A palm tree fell on Karen's mobile home, but damage is not great - mostly roof. Many trees down, but I am very surprised there was not more damage in the park. She is still staying at the friend's house. no power yet.

PEEP, I guess that is good news.  Hopefully, she can find someone to remove the palm tree and repair any damage to her roof.  She will be anxious to get back home and see for herself.  I was concerned when you said she was staying with friends and was still in Sarasota.  Her friends are OK.  The power companies will be working 24/7 to restore power.

Puff - yeah I know about the little leaf in the billions drop...they drop for me in my front perennial gardens.
Some years I just blend them into my mulch around my plants and other years I try to rake them up and end up removing mulch in the process....it's a pain and I did ask the forester if they could remove the tree this year before all those leaves fell! ....we shall see.

I will be out there whenever it happens guarding my arbors and my fence and my forsythia!...yup that crazy lady.

Jaspurr - thanks....I did call Glen this morning...he will come take a look next week if I don't resolve the issue by then.
For now I pulled the generator outside, tried to find the gas shut off valve?...I think I did but put a second call into him without him answering but left a message..he thought it might have been bumped, but doesn't look like it to me.....no evidence of mice in the shop...so I am still flummoxed.
But by the process of elimination I will find out if it is coming from the generator as I closed up the shop so only have my big back pack blower inside with seafoam in the gas tank and an old empty gas can.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about I have had a gasoline smell inside the locked up shop for about a week....problem solving best I can.

jaspurr - We just came back from Walmart and the grocery.  We wanted to get all that in today, so we didn't have to go out in the rain tomorrow.  Are you ready for it???

Ian has just made landfall for the 3rd and final time.  Some tree damage has been occurring and some shingles blowing off today, but most of the damage has been rainfall flooding and near the shore surge is happening with high tide preventing the water from rainfall to escape to the ocean.

LISA, yes, I have a big pot of chili on the stove.  I was hoping to go to the Farmer's Market tomorrow morning but it my be cancelled.  Many of the vendors come from West Virginia.  Will have to wait and see.  I am seeing some minor rain now and if the radar is correct you will be seeing some rain in about 3 hours.  Stay dry.

Good Afternoon Lisa, Lani,E4E, T40, tsk, Puff, Pink, Oldguy, Clynn, lilbro, Peep, Jaspurr, BL, Bazi, Tig, Karen, Weasel, KBS, Phyl, blschue, Jill and ALL the Beakers!   Finally reached my Uncle JC last night near FT.Meyers, he & little Peanut are ok. Prayers for everyone!  I apologize if I have duplicated any post updates, I have not gotten caught up with all of you in the Beak this summer and that's my fault and according to a good Beaker friend of mine she reminded me that it helps to talk to your friends rather than keep stuff to yourself... it's nice knowing I am not alone.  Take care all of you, I am blessed to know such precious people... 💜

PEEPS   This is your friend Karen you're speaking about.  I'm surprised as well that she does not describe more damage.

TSK, I wonder if that mitt would work on human hair?  My hair which is already thin is falling out in droves.  I think by Christmas I may be bald and have to invest in a wig.
