Interesting sunray effect on N1 cam ten minutes plus ago.  Like to think it's a good sign for next season.  Captures anyone? Or video?

I went back and checked it out on rewind eburgbird. Like a bolt of stubborn day refusing to end/give up.  Even the following sunset was special.

BTW I didn't see you last week?  Was it something we said?

Some cams keep ONE name regardless if the eagles change.
I like that.  Simple.
Mom and Dad Decorah are fine by me.  Simple.

As far as I know there is no cam on the original Mom, so why complicate things/

Puff--had planned camping out on Rick's acreage, but after observing weather report, decided against it.  And also dealing with covid, saw ATF as a possible spreading event, which added to cold feet.  And then there was the lack of fledges.
Missed seeing you and all the other good people.  Hopefully next year!  And I know I'll get a couple visits in before the snow flies.

I was hoping to get to meet you, eburg, but understand why you didn't attend this year.

See ya next year!

Apologies to you too Lisa.  Especially since I'm depending on you to display the pics of the peeps who did attend, hopefully with ID!  :) ;)  The one with you, Puff and oldguy was a keeper.  (And oldguy and I look amazingly alike. ('cept he parts his hair on the other side  :) )
Saw the live stream of Kay with Mr. Decorah but hardly any time viewing attendees.  Was hoping for live feed at the dinner, but that didn't happen.  Haven't heard anything from the Moderators.  Were any there?
(Just sayin'...)   ;) ;)

I did not take any pics of the attendees, except the one that I was in, as I would have had to ask everyone if I had permission to post their pic.

There were several mods that attended this year.  Let me think who....Glogdog, tulsa, teamcarnes, izzy, Iriscats, JoyC are to name a few, and I might be forgetting someone.

John gave the after dinner talk, right after the Mr Decorah event, but I am not sure if it was live streamed.

HM & HD really look alot alike, but I believe this is Hatchery Mom perched on the tree to the right of N1 this afternoon. The vocals sounded like hers, and the beak and tail looked like hers.

Jul 24, 2022  We haven't seen Bald Eagle D36 since we fitted him with a backpack in 2020. Raptor Resource Project director John Howe found him NE of Decorah on July 17. He looked great and was roughly 11 miles from his natal nest.

To see where D36 and D27 are now, or to explore the travels of any of the eagles we've tracked, go to https://www.raptorresource.org/learning-tools/eagle-map/
