Good Morning Beakers! Good morning Phyl, Lisa, Puff, BL & Lani!

Phyl, staying a little bit darker each morning on the flyway... 78 here today, sunny and beautiful! Love those Munday light bulbs!  Prayers go with Jim this morning, I have a feeling his co-workers won't let him over-do!  Trick or Treat sure is nothing like it used to be, we have only had a small number of kids for the last several years. I guess the wackos have ruined it, it used to be a fun time!

Cute video of M15 adding a huge stick to the alternate nest:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7KVq7ErzzE  Maybe they are reinforcing this one in case they don't get the main nest done?

Lisa, I love ham & beans, Ed hates it so I rarely get to have it....they don't serve it in many places.  Cracker Barrel has pinto beans and ham, which is good but not the same...

BL, glad he got the spider...  ;D ;D Sounds like you are in your element!

Lani, I can't wait to see Harriet bossing M15 around, it will be interesting to see if they get the main nest finished or switch to the alternate. News was that Ian destroyed both nests, but that was not so! Thank goodness!  It's good that Aly has a second skill she can rely on!  ;D ;D  I bet you are all busy getting her settled in and ready to look for a place. Love that dog!

E4E, you and Kris have a wonderful time celebrating your birthday and retirement!

Puffin photographer Kevin Morgans with his subjects walking all over him!  ;D

It is easy to forget how small puffins really are for such a hearty sea bird!  :-*

CLYNN, you started this.  LOL. Baby raccoons and their rehabber.

PEEP, lucky puffin photographer.  :D. Wouldn't you like to be him.

Daily military jets flying low overhead this morning.  Military jet flights occur on a daily basis around here.  These were flying lower than usual.

TSK, got the spider.  Need a translation here.  Maybe I have not had enough coffee yet.  Not heard of Sweet Tangos here.  Staymen are slightly tart and extremely crunchy.  They are the last ones to show up at Cox Farms.  Probably not until early November.  My favorites to eat.

Thanks KB.  I just coral them up in a jar and put them outside.  Much easier on the house. LOL

Late GOOD MORNING EVERYONE

EAGLES  Hope you have a much deserved retirement b-day get away.  Tell us about it when you return  ;D  Star will have a wonderful distraction while you are gone  ;) ;)

LANI   Funny good night dog   ;D ;D  What an amazing job by Aly.   You go girl!!  (((Mike)))  Sending positive vibes  :-*

BL    Adventure man - " Got the spider"  LOL

CLYNN  Your warmth is heading here for Tues and Wed.  High 68 here today.   Poor Vicki having to get through that video  :'(

PHYL   Honeycrisps https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/  were created/patented at the U of Minn many years ago so we were eating them long before they could be distributed nationally as I believe they were only sold at the Wood Orchard market in Egg Harbor Wi.  Following that are their SweeTangos - cross between a honeycrisp and a zestar.  They season before the Honeycrisps and are the best apple I have ever had.  Tim and Tom will be going up on Wed to fish and hope there will still be SweeTangos available.  Am not sure when they are available to the national scene.

LISA   Isn't that surprising - recipe off the bag - I've been surprised myself.  :o

KB   Love the snowy  ;) ;)

Jaspurr - 'round here they always tell people to light the house on fire whenever someone is terrified of a large spider in their house....am guessing this is a similar joke!

Hmm, my shop no longer smells of gasoline with generator inside closed up shop another day.
Spoke with Glen who repaired it and he says it most likely is coming from the valve on the shut off lever
The lever was in the shut off position but I guess that valve sometimes leaks.
I will put seafoam inside the gas tank as there is still a titch of gas in it that he put in to most likely check to see if after he repaired it it would work...
He also said unless it recurs it was safe to keep in the shop...no real concern of a spark lighting up the thing!

Mr. Tower is here again without his mate..he's here now every morning....so, I looked back at my photos and see them both here together in early November of 2021...that's not to say they weren't together earlier than that but it's the only pics I have of them together. So, I won't worry too much unless November comes and no mate.

Off for a walk after sealing the grout in my tiled tub surround....first for me..had to read instructions. It was formerly a Scott task.
Also had to ask my non English speaking neighbors renter to come blow back all the leaves he blew into my yard from their side.....ugg..had to use sign type language....he blew them off my driveway, but not my yard or under my arbors....I'm a going to blow them right back later before I have to water the area anyway....Yup I don't mind being that senior Karen! ;) ;)

Good morning Beakers!
Aly and I are getting ready to unpack her van and put everything in one section of our garage until she can find a rental. Which is hard to come by here in Payson.
It's going to rain today, so we best get moving. Take care everyone!  :)

Good Morning Beakers

The good weather is continuing here today - low of 48 this morning and mid 70s for highs - the forecast  has added a chance of rain on Wed. evening and the a fall in temps for Thur. and Fri. with highs of 70 and 55 with a freeze warning for overnight Fri/Sat.
Trees are turning - seems about 1-2 weeks late as peak is normally the 2nd weekend of Oct. (5 days away) below is one of the Red Maples in the neighborhood.

Some videos.

This is a good drone video of Sanibel Island - I found it interesting to look between Google maps and the video for before and after - it starts by going up the west coast, the some along Periwinkle Way and then the east coast before going to the causeway and south end.  The north end of the Island seems to have a lot less damage.  This is the area where CROW is at. Just west of the Sanibel Schools on Sanibel Captiva Rd.

Good Afternoon Puff, Phyl and all  :)

Just got back from the eye doctor's, and still dilated, so forgive me if there are mistakes in my post.  :D

oldguy - We were in the upper 40's here this morning, and it has not got much above that.  It's a rainy, windy day.  Pretty tree!

Lani - Thanks for the bear study update.  Hope you and Aly can unpack everything before the rain comes.  Good luck to Mike today.   :-*

kb - Glad that your shop is not smelling of gasoline anymore.  Sure hope nothing has happened to Ms. Tower.

tsk - Pretty morning greeting!

jaspurr - You're welcome.  I'm having another cup now.

Peep - Thanks for the TRR pics!  How cool is that, a puffin walking all over you!

clynn - Thanks for the video from wskrsnwings.  Jeff says, AWWWWW, the raccoon pics from Wild Heart.

oldguy - Thanks for that drone video of Sanibel Island.

What struck me is how dense the island is!...and for the most part, the buildings were intact....the trees and landscape well total devastation.

On a map the island looks so small and yet it looks like tons of people live on the island. I can now see why if you lived in a sturdy structure including the 5 story condos? one might feel safe enough to hang on..

Mr. Tower is still here waiting.. ;D
