Good Morning Beakers! Good morning Lisa, Phyl & Lani!

Phyl, awww, they are still sleeping on the Flyway... 79 high for today, maybe a shower this evening... Thanks for the Fat Bear info, those are some BIG bears!  Love the Book Street scene, very unique... you always find unique pictures!  Hope Jim had a good day at work and still felt good when he got home, and how are you and Maggie doing? You and I are alike on the bargains at the grocery store! Ours had the Jiff Reduced Fat Peanut Butter I like on sale for .99, limit 2 (normally 2.99). I pass 2 stores on my way to Kay's, so I stopped at both on the way there and on the way home and had 8 for 7.92 vs. 23.92! I call that excellent shopping!

Lani, sounds like you and Aly had a busy day! Glad that Mike was able to get the MRI, hope it shows something that can be fixed. Mmmmm, wish you and I could have some ham & beans together!  We have had the Sweetango apples here, they were pre-packaged and a bit pricy, but good!

Lisa, I haven't made beef stew for ages, it sounds good for a chilly evening! Mom used to make it, I don't think she has for a while though.

oldguy, great Walter Santi vacation video, love seeing the cormorants, and a glimpse of eggs! What a unique nesting place! The drone over Sanibel...WOW!

kb, beautiful colors along the Mississippi!

Ōamaru Blue Penguin Colony
Approximately 5 weeks ago, the majority of the penguins decided it was time to lay eggs. This meant that last week the eggs all began hatching at once, and we went from 61 chicks in the colony to 268! In the next couple of weeks there will be another 80 or so chicks hatch. Our monitoring team has a busy couple of months ahead, weighing a sample of chicks and then microchipping them all so we can track their survival after they fledge.

PEEPS  Quincy and Puma  :)

BISCHUE   I"m so glad you brought the ballet piece here.  I saw it the other day on FB.  How talented and clever she is.  ;D

LANI  How efficient you all were yesterday  :o  Where did you put everything?  LOLOL   I would be tired as well.   When do you get the MRI results?  How's Deb doing and your new great niece?

LISA   I should wrap my coffee cup in a scarf to keep my coffee warm LOL

PHYL   The book storefronts piece should be in a library  :D

Good Morning Beakers

KB {{{}}}

LISA, I had to dig out my fuzzy slippers last night.  I got mild frost bite when I lived through the "big blizzard" in Indianapolis and they are sensitive to cold.  It is getting a bit chilly.  The cuppa tasted good.

CLYNN, thank you for reminding me about the blue penguins.  There are a lot of live cams that I forgot I was watching.  The two I was watching before my computer repair were getting big and have probably fledged.  Will check today.  The lighthouse on Sanibel looks very lonely.  It was a good place for shell collecting but the beach is battered and unreconizable now.  i looked up sweet tangos and they are sold here.  Will keep an eye out for them.

LANI, wouldn't you love to have those baby raccoons following you around.  LOL. Hope Mike's MRI will provide some information to help with his treatment.  Happy to have Aly in the house.  According to Lady Hawk, little BT is still wingercizing.  He had better hurry up and get with the program.  Wish QT would come back and give him some encouragement.  :)

Some bounce
(KB)...
Did some pool, then yard work yesterday. Exchanged locations for a broken and good sidewalk blocks. Then moved a couple bricks and leveled, to become a base area for a new mail box unit base.
We worked as a team and then Camper made sammies with a side of apple chips.
Laundry day and will switch to heat. We have not used the HVAC for weeks however.
I still wake up in time to go to work. Lol.

Phyl - The coffee was good this morning.  I am on my 2nd cup now.   :)  Love the morning pic of the book houses.  Great pic from the Flyway this morning.

clynn - I haven't made beef stew in a while either.  It might be on the menu one night coming up soon.   ;)  Wow, the Sanibel Lighthouse pic! Oh my goodness, the baby penguins are too cute!

tsk  - I might have to try the scarf thing out.   ;D

jaspurr - Yikes on the frostbite!  I hope you are still bundled up, cause it is still cold out there today and rainy.

tig - You were busy yesterday.  Mmmm, apple chips sound good.  Jeff & I stopped and had some lunch on the way back from the eye docs yesterday.  I had a turkey & avocado club sandwich, and he had a corned beef Reuben, oh and a Guinness Blonde.

Peep - Adorable oops pic!

RIP Loretta Lynn.  90 years she graced our earth.

Move over little on!

Morning all.
Thank you for remembering this day.....by doing so we keep his memory alive.
My favorite picture of him:

As I stated once before, the first year for me was just putting one foot in front of the other...attempting to.
I spent many months or maybe the whole year re-living the horrible medical ordeal from his surgery, to emergencies, to covid placing him at home and to the awful care he got from our in home hospice care. As if I could glean something else I might have been able to do that I didn't to save him or at least make him more comfortable..I took notes daily on my computer and reviewed them for above but also to keep his memory alive...I also spent the first year talking with him and felt his presence.
This second year reality hit...he's no longer with us and all that means...I still talk with him and his presence is still her but not as intensely...so in effect even though a harder year we have moved forward.

Again, thanks for remembering him and us...
