Only within the moment of time represented by the present century has one species -- man -- acquired significant power to alter the nature of the world.

T40, love your caption!  Hope that LisaG is watching; she gets the postcard poses, and that blue sky background for HD is perfect.

Personally (I know! Nobody asked! ;)), HM and HD are gonna have to do for me, because the "names" of "Mom" and "Dad" are already taken.

Yeah, Mom and Dad will always have a place in my heart. Too soon to me to call the new eagles this. I am watching and hoping that they will stay around.

Actually, Arcadia, I'd prefer DM3 and DF2 - Decorah Male #3 and Decorah Female #2 - which is more descriptive and totally in keeping with past designations. ;)

Sounds good to me!

Shep, keep us posted about the new currency -- with an eagle, yes?

Before the color cam came on, the Hatchery pair were perching on the dead branches above the creek, then they came to the nest for a short while, then the Y.  Pinkish dawn all around this morning.

Earlier this morning when HD was above the Y, a BE soared by as HD vocalized.  Looks like HM behind the leaves with her talons crossed.
