the day....other than to sit in the sun and read.

I don't know what this bird is but probably Asian.

Lovely moon last night though I fell asleep before the red thingy, made it to half way gone....but, there were so many pics on my neighborhood fb pages it was a perfect night wasn't it..

Good morning Beakers!
Morning Eagles, Phyl, Tsk, Lisa, Puff, Clynn, Oldguy, Lilbro, Tig, Jaspurr, Peep, Ezee, Kb, Lori, Baz, Eburg, Weasel, and All!

Kb, it was a lovely night. Aly and I sat on the porch and watched it all. I went back out after 11pm my time and the moon was bright and it lightened the landscape.

Ezee, what a great shot of Avon eagle with fish!  ;D

Peep, very happy to see Reggae getting stronger and bigger.

Tig, beautiful tulips  :)

Puff,Peaceful memories.....  "Mauna Lani" we have so many treasured memories of that serene and magical place has a deep spot in my heart. The girls know I want half of my ashes to be thrown in the little cove there.

Clynn, there's were large group of ladies and men that helped Jane out this weekend. She will be dearly missed. I hate saying goodbye. I've bought her a little gift and card, I'm putting it in the mail today. It will be there when she arrives with the truck filled with her things this Friday. The young man that has been renting the lower level of her home is driving her and the van to Arkansas. They leave tomorrow. She is giving him a plane ticket to see his parents in Georgia from Arkansas, then return trip back to AZ as a thank you. She's going to miss his little dachshund dog named "Little Girl". They've been like family for five years. So, she decided she's going to find a rescue dog when she's settled into her new home. The young man and Little Girl have moved into a rental apartment just next door to Jane's former home.... I love Lilies of the Valley. I wish I could grow them here. 

Lisa,  Good Vinca hunting! I've haven't been able to find Vinca's up here. I may have to go to the valley to pick a pack or two.

Lisa, hope the doc appt is just routine. My mom's periwinkle (vinca minor) is an annual, so she didn't have to replant each year. It's a different species from the annual vinca you plant. Hope you find some in different colors soon - it's a great time to get them in the ground.  :)

I stayed up last night to see the moon turn blood orange-red at the peak of its full shadow (umbra) time -  which was a little after midnight (12:11 AM) in my time zone. I also used my binoculars to see more detail, which was nice. It was cool to see the nearby stars appear to get brighter as the moon went more into shadow, and then some of those stars "disappeared" as the moon got brighter again.  I had a great view of it out my front window, so I didn't go out to watch it because the "skeeters" here are already abundant and hungry!!  :o ::)


Lani, it's hard to say goodbye. Glad Jane has the great help from great friends and neighbors. Hope your new washer will be installed soon!  :D

Peep, Yay for Reggae growing into a bigger bucket... more room for more toys!  :-*

Clynn, yep, Baby Bro is shaping up to be a real character. But his sister already qualifies as a bonafide character, so I'm sure she is an influence. I found out this morning that at his recent 9-month check-up, he was 57th percentile in weight (a surprise!) and 80th in height! Both of his parents are tall. Yum on the Fish On The Hook food truck plan for Friday! I hope Kelsey will be okay to slide pizza to Saturday this week. You're going to have good eats this weekend!  :D
